Who cares? Let the game rot on a small user base. I’m not buying a dead console just to play ONE game. I’ve already got a skyscraper-sized backlog of AAA games to get through on my PS5 and Switch 2 this year.

I can’t help but feel for the Gears of War: E-Day developers. A PS5 release could have opened the door to millions of additional sales given the PS5’s massive install base. That’s a lot of potential players and revenue to miss out on.

The game was already rated by PEGI, which usually means it’s in its final build. Why on earth would they cancel it now after spending millions of dollars developing it for the PS5’s unique architecture? Not to mention the potential millions in sales they’d be giving up on the PS5 market.

The damage Jim Ryan has done with this misguided push into live-service games is hard to ignore. Those resources would have been far better spent strengthening single-player games.

Not a chance. Satya Nadella is definitely all-in on the multiplatform move. It’s a profit-driven play; the PS5 user base is just too big to leave on the table.

I’m extremely happy with my PS5 Pro. Requiem (PSSR 2.0) made my jaw drop, so I’m completely fine if the PS6 doesn’t arrive until 2028.

Exactly, a friend of mine who is an avid gamer stopped gaming on Playstation, as he says it is easier to get the PS exclusives from websites on his powerful PC.

So does that mean Nixxes Software is the next PS studio to be axed?

No rush at all. I will get it when it drops in price. Plus, all the bugs going to be patched & further optimization to the PS5 Pro version.

Gonna get it later on when on sale. Plus, by then it will be patched to run in a better conditon than now on PS5 Pro.

@Rikyy I am just wishing. Plus, Dragon's Dogma 2 (A CPU intensive game) approaches 60 FPS on performance mode on PS5 Pro. Rockstar can pull that out.

My PS5 Pro is ready for it. I really hope there would be a performance mode where the game can play at 60 FPS. I believe in PSSR.

@Ichiban Xbox has way more studios than Sony. They swallowed two giant publishers so naturally they got way more game incoming.

I won't ever consider getting the next Xbox. PS6 is the way to go, where you can enjoy Multiplatform games, PS exclusives as well as Xbox's.

@PushSquareUser Microsoft already approved Xbox next rumored to be released in 2026. So upcoming Xbox & multiplatform games will be played best on Xbox next until the arrival of PS6 (2027?)

@Medic_alert MS releases their 1st party games on both PC & Xbox since 2016. Why this time around they specifically use the word "multiplatform"?

@CutchuSlow competitor for what? With PS5 you get everything except Nintendo games. PS fans should be happy, not worried. For First party exclusives? Unfortunately since the launch of PS5, Sony aint pumping out so many AAA games as they once did with PS4 & PS3 as they are getting to busy with GaaS.

@Medic_alert just like what happened to NGB2. The game was released on 360. Remaked with UE5 for current generation consoles.

@GymratAmarillo why would GTA6 boost Xbox sales? People wont rush buying Xbox for GTA6. The only console that will get a boost in sales is PS5 & PS5 Pro (which will be the best place to play GTA6)

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare who cares if Sony has no competition? PS2 was the undisputed champion in early 2000s, yet Sony released countless great exclusive games. Now I only have to worry about my gaming time, since I got to play Starfield, Avoud, Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable..etc all on PS5 Pro.

I am having a blast with DD2 on Pro. The “Balanced” mode is really the sweet spot. So far no issues I have encountered with the frame rate. Playing the Pro on Sony 120Hz OLED.
