Have you ever wished you could play God of War with Joy-Cons? No? Well, it's possible anyway, if you fancy. A Japanese company has created a small device that allows Nintendo Switch controllers to work with PlayStation 4. The 'Super Converter', which will only be purchasable from Japan, plugs into your PS4 via USB and can convert the wireless signals from Nintendo's Joy-Cons or the Switch Pro Controller.
It also works the other way around, too; you can use the converter to allow your DualShock 4 PS4 pad to speak to your Switch. Compatibility even goes as far back as Wii and Wii U controllers, so if you really wanted to, you could play Horizon: Zero Dawn with a Wii remote. Good luck with that one.
In all seriousness, this is quite a nifty device. This particular example launches in Japan this summer, but similar converters are already available from the likes of 8BitDo and Brook. So, if you feel like swapping controllers, it seems you have a few options. What do you think of this functionality? Would this be something you'd use? Switch things up in the comments below.

Interesting. The Switch Pro Controller is honestly the best one I've used. Comfortable and sturdy. Wouldn't mind trying this.
Neat device for anyone that prefers the Pro Controller.
Since I have big, basketball palming hands, the DS4 is perfect for my hands.
@GADG3Tx87 indeed! I used to love and cherish the DS4 (a really great controller, battery life aside), but now that I’ve got the Switch Pro I can’t honestly go back to any other controller. It’s THAT good.
Mind you that I’m firmly in the “symmetric sticks camp”, and I still find it the best and most comfortable controller I’ve ever held.
As someone who has both consoles, this is amazing. It’s like an extra controller for each one lol, or if my Switch Pro battery dies then I can just swap to my DS4. Really neat idea.
@GADG3Tx87 its ok but the triggers seem to be digital not analogue so for some games they might not work very well
Interesting. I’ve grown so fond of the switch pro controller I prefer it to the DS4 these days. Would be good to use with all the lovely Sony exclusives...
@munkondi I think so!
I already use my PS4 controller for switch. Not gonna get a switch pro controller...
@Quintumply Since one of the regulars on this site already told me I'll tell you, no : in HZD.
Also funny b/c I saw a Twitter post about the title this morning.
Personally I think it should, and it's always written like it should, but it's apparently more like "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot" than "Title: description".
That gap on the trigger buttons is awful on Dualshock. It's much better on the Switch Pro Controller.
Yay now PS4 gamers can finally experience the suffering of the drifting control stick on them joycons. Feel the pain of Switch users on your PS4.
Looks cool. I might grab this if it uses the gyro. Play Eda with my DS4. Yes please.
I wonder if it's possible to play through Persona 5 with a Wiimote + Nunchuk...
How much does it cost? It'll make a Switch more attractive to me if I could use my DS4 and not spend on a pro controller
Well more for all of us that have PS4 controllers for the past 7 years.
Use the Switch mostly as a handheld. So not buying an extra controller for it. This could solve the problem if cheap enough.
Joycons are just painful to use in the controller clip. Way to small.
I'd love to use my DS4 controller on Switch!
Would love to use pro controller on my ps4, will defo keep an eye out!! Battery life is unbelievably better
The Switch Pro controller is surprisingly comfortable, I'd rather play with one
This is awesome for multiplayer. I only have two PS4 controllers, one Switch pro controller and the joycons. With this I can do 4 players on each console
@JoeBlogs yes, that and the lack of headphone jack are the only downsides it has.
Everything else, though, is of the highest quality imaginable.
I’ve had and used a lot of controllers in my life, but never have I found a pad so comfortable; it’s so good I started playing docked mode twice as frequently just to use it!
