Tony Hawk may have bailed during much of the PlayStation 3 era, but he's back on his board and pimping a brand new game for the PlayStation 4. The pro skater put in a surprise appearance during Sony's big CES keynote overnight, announcing that a new game bearing his name will launch on the Japanese giant's next-gen machine later this year.
There was no word on the release being exclusive, but seeing as it was officially revealed on the PlayStation maker's stage, it's not unreasonable to assume that the firm may have secured marketing rights for the release like Destiny. All that the Birdman would say is that the title's further along than expected. We sincerely hope that Activision's licensed some Goldfinger songs...

If it's a new THPS or THUG or anything along those lines then I will get this day 1

All those hours spent combo dueling with numptys sporting luminous clothing & hair for their online characters on THPS4 online on Ps2...good times. I doubt we'll get a decent homage to the old school Hawk games though as it'll probably turn out like Skate (Not bad, but its no THPS2 now is it)

Stoked! i grew up on these games, jamming to the awesome sound tracks and shredding random stages. I still remember the excitement of TH underground. and skating as Spiderman in thps2. hopefully they do this game right.
AH the Tony Hawk games bring back such memories for me. I am not a big skater fan heck I don't even know the difference between a 180 and a nose grind but I ended up getting hooked on these games back in the PS2 era. Heck THPS 3 was my first PS2 game I owned when I got my PS2 one Christmas. Will surely look into this game.

If this is a new THPS game and not some ftp endless runner monstrosity then that's my day made. To this day, American Wasteland was the only game I've played obsessively online.
Loved THPS back in the day . If it's more along the first 3 (there was more than 3 right ?) I'll definatly get hype again
I'm happy to hear this. I honestly haven't played alot of Tony Hawk games, with Underground 2 and Project 8 on PS2 being the only games, I still enjoyed them and hopefully the series gets a true return to form on PS4.
There was a time I'd have been super hyped about this, sadly the recent games were such trash that that is no longer the case. I hope the game turns out to be awesome but my expectations are very, very, very low.
THPS was my jam back then, so glad it's coming back on PS4.
