@KAIRU for sure, thank you for a rational reply, I fired up Bloodborne a few weeks ago on my PS5 and you know what? It didn't seem that bad for being only 30fps.

@KAIRU not everyone who prefers higher frames is a "snob", some people can't play at lower frames and when large frame dips occur it can cause them to feel dizzy or nauseous.

I'm only level 5 and there's already been more than one moment that has had me audibly saying in amazement "WTF?! That was even a choice?!".

I mean, why fight enemies when you can turn them on each other and make them literally tear out their own throats? Lovin' it.

@Kidfunkadelic83 the beginner guides will help you a lot but also have a great understanding what skills and attributes you're choosing for your character. If you find yourself getting stuck in an area, explore and see if you can find some smaller enemy groups to pick off and level up.

I was so very close to completely giving up on it because I didn't understand how to play it and when I listened to some advice a friend of mine gave me I started to find the game becoming more fun.

But yeah, it's a bit of a tough call to make when you're unsure and you'll be stuck with the purchase.

If anyone is on your friend's list with it, maybe see if they will screen share and allow you to take over their gameplay to see what it's like.

This game is giving me a gaming experience I've never had before.

It's definitely making me rethink strategies. Yesterday I tried sneak attacking an enemy before the battle started, instead they spotted me and a dialogue started. It gave me the option to control them with a roll and have them fight with me, I won the roll and they were on my side helping me to kill the rest of her tribe or whatever, when it was done, I had to do a couple rolls and ended up making her rip out her own throat.

10/10.

@naruball 100% agree with this. I'll let the game tell me how awesome it is. And yeah, Sony consistently delivers on that front.

@LifeGirl FFXVI was very straight forward in being marketed as an action game, it had those impressions since its first reveal, anyone thinking it was heavier on the RPG side failed to do their proper research before purchasing it.

BG3 won't be the standard because western publishers want AAA bangers out yesterday, loaded with bugs, MTXs and battlepasses.

Laughing at everyone comparing this to FFXVI, they're two entirely different gameplay styles and if anyone thinks that BG3 is the new standard for RPGs, they are sorely mistaken.

Damn, 10/10. This is my first experience playing Baldur's Gate and if it weren't for the advice a friend of mine gave me, I wouldn't have kept at it.

For anyone new, the game does a terrible job of teaching you how to play. Best advice I can give to newcomers is make sure know what your abilities and skills actually do, explore if you keep dieing and look for smaller battles to garner XP.

I went from despising it to it now rules every waking minute of my life at home.

It seems like 3 million is the sweet spot for FF games.

I am currently playing BG3, Blasphemous 2, Sea of Stars and will be able to play MK1 in less than 10 days. The games offered this month are garbage.

So that's a no.

@UltimateOtaku91 yep, it makes me laugh at all the people who said it was going to crush FFXVI when it's scored the same on MC and OC, so either both games are equally good or equally bad (I'll still take FFXVI over it any day).

Not surprised to be Starfield premium edition as low as it is. It's sitting at the same scores on Metacritic and Opencritic as FFXVI.

It's a great score for a AAA 1st party Xbox game compared to the last one but not the system seller they were hoping for.

Shame.

That uptick in MK11 before MK1 is nice to see!
