Push Rewind PS4 PlayStation 4 1

We were ready to write this week off, but it's been an action-packed weekend. Not only did a Knack sequel appear to leak, but one toy manufacturer has hinted that Sony may be bringing Crash Bandicoot back. That's all in addition to the slew of reviews that we wrote over the past few days, with titles like Firewatch and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth all being observed by our critical eye.

Firewatch PS4 PlayStation 4

Reviews

Firewatch - 6/10

Firewatch has the embers of a great narrative-driven game, but it fails to ever ignite into a furnace. Unforgivable performance issues detract from the otherwise outstanding art direction, but it's the abrupt story and unconvincing characters that really douse the hype here. Campo Santo's inaugural outing starts incredibly strongly, but your alarm bells will be ringing long before it burns out without ever really sparking into life.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - 8/10

Easily one of the most addictive RPGs on the PS4, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth features an enjoyable story and a great setting for a fantastic monster raising system. Although many of its components aren't perfect and proceedings do drag at times, the process of building and perfecting a team of powerful digimon is just too rewarding to walk away from. The phrase "digimon are the champions" has never been more fitting.

Reaction: Why Sony Won't Deploy PS4 Exclusives on PC

Microsoft melted the web with its Quantum Break announcements yesterday. Unfortunately for Remedy, the forthcoming time-shifting affair got nudged to the side, as platform politics ruled the day. For those of you that missed it, the Redmond firm confirmed that the release would be coming to the PC day-and-date with the Xbox One. Those that pre-order the game will get both versions for free. Not a big deal, right?

Toy Maker Says Sony's Bringing Crash Bandicoot Back

There's too much smoke now surely? Hot on the heels of Shawn Layden's t-shirt tease and all of the social media hints, NECA Toys' Randy Falk has suggested that Sony's bringing Crash Bandicoot back. Speaking at the New York Toy Fair this weekend, the bearded director touched upon his company's PlayStation line, and said: "Looking at some of [Sony's] other titles, obviously they're bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool." Are they now?

Er, There May Be a Knack Sequel in Production for PS4

Well, then – this is a story that we never, ever expected to write: Knack may be getting a sequel. An eagle-eyed member at NeoGAF spotted reference to the unexpected follow-up on the resume of a Taiwanese animator named Mindy Liang. Apparently, she worked on cut-scenes for the unannounced PlayStation 4 title back in May 2015.
