@get2sammyb it is smart business. What I was upset with was that the people didn't care that a large entity was practically bullying smaller entities to bow down.
To me "indie" is freedom. It's total. And when you try to stop that. Chain that freedom. You're Less than good person. That simple.
@ObviouslyAdachi ahh yes quality. It's so annoying that some of the sweetest, according to some who should know, stories can be found in ecchi/hentai games. I can't play those in public
Remember reading Axa like 20 years ago and ny teachers saw that topless picture of this female warrior mow down her intended rapist with a machete. My parents had a hell of a time explaining how it wasn't port but about, for those times, a strong female character that didn't see her gender or nakedness something to be ashamed of.
@Gemuarto I'm a pervert....and i dream of conquering the world together with Kanbei. I don't mind feeling attracted to the bishies as well but a hulking piece of "manbeef" will always tip my Kinsey scale.
Heh i can totally see it Kerry. If you are part of a minority it's always such a giant."wtf..." followed by childish joy knowing that even you can be acknowledged.
Offtopic: Nice to see you writing here Kerry. But! I'm sorry to say this but if I ever meet you, I'll buy you cakes, sweets, dresses, swords, long bows and heavy armor(light armor is wussy) until you show of your amazing gaming collection <3
Uhm, dudes. You ever consider the fact that people might just be buying PS+ without a ps4 in preparation for the day they do? Likewise for those with a vita only? You get to keep em games as long a you subscribe.
Seriously, I have both of them. And yes the colours are a bit duller than the original vita but in no way is this a poor hardware revision. And for some stupid reason the download speeds seem faster on the 2000. I'm probably imagining it.
Edit :
I should add that launching 64 gigs SD cards and allowing third party hardware devs (as the psp) to make cards(price drops please) would be better in every way.
64, 32 and a 16GB card full. Have a few hundred megs free on each and perhaps 20 physical games(many psp and psx classics as well)...yepp I'm part of the rabid fanbase.
But yes. A nisch success atm and as long as it doesn't dwindle I'm fine with it. The stock perhaps isn't.
@get2sammyb yes, the future. I can understand other people perhaps worrying about that.
I'm lucky, all these "niche" and indie games are generally my favourite games. Was many years back as I got tired of conventional AAA games. Don't get me wrong many are still good, its just that the majority feels like something I already played.
I for one love this game as well, I do not posses a poets fluttering fingers so I'll not try to write anything beautiful other than once again say that I loved this game(Tearaway).
People are still holding back on the purchasing of a Vita, saying "need more games", "better games" and such.
Yes it doesn't come close to the 3DS' library but instead it comes better purified of all the garbage. There is a game for everyone on it, these games are good no discussion, everyone won't like all the games but if you can't find 30 titles that you'll like then...yeah see a shrink or something because something is seriously broken within you. And it keeps on growing everyday and not only due to the marvellous Indie support (most indie games are better on the vita than on my PC/PS3) but due to the growing support of "niche" games. Perhaps some of you should widen your game libraries instead of looking forward to next years rehashed versions of today's game? Think about it.
And once again I stress how wonderful this is. Media molecule did us all a wonderful service by creating this. Don't dissapoint, buy it.
Bullshots here bullshots there bullshots everywhere.
Don't get me wrong it'll probably look really damn pretty on the PS4 but this is on a PC. All companies always uses the best footage available. Hell even if a game isn't coming to PC they still use PC footage just so it'll look better and we're all schmucks for eating it up.
But no, unfortunately Sony, Nintendo and PC will remain as my gaming systems until the 'predicted' CBOAT storm has come/gone. Or until we get it in Sweden
@ZeD awesome, day off, pay day I wish you all the fun! Yeah I'm actually just seeing the ps4 as an future investment in fun. At launch only Knack(yeah you read that right) and the indies interest me.
I'm so happy it is going well for Sony but so jealous that my cousins across the pond have it...I so don't want to wait 12 more days,..probably 13 since I'm down for a double shift that day
Edit: mobile...I really need go install English keyboard
@dudey300 I did..300h+...I think I played this game to much...oh well I can probably mange half that now and let's hope they made it easier to Dodge lightning
@dudeware yeah, but so far the rebated models are those that can't push 60fps at 4k which is a bummer. But then again Sony and LG have firmware updates to enable HDMI 2.0.
@dudeware I saw my local retailer offering Samsung's 55" 4k TV for just €2k. No HDMI 2.0 or display port. Personally I'm just waiting for a 4:4:4 4k TV with display port.
@SimonSiThornton you mentioned how some changes where more akin to Demons Souls now, did you ever try out strength based chars?(I was stuck at work during beta so my invite was wasted)
Well first I would say Dark Souls was the "soft" version of Demons soul, but I think I can chuck that up to one was actually already used to being treated as a piece of garbage by the Demons Soul
So what I'm asking have they gone back to a more of "Demons Soul" kind of game or are they still low balling it?
EDIT: I should have stated IMO, everything here is my personal opinion and not meant to bash someone else preference.
Geee, I don't like this vote...I truly feel TLOU and Journey are games that must be played and feel sorry for those that haven't had a PS3 miss out now when making the purchase.
@Munkyknuts sorry thought it was implied when I wrote "then I played games with good control" When you only play games with bad controls or isometric views you don't know what "good" is. And that was me
@Munkyknuts I love how everyone dislikes the camera. I never had any problems....then I played games with good control....yepp even that brought back the lovely nostalgia.
@belmont it's feasible, you notice it ain't at the native resolution for the Vita but it ain't to bad.
Would not recommend it to anyone that didn't like these sort of games but then again Legend of Grimrock really surprised me with being popular with the new players. As in haven't played this Genre much.
They need to get psmobile out there, get the devs to launch there as well so the more casual market maybe thinking about a iOS topbox would go for this as well.
Wait Waite, isn't it Sega Sammy, the holding corp, that bought Atlus? Not Sega Sega but Sammy.
And Sammy has left Sega to their own devices so why not Atlus as well? Off they will force down a few more mobile ips and pachinko machines but the reconstruction come December will probably not be as heavy handed as we fear.
Perhaps they will even expand Their localization unit since its been proven that many "nische" games sell even better in US/EU than in Japan....just some.
But then again I'm living on hope and I'm on a 30h shift at work...hope I can sleep soon. FYI thais
@Visiblemode let's hope its like you said, that would impact the game play some more, at least for me. Imaging not being able to actually go banas and swing away but forcing you to plan positioning in PvP, having your back against the wall might be good now. Break the tip of your awesome rare Sweihander? Hard to farm for it? No thanks damn now I'm imagining different scenarios...
Heh, I love how people dislike 'realistic' Deterioration.
No one here has done any butchering/slaughtering? (unsure of which word to use here), ask to follow a hunter when they are taking care of a moose/boar/bear, whatever, and you'll notice how many times one has to stop just to touch up the knives. Sure you can pay £1000 for that extra sweet knife that maybe only needs 2-3 small maintaining stops during a skinning/deboning.
Yeah not going to happen.
And now imaging that you are plowing through a herd if monsters, some with steel weapons/armor or rock like skin. Yeah if you aren't using a blunt weapon I reckon 'realistically' you will be using a blunt sword in the long run
But yeah let's hope its 'gaming realistic' and not real word tedious.
The possibility exist that it's hitting my nostalgia button when thinking back to old RPGs thou.
Anyway, I recommend that everyone that likes quirky RPGs gives it a chance, I think it's $10USD? And booth games will release at the same time in the EU and I reckon it will be at around the same price so not much lost if you really dislike it

@belmont region free! Or else I'm seriously manning the catapults with badly written Sonic fanfics and I start the assault on Atlus.

@Kimimi the cakes, dresses and weaponry was all goods I could be gifted in a old game I played as a wacked out princess. Don't remember the name
