I’ve been wanting to get back into these. For all their problems I enjoyed the first and Before the Storm, but 2 was so brutally awful I was completely turned off the rest of the series. Are the rest of them worth giving a shot?
Hard to have any faith the next generation will be any better after how bad this one has been. I wouldn’t bother with it until there’s some Black Friday deals a few years after release, IF there’s some games I actually care about, unlike this one. This generation has really soured my interest in gaming.
See, I get it, there’s a lot of factors out of their control, but this is also the same company that pissed obscene amounts of money up the wall by spending billions developing games no one wanted for several years only to have them shut down within weeks, and acquiring studios to close them before even a single release saw the light of day. Hard to have any sympathy for them at all.
That much for an over half decade console in insane. Can’t believe that my PS5 that I bought 5 years ago was $150 cheaper than it is to buy now one. This industry is going to crash, soon.
I have Sonic Crossworlds and enjoy it as I have no real interest in a Switch 2 right now and I’ve always preferred Sonic. I also enjoyed Infinite Wealth quite a lot too but as someone who’s played almost every single Yakuza/Like a Dragon/Judgment title from 0 onwards I’m burnt out of them for now.
For the first time in a long time I’ll have to pass on one of these as I can’t justify spending $90 to have the same game for the fifth year straight given how stale they’re beginning to feel. With how cavalier they’re being with the monetisation in these looks the perfect time to detach myself. The PS2 wrestling games will always be classics at least.
Never even heard of this before, but this couldn’t even last a pathetic 2 months? Embarrassing. I can’t wait for the industry to move on from this trend but I fear it’s still not going anywhere anytime soon.
@Gbarsotini Yeah, I get that. If it didn’t evolve in some way it would’ve been destroyed by GTA 5. I guess 2 and 3 worked at the time because of how series and gritty GTA 4 was. I personally don’t like The Third at all and I don’t understand the love some people have for it in these comments, but it would have been fine if they went forward with that tone. Would have been much better than the awful Borderlands “lol so random” humour and the Frankenstein’s monster of references and parodies that 4 was. 3 had an identity at least, 4 didn’t.
Saints Row was dead after 4 and Gat out of Hell. The remake just dug up the corpse and took a big dump on it.
Funny that Saints 1 and 2 got criticism for being GTA clones, 2 being the best GTA clone of all time, and it was when it tried to be “different” that it failed. 2 was the most personality this series ever had. Wonder what all those people that criticised it think now. You know, sometimes being a “clone” isn’t always a bad thing.
I like trophies/achievements, they motivate me to do outside of the box things I wouldn’t do otherwise and appreciate games more when done right. They’re never anything to take that seriously. I never understand why people care about stat padding arbitrary profile metrics like this.
All of these verifications are dumb. My Xbox account is almost 18 years old so why should I need to do this. And all of these people that think this will do anything are naive.
These don’t fix the problems they were set out to fix, it’s been proven how easy this stuff is to circumvent to the point pre teens can get around it within a few minutes. All it does is create unnecessary massive data privacy concerns by giving your most valuable information to these companies, which have been breached in the past and now they contain even more information attackers are more encouraged to do so.

Re: Fallout 3 PS5 Is Fast Becoming One of the Worst Kept Secrets in Gaming
Looking forward to these as these 2 games could really use remasters and we’re probably not getting anything else Fallout related until the 2040s.

In the age of some live services not lasting a year, 3 months, even 1 month, 10 years is a lifetime. Props

This kind of stuff is why I never bother with “free to play” games.
