Final Fantasy VII Remake PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Final Fantasy VII Remake was only announced three years ago, but there was good news for fans at E3 2018: the game is actually in development. And chatting with Weekly Famitsu – with translations via Gematsu – director Tetsuya Nomura has revealed that development is “moving along more than expected”. They’ve finished modelling the handle of Cloud’s famous Buster Sword, then.

Those of you who have been following this project closely will know that Square Enix recently took control of the project, but it had decided on the long-awaited remake’s direction prior to making that decision. “While preserving the atmosphere of the original, the scenario will dig deeper into the characters, including members of Avalanche,” Nomura said.

See you in approximately eight years.
