We already know one of April 2017's free PlayStation Plus games: it's David Jaffe's notebook-based shooter Drawn to Death. But we're expecting Sony to announce the remainder of April's offering later this week, and that begs the question: what do you want?
There are a smattering of new titles due out on 4th April β when the free games will be made available β but the likes of LEGO City Undercover and PaRappa the Rapper Remastered seem unlikely with Drawn to Death already part of the roster.
We're expecting Sony to dip into its archives for PS4's other flagship free game, then, and the same is likely to be true of the PlayStation 3 and Vita games. But what is it you're hoping for next month? Is there anything in particular you've got your eye on?

Well Sony are having all their exclusives on sale and I think Knack was absent... hmmmm
@adf86 HMMMM!
I'd be happy with Killzone tbh. I played it when the PS4 launched but not since. I've been holding off buying it again in the hope it'd be on plus one month!
@adf86 Knack is under Β£5 in the latest sale, I still wouldnt be surprised if it pops up for free though
Who even wants knack its not so great and its cheap.
Let me say it:
Gravity rush remastered and nothing else
@adf86 knack was there about a week back.
@adf86 Knack was on there, i saw it
GTA 5 for PS4, Assassin's Creed Rogue for PS3, Atelier Escha&Logy for Vita
TLoU Remastered
I just want some free time to play the games I've bought, maybe show PSVR a little love too
I'll just be happy if it's something I don't already own.
FIFA 2015
Nice reminder to get DiscJam π
Honestly, Im thoroughly enjoying Mass Effect and have no interest in Drawn to Death.
Maybe something completely different this way comes?
Uh... I've got too many games to play already. How about just withholding the April games and giving a free month?
My bad, missed Knack in the sale.
I'm never sure how realistic to be in these posts. I want to just say Horizon, but is Salt and Sanctuary even realistic? How about Project CARS? Who knows? It's just a guessing game based on the type of games they've given before.
Destiny 2 and Shenmue 3
What is everyone's fascination with Knack for free? I can't understand it, it's an ok game but honestly if you want to play it that bad it's pretty cheap now.
Not that I need anymore games so won't mind what we get but would be very happy if it was Lego Force Awakens or Pacman Championship Edition 2
Anything that's not a platformer/puzzle game
How about making one of the choices replaced by a free film rental!! I've got too many games lol.
For PS4 the Handsome Jack Collection, Far Cry 4, Red Faction, Watch Dog 1. Just one of those 4 would be nice and a game i would actually download and play.
I'm hoping that maybe one of the Atelier games will be available as a free PS3 offering! :3
I reckon the ps4 offering is going to be something nobody wants. They're pushing Drawn Together too hard for it to be overshadowed. Vita and ps3 games will just be old or terrible. They're not even trying now. To be honest I don't really bother with the free games now.
Just bought Infamous Second Son so wouldn't be surprised if that's one! Not overly bothered but it will be the third time I have bought a game in a sale only to have it given for free a week later!!!
@Tasuki Yeah, I don't understand these people who would prefer a mediocre AAA game to a high-quality indie. Especially when, as you pointed out, some of these mediocre AAA games are practically being sold for beans at this point.
Knack? XD No, jokes aside. If Sony decides to follow the pattern of the last two months, it may well be "a notable indie and an early PS4 AAA first-party" again. It would also justified to expect genre variety by now, so while not exactly MOBAs, The Order 1886 or Killzone Shadowfall would seem unlikely.
I've felt quite spoiled lately with the offerings like Tearaway Unfolded, LBP3 and Severed (and that's not counting the diamonds I didn't know about - Stories is still one of my faves on the platform). So what else would I want? Well, March giveaway of PS3-exclusive Under Night left me wishing for some animesque 2D fighting game in the range of my access, too. Vita or PS4 - the former would allow me to play more, but the latter would be another local multiplayer title for me and my bestie (no, I don't plan to invest in NS Street Fighter anytime soon). JRPGs are always as welcome... as they're unlikely - what there is seems to sell well enough as it is. But then again, there are always PS1/PS2/PSP titles to turn back to.
@Flaming_Kaiser well, then that would the point - getting it even cheaper. XD
Frankly, from what I've seen, it looks entertaining and imaginative enough. "It's not so great"? Well, whatever you define as greatness wouldn't be one if it was commonplace. XD With many games, it suffices to be fun.
@artemisthemp man, jokes aside, you have struck a wishing bone with me - there are quite a few Atelier games on Vita indeed! And just when I commented on the low likelihood of JRPGs in PS Plus, my wishful thinking is betraying me again now. XD
@Mahe no sell. Sony naturally wants this month's new PlayStation owners to subscribe as well, and they would likely feel miffed if it turned out this is the one month in years without IGC offerings.
Since Dtd will be there big one a weak indie will probably be attached. Wishful thinking they would offer Terraria.
@nhSnork Yeah, I'm joking of course. Who knows, maybe there'll be a great game in April that I'll have time to play in May!
I'd go for a great PS2 classic even, but other than that, as I own many of the first-party titles that are already out, I'll go for one that I don't own...even though I doubt it will get added...The Last Guardian. There, I've said it. Other than that, the only other one I could think of would be Gravity Rush HD, unless they go with a 3rd party title, in which case, let the games commence!!!
I really think it's time for a revamp of PSPlus. The 6 titles across 3 platforms (two of which are close to technical /commercial obsolescence - but still close to my heart!) doesn't make sense anymore.
I would like to see them give you guys Toren. It was a quick game 7-8 hours (I believe) with unique graphics and a neat story. And Since Ive already beat it I can work on something else in my backlog. Although even though its a solid game its not AAA...
@JLPick if they go that route give me Dark Cloud or Dark Cloud2 loved those games.
Shadow of mordor would be cool, bloodborne is probably wishful thinking. Night in the woods or inside but prob gonna buy night in the woods next week anyway. Actually probably not cos persona 5...
@Ralizah High quality indie games just like mediocre AAA games are not for everyone. No game is for everyone. I and many others are tired of all the indies we've been getting for years now and we have enough "quality" indies to play anyway.
As for Knack. I played it and loved it. I hope it's a plus game soon. More people need to get the chance to play it and see for themselves if they like it. Something tells me they have dozens of indie games in their backlog. So another one won't make much of a difference.
@Elodin I absolutely love Terraria. Played it a ton on Vita. Need to get back into it, that game has so much content. That would be a great ps plus game, but I think it may be in a sale right now or just was so probably not this month. π
@Wesker As far as I understand it, you can be as imaginative as you like in these articles - it's "Which PS Plus games do you WANT" after all!
I personally would like Gravity Rush 2 and Rain World, but that's 100% not happening
Edit: They've not done a vote for a long time. I wonder when the next one will be?
Abzu, Axiom Verge or Trackmania Turbo would excite me.
@ellsworth004 Terraria was on sale recently, I just have a backlog to get to and or finish, but free that I can deal with.
I want Gravity Rush Remastered
@ellsworth004
Agreed, & i'd like to see Starbound come to PS4.
On-topic: another Telltale title perhaps?
@Tasuki
I always assumed it was a running joke.
pretty sure trackmania turbo was ps+ around this time last year
Drawn to Death looks really nice, but we will get 3 or 4 thrash indies as complements.
