@slips666 for me, I don't care about their little games that recreate the 1990s feel of JRPGs. Those games now kinda bore me. I would rather have stuff like Rebirth (but yes, too many mini games and too much bloat). Just my preference for Square releases.
That said, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is absolutely fantastic, so it is possible to do turn based games in a compelling way. Also, see Baldur's Gate 3 and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
It just seems like Square can't figure out the balance btwn making a truly modern game without all action and bloat. They could learn from these other examples.
It is worth noting that new orders for Expedition 33 are now being delivered in May (at least in the US). So it looks like even with the Oblivion drop, Expedition 33 is still surpassing what they were ready for.
@Resi32 you have weird pals. I can't imagine liking the first and hating the second. Other than being a titch too long, it is at least equal to first if not better. Funnier, bolder, better effects. Seems to be the consensus as well.
@Matej the predictions were about $30 million for the extended weekend. The standard weekend projections were about $25 million. The story is accurate.
Anyway, I felt it was an okay movie. Mindless and derivative but entertaining.
Interested... but why March? Late February to late March is already overstuffed with Horizon, Elden Ring, Gran Turismo, Stranger of Paradise, and possibly the PS5 versions of GTA5 and Cyberpunk.
@andrewsqual what a terrible attitude. Consumers shouldn't care about console wars, leave that to the marketers. We should only care about the games, and despite not owning any Xbox system, I have no ill will toward Microsoft. I will probably end buying one eventually due to Bethesda and Obsidian being owned by them now.
@orson how is it a cash grab? Sure, I'd rather not have the extra $10 charge to upgrade to PS5, but the large island expansion is certainly worth the money.

Re: Upcoming PS5 Games for April and May 2025
@Steeleye50 oh wow. Thought you were being super picky, but quite the opposite! You like a lot.
Re: Upcoming PS5 Games for April and May 2025
@Steeleye50 you think this is a quiet month? Okay, dude
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii?
The second poll question is missing a major option - interested in the series but still haven't started them.
Re: Housemarque's New PS5 Game Will Be a Little Less Punishing Than Returnal
I don't get people who think you don't make progress. The weapon upgrade system made a massive difference in subsequent runs.
Re: Spider-Man 2 Won't Receive Any PS5 Story DLC
@DennisReynolds the lack of likes for your complaints vs how many Bez has proves how in the wrong you are
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2024?
Anyone who says it is "bad" has zero objectivity
Re: 6 PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for July 2024 Leaked Early
@Frmknst the Remnant games are far from generic. Did you actually spend any time playing them? They might not be your thing, but they are unique.
Re: Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance (PS5) - Combat-Heavy RPG Gets a Major Overhaul
I quit about 2/3 through the original Switch version. Not because it was too hard, but because I got sick of the constant battling.
Re: Stellar Blade Demo Drops Out of Nowhere on PS5, Gets Pulled Almost Immediately
@JP80 too bad there isn't a laugh emoji to give to comments like this
Re: Upcoming PS5 Games for March and April 2024
While I am excited for a few you highlighted, not giving any attention to Unicorn Overlord is a travesty. For shame!
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
There isn't an option for playing it at launch but it is noon on a workday! Just give me a few hours
Re: Mini Review: Pentiment (PS5) - A Slow-Burning 16th-Century Murder Mystery
You guys complaining about that bullet point are definitely being pedantic. The reason for it was fully explained. Just stop.

Stranger of Paradise
Ghostwire Tokyo
Forspoken
And if we are lucky, RE(make) 4 and/or Final Fantasy XVI
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Elden Ring?
@Uncharted2007 not that hard once you get the hang of it
