Hey I remember 2K Battlegrounds. Insult of a game, glorified mobile game with a $40 price tag. i think I played one royal rumble of that online and it was just one guy sitting on the turnbuckle and his friend immediately throwing everyone our of the ring. One of the worst gaming purchases I’ve ever made. I’m surprised it lasted so long, I’d have thought it’d be shut down years ago, I can’t imagine anyone has played it for a long time. I’m also surprised there’s no word on 2K25’s servers shutting down yet.
@IntrepidWombat Lmao. Try reading the article before posting your paragraph of snark.
“You’ll be able to do this via the website, app, or a console you may still own. Alternatively, you’ll have the option to contact the company and explicitly tell them you want to retain your account.”
CoD will be fun to play campaign for a few hours and mindlessly run around and shoot stuff I guess. For certain a bad month but there’s been worse.
Also I’m sure they save the worst months for whenever they’ve made news for anti-consumer practices like price increases and the physical media topic. I’m starting to think they do it on purpose to take the piss. Wouldn’t surprise me.
It won’t be DOA because the PlayStation is one of those brand names that’ll always sell and it’ll be cheaper than Microsoft’s next console. Still though I don’t see any reasons to be interested in it. The PS5 has been handicapped for years from various reasons and it’s highly diminished the value of it, let alone PS6 with twice the cost, a monopolised storefront, uncertainty with previously bought physical media, pretty much all of its goodwill from the PS4 generation pissed away and who knows how worse things will get in the next few years.
Crossworlds is pretty great, but there isn’t enough content in the game. Outside of the single player rival mechanics the only thing it really has is the online festivals which, while fun, only occur about once a month for a few days. They should’ve added the challenge mode thing they had in Transformed.
I’ve only got it because I stacked up on PS Now years ago. When it runs out likely I won’t bother renewing. Most of the games on these services I care about I can buy cheap or play elsewhere. Just not worth the cost.
I’m not one for hyperbole when it comes to these, I like to think I have pretty realistic expectations, I don’t expect every month to be good. I have to say though this selection is deplorable.
There’s been months with far worse quality (Saints Row, AEW Fight Forever, Undisputed) so it’s not an all time stinker, but this is pretty awful.
@MamaSymphonia People will look for any excuse to attack something that doesn’t fit in their ideology, regardless if it’s merited or not. Happens both sides, just like the article on here from last week or so where it was someone complaining about “sexy armour” which was really an excuse to attack who the developer was.
It’s unfortunate and sad that articles like this and stuff all over YouTube and social media is always content that’s most interacted with (but seeing as I’m commenting here guess I’m part of that problem too.)
Personally, I don’t care for any of that stuff. I judge a game for what it is.
@Rich33 I’m glad to see someone say something positive about Dragon Veilguard. That character part was cringe and unnecessary sure but it’s a decent game overall. I’d rather play Veilguard over Inquisition any day.
A great game, one of my favorite of the 360/PS3 generation. Really detailed and great looking city that most people will never know about because unless you go for all the collectibles you have no reason to explore. The story in this game was pretty good, until you got to where it goes to shįt and I lost my interest in the story after that. One of the best games that’ll never get a sequel I think. Speaking from the perspective of someone that never followed this game during development at all and bought it on a whim in the PS Store one day.
@Jill_Sandwich You haven’t missed much, it doesn’t have the charm of the first 2 games and has one of the worst open worlds in any game I’ve played. Some of the really powerful weapons you can create are pretty fun though. Don’t go in expecting quality on the level of the first two.
I don’t know if I’m expecting much, Rockstar’s gameplay formula hasn’t evolved since 2001. Playing stale outdated gameplay from the PS2 era doesn’t sound great.
@HonestHick You’re absolutely right. Too much emphasis placed on these metrics when, why should we care? We’re fans, not shareholders. PlayStation don’t care about us (which has been abundantly clear these last few years) and we shouldn’t care about them. We don’t owe them anything, All that should matter is the services they provide and how they treat their customers, forget brand loyalty.
I still remember how much fun Halo Reach online was all those years ago. Camping in the vents on infected, good times. Tried multiplayer in other Halo games and it just wasn’t the same. Crazy how badly they’ve fallen off since.
I love both western and Japanese rock/metal so familiar with some of those. PassCode are one of my favourites, happy to see them get exposure.
Still not going to play this though because these open world driving games are all the same to me and put me to sleep, doesn’t matter what music it has.
If real, been waiting for this for a long time, I loved Worms 3D and Mayhem, Forts was decent too. Great games!
Closest you can get now is Ultimate Mayhem on Steam since the 360 marketplace is gone and it’s not playable on Series X. If anyone reading is interested it’s currently on sale at a bargain $3.
Man, I don’t understand why these people have to overcomplicate things. Brotherhood multiplayer was fantastic back in the day, just give us that as its own thing instead of this contrived guff.
@ozkrmz No, I don’t think so. Had my PS5 since March 2021 and I can count the number of games on one hand I’ve enjoyed that you couldn’t get on PS4, and as someone else said you’ll be able to play them all on PS6 anyway. Best thing about PS5 honestly is being able to play PS4 games without your console sounding like a hairdryer.
EAFC 26 will be alright for a little I guess, my FIFA days are long in the past but may as well download it. Too many souls like games and it’s a genre I couldn’t care less about and I’m not interested in Metroidvania either. For me personally It’s alright but the essential monthly games are never something you should expect much from.
I’d love this, but if even Red Dead Redemption 2, which for as successful as it was, to this day still does not have a PS5/XSX version, gets shafted because of GTA, this Bully, Manhunt etc have no chance.
@themightyant They’re not better protected. Porn and the like can easily be gotten around with VPNs and with games, it’s not 12 year olds buying GTA and COD, it’s the parents, those same adults that will give their children their IDs to access online services. It’s different to stores because they don’t keep your ID within some database that has been and will again be breached. It’s not the same at all, I don’t know why you’re trying to compare the two.
The issues with this are clear as day, it doesn’t solve anything, just create more problems. I don’t understand why you’re trying to hard to convince yourself otherwise. They’re pissing on your head and believing them when they tell you it’s raining, come on now.
Absolutely disgusting. Disguised as “protecting children” when it’s just about giving billion dollar companies more power by hoarding data until they inevitably get hacked. Really hope this gets fought back against before it becomes commonplace in the world, because make no mistake about it this 100% will become reality if it isn’t repelled.
Disaster Report 4 may not have the best reputation, it’s a completely incoherent mess, but I have to say I certainly wasn’t bored playing it. I dare say I even liked it..You can definitely do a lot worse with your time.
I’ve been wanting to get back into these. For all their problems I enjoyed the first and Before the Storm, but 2 was so brutally awful I was completely turned off the rest of the series. Are the rest of them worth giving a shot?
Hard to have any faith the next generation will be any better after how bad this one has been. I wouldn’t bother with it until there’s some Black Friday deals a few years after release, IF there’s some games I actually care about, unlike this one. This generation has really soured my interest in gaming.
See, I get it, there’s a lot of factors out of their control, but this is also the same company that pissed obscene amounts of money up the wall by spending billions developing games no one wanted for several years only to have them shut down within weeks, and acquiring studios to close them before even a single release saw the light of day. Hard to have any sympathy for them at all.

You don’t need a console to sign in to PSN.

Re: PS5 Fans Panic Over 'Lost Games' Clause, But There's More to the Story
If you can’t even be bothered to start up your PS5 for that long you probably don’t care anyway. What a dumb thing to get upset with.

Just get it over with so it can inevitably fail and be shut down within a year so we can stop hearing about it.
Re: June 2026 PS Plus Essential Games Available to Download Now
Guess I’ll try that Nickelodeon Smash clone, I like those, but I know their games aren’t great so I doubt it’ll be entertaining beyond 30 minutes.
Edit: Lost interest after I noticed the campaign was a rogue like.

No. I would say the series was moving in the right direction after Bubsy 3D when they decided to let it rot for 2 decades.
