I say BG3 takes it over Zelda because A) BotW won GOTY and as fantastic as TotK may be, it is iterative and B) Larian is an indy studio. You could give Nintendo another pat on the back or launch a relatively small company (prior to the DnD license) into a new stratusphere. I say give it to the up and comers - it makes for a more entertaining show.
All of the negative reactions feels like gamer entitlement to me. Would a remaster been more appealing? Certainly. Is the price too high? I believe so… but this is preservation for the game on widely available systems - not everyone has a PS3 - and it’s entirely new to the Nintendo audience. One has every right to feel disappointed, but to get a port alone (barring it’s not busted) is still a better product than the GTA Definitive Trilogy.
I was pleasantly surprised by the trailer. I think it looks a little budget and I would have preferred maybe a middle-eastern hip hop track to fit with the setting better, but the gameplay looks pretty solid. I don't think it looks full price solid, but should be a cool title to pick up on sale.
Am I incorrect in thinking that as long as you've added these to your collection, you'll still have access to download them? I've got many games that I still download despite never purchasing them. I've only ever seen a handful of games that I've been locked out of over the 10+ years of being a PS Plus subscriber.
Why yes, he was in Marvel Midnight Suns...as Wolverine! I'm currently in the process of reading all of Uncanny X-Men (currently on issue #127!) and Blum's the voice in my head I read Wolverine's dialogue with. I would be absolutely shocked if they got another actor to play Wolverine.
Just like MFTWrecks said, my buddy had the same theory about the infection causing Tess to submit - just a further extension of how the fungus spreads. Works for me.
I kinda wish the other infected had just rushed past her, showing that they already sensed her as one of their own and therefore not a concern. Tess, accepting that she is doomed, sparks the lighter and we get the same scene as is. But nobody asked me how to write their multi-million dollar show for some reason, so I'll accept their choices I GUESS. This show rocks.
The production value on this series is nuts. The sets look insanely expensive. I think the characterization is spot on and I'm looking forward to seeing all the new beats added to expand on the beats from the game.
I'll probably give it go. I was waiting for a deep discount or PS Plus before picking it up, but I'll try the trial. I've watched gameplay and I'm okay with swimming in a seven - I'm just a big Nightwing mark and think I'll have to at least give it a go at some point.
So, I know a lot of people grew up with this game, but I still think this is a damning statement on the Classics catalogue. We could have so many more titles to choose from. Is Sony still trying to move PS minis? I'm sure rights are a nightmare to navigate, but if MGS, Twisted Metal, Vagrant Story, Soul Reaver, Parappa, etc where available, Premium might even be worth supporting.
Having played the trial, I thought the 35 minutes was sufficient for a try-out without playing too much of the game. Sony should have advertised it as much though. 1 hour vs 35 minutes is a very poor 'estimation.' Especially since it's the ONLY thing Premium is offering this month. Sony simply must to improve this tier in September if they have any hope of digging their way out of the PR hole they've put themselves in. An answer to GamePass this is NOT.
I loved TLoU when I played it one the PS3. I enjoyed it again when I played it upgraded on my PS4 and...I don't think I'll be playing through it a third time. I may have given it a spin had there been an upgrade path option, but I just view this as an opportunity for users new to the PS ecosystem. I don't necessarily see it as a wise business decision on Sony/ND's end, but I'm sure they've got plenty of analytics to back up their choice.
Hey remember that time Ubi said, "Let's take some time off to work on the next entry," and we got Origins?? Valhalla is obscenely large. They can take all the time they need to work on the next entry.
Can I please just get a new All Stars with a decent create a wrestler? I've not been invested in pro wrestling for over a decade, but I love the games. I just wish they were more, I dunno, game-y.
