It does seem like EA Access will release on the PlayStation 4 in the near future, as the service was recently spotted on the Brazilian PlayStation Store, and now references to Sony’s console have been discovered on the subscription’s website. While it’s far from conclusive proof, when you consider that the publisher said recently it would be adding another platform to its lineup in the near future, we reckon this is just a case of when now.
Interestingly, we have noticed that EA has been adding a fair amount of games to the PlayStation Now library recently, so this may be how it plans to work around the lack of backwards compatibility on the PS4, as obviously the value proposition will be diminished on Sony’s system compared to the Xbox One where Xbox 360 games can be played natively. We’re looking forward to this announcement, not least to see how the Japanese giant attempts to spin it after originally claiming it thought the service represented poor value for money.

I'm interested to see how they price it cos they can't charge the same as Xbox if there's less content but then this is EA
They will spin it by saying that it offers good value now....
Considering the lack of native backwards compatability, there is no reason to choose the PS4 version of EA Access over the Xbox One version I'm afraid. You will get less games for the same price.
to make up for the reduced content, they could extend the length of trials, say 15 hours instead of 10, or something.
The simple explanation for any U-turn is: When the facts change I change my mind. What do you do?
If they can find a way to get the Mass Effect trilogy to work they will have a customer in me, at least for a month or 2!
Glad Sony may finally get the stick out of their butt and give consumers choice.
PS Now was no replacement for this, imo.
is there a single EA game worth a damn in the past 5 years? i thought so...
So here we go then, if EA are going to introduce a streaming service then other big names will follow suit. And if that’s the case then we as gamers are going to have to pay increasing amounts just to access our favourite titles from different producers. Shocking tactics. I think if they just introduced (Sony) that is, one streaming service which accessed all titles released, then this would be more structurally satisfactory to players. Instead it seems like each developer will introduce its own titles separately thus creating bigger need for us to spend to play. Disgusting! We already fork out enough with game prices, content add on, and PS +. This could ruin the industry. Not all players have unlimited funds for services.
I'm more interested in ubisoft access (if they make one), always want to try ubisoft farcry and division games but I don't want to buy it.
@Link41 yeah but considering more play on PS4 than sh##y Xbox they can shove their access up their proverbial arses! Xbox has to be backwards compatible as it’s more like Nintendo in its approach to the same old 💩 time and time again. PS4 still leads the world over. And #uck giving money to Gates and his creeps. Microsoft suck donkeyd#cks 🤘🏻
I'm already a subscriber on XB1. It would be cool if i can use it on PS4 as well without paying extra.
