@ReigningSemtex such negative attitude must be from an Xbox player. Because if your a PlayStation fan then you could only see positivity in this, it’s good to see Sony plowing so much effort into VR hopefully the price will come down soon so those with less income could benefit from it, like yourself for instance! In future take your negative trolling onto other platforms it’s unwanted here, numpty!
@Link41 yeah but considering more play on PS4 than sh##y Xbox they can shove their access up their proverbial arses! Xbox has to be backwards compatible as it’s more like Nintendo in its approach to the same old 💩 time and time again. PS4 still leads the world over. And #uck giving money to Gates and his creeps. Microsoft suck donkeyd#cks 🤘🏻
So here we go then, if EA are going to introduce a streaming service then other big names will follow suit. And if that’s the case then we as gamers are going to have to pay increasing amounts just to access our favourite titles from different producers. Shocking tactics. I think if they just introduced (Sony) that is, one streaming service which accessed all titles released, then this would be more structurally satisfactory to players. Instead it seems like each developer will introduce its own titles separately thus creating bigger need for us to spend to play. Disgusting! We already fork out enough with game prices, content add on, and PS +. This could ruin the industry. Not all players have unlimited funds for services.
@themcnoisy hey you have the same fears as me, the whole streaming focus is killing the industry, I like PlayStation plus, and PS now is ok but the games aren’t new enough, and this whole minimum value content in games like Fortnite and such and the money making they’re getting from it doesn’t bode well for large open world single playing games, sadtimes for the die hards like us.
Ha ha ha ha ha games industry suffers more losses, I still say it’s because us story based game players aren’t important anymore, they’re more interested in quick cash than making perfect games, plus they are all focusing more on online games such as battle royales, remember vinyl records demise? Then CDs then DVDs and Blu Rays all disappeared or almost disappeared but gaming is heading into the same direction. They have passed their peak and the focus has shifted to more digital arena, online. Plus because of the decrease not as much being invested, departments being ordered to cut costs boost profits, hence the payment schemes in nearly every game available. Nuff said. It’s a worrying trend for us die hard fans being 💩 on atm. Grrrrrrr
@JohnnyShoulder well said I totally agree, cash is more important than keeping the customers happy, I waisted £79.99 on Just Cause 4 and none of them gave me anything more than a poor apology.
Wow, first Just Cause 4 was a flop, then CODBO4 below par, then Red Dead online flop, now the over hyped Anthem is also a failure, why has the industries greed for cash ruined what was once such a great thing to behold? Why release games that clearly aren’t finished and clearly aren’t worth the money we pay. I waisted £79.99 on Just Cause 4 and updates or no updates it’s still crap. And because of the failure in graphics etc it put me off completely, and I’m now stuck with a digital copy from PlayStation store and neither Sony nor Square Enix Avalanche would refund me. Disgusting behaviour from the largest companies in gaming and sad for us fans who listen to their lies and unfortunately purchase their drivel. I’ve spent more on movies lately than games because I wait now to hear reviews and yep, they are always bad. May the gaming gods help us all 🙏🏻
Yeah but take Just Cause 4 for instance, the poor quality and lack of attempts to fix the issue is worrying, and the titles you have mentioned don’t appeal to me, I like stories like the ones told in Battlefield, I am looking forward to playing TLOU 2 the first one was amazing. Such an enveloping story. Hope the new one will live up to its predecessor. But I’m not into, survival games like Days Gone, kojima makes beautiful games but they often lake narratave intent. I feel older games handled stories better as they didn’t have to cram loads of tech in to create the graphics we have today, Vice City and SAN Andreas are good examples of my point. I’m just worried that developers are seeing the extended income generated by their free battle royales, and with EA, and now Treyarch both in the mix it’s a worrying trend. I think games on disc are disappearing just like Vinyl records did, DVDs are almost extinct nowadays, I predict the PS5 won’t even have a disc drive and all games will be accessed through a new version of the PSN which gives access to every game available from the present and past and that it will be more like an Android box or something similar, and the price will be lower than anticipated but the new streaming service will be a little more expensive than PSN is today. Hope you agree with my points 😊
I feel that these weekend sales are merely to clear the back catalogue of less successful games. I think the quality of single player story games has greatly dropped, due to the increase in free to play battle royales, eventhenew titles discounts don’t make me want to rush buy them. I’m very selective to the good quality games of which there are fewer and fewer coming out. Just been reading about Fortnite putting aside 100 million in prize money for competitions this year. Good luck on that front considering the massive decline in people playing the game since Apex Legends was released, it’s a nice way of giving a large proportion of the hundreds of millions they’ve robbed people of for battle passes and skins...........rant of the day 😆
