The Elder Scrolls Online's console appearance is pretty much the stuff of myth and legend at this point, but given that it's now 2015, we reckon news of its current state must be on the way.
Word from the Gods may come sooner than we thought, though, because the MMO has been spotted on the Microsoft Store, complete with a release date of 24th February. The listing has since been removed, but because of the publisher's recent silence regarding the title, the timing seems about right. Of course, for all we know, the project has been cast into Oblivion – but it's worth staying positive, right?

They don't allow purchases of anything more than 3 month subs now, free to play is on the horizon.
@sonicmeerkat Good!
From what I have heard console fans aren't really missing anything when it comes to this game. I would rather just have another single player Elder Scrolls myself.
I just want fallout
@Splat I've no interest in multiplayer Elder Scrolls either...I'd sell the souls of everyone I know for a new single player ES or Fall out 4 tho.
This game is meant to be poor anyway...I'll keep waiting for the next single player Elder Scrolls or Fallout 4. Until then ill continue to savour Dragon Age: Inquisition and hopefully The Witcher when it comes out.
Admittedly since I'm hugely antisocial and hate multiplayer even if the Elder Scrolls online was rated as amazing I'd still not play it.
Not interested would rather have elder scrolls 6
@Munkyknuts I'm loving dragon age, 20 hours played and hardly done anything! I just get lost strolling around! Haha
@Mrskinner I'm 54 hours in and honestly I've no idea how far through the whole game I am. I've done as much as I can in every area I visit and take plenty of time exploring....I took on my 1st dragon yesterday, it was amazing. It's a truly epic game that I'll need to play at least once more so I can make different choices including picking a different class from my human Rogue/archer goody goody nice guy.
@Munkyknuts well I put 15 hours in as a warrior before I had a clue what I was doing, hated my character and started again with a Mage. I'm going knight enchanter route haha. Seriously most involving game for a long time. And oh yeah, I strolled in on the dragon in the hinterlands at level 7 not knowing where I was. Soon was dead lol
Not bothered, and what I've heard it isn't that good any ways, it's probably best of the game gets canned.
@Mrskinner yeah I tried a Qunari warrior and an Elven knife wielding Rogue before I went with an archer.
My 1st dragon encounter was in the Hinterlands as well...went from 'ooooh a dragon! That's amazing!' To 'aaaargh sh*t a flock of baby dragons and a really angry dragon!' And all my party being ash stains very quickly. I stayed away from going near them again until I was level 12-13.
(Looks at the calendar to see if it's April 1st sees it's not. Laughs)
@Munkyknuts I thought exact the same thing when I noticed the dragonlings, that is until they charged me and killed me off! Haha
FINALLY! People don't listen to those who say this game is crap. It is not. Give it a chance, watch some let's plays or find a friend who has it. It's the better Elder Scrolls game to me and holds its own really well compared to recent MMOs. If you're into roleplaying and like a dark medieval world, this is for you. I'll get it in an instant (and hopefully can bring my PC-characters over just as promised).
@Scollurio
agreed, i played a month or so before by pc crashed and it was pretty great.
I always felt that the one thing Skyrim was missing was an online mode.
I will gladly pour my soul into ESO while i wait for the next ES installment.
Not interested in having to pay more a month to play a Game, plus having to pay £40+ for the game in the 1st place is a joke, got plenty of games to play as it is, pre ordered "Dying light" the other day and brought Assassins Creed: Black Flag super cheap. (Never played assassins creed game ever, so thought I'd have a pop, only cost £10) but saying all this... If it was free to play I'd pre order this too, pity that.
I will wait for the game to be free to download then I will subscribe monthly. To ask consumers to pay a full $60 then expect a monthly fee, I find it ridiculous.
"Of course, for all we know, the project has been cast into Oblivion", genius @shogunrok!
As for this, Im on the fence.
Im all for MMOing ES but if Im in a quest and someone joins whos done it, breezes through it and I miss half the stuff, Ill be less than amused well say.
Have completely lost interest. Might try if free to play, but even then I doubt it at this point.
I'm still pretty excited for this game, the silence though is not good.
@Mrskinner @Munkyknuts it took me 200 hours to complete on easy but I had a very casual play through completed 99% of side missions and explored every corner, well worth it though.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I think I will easily sink as much time into it. I'm playing casual as I want to immerse into the world. Amazing game so far
Yeah, not paying £40-50 for the game then paying monthly subs no matter how good or bad it is.
Got FF14:ARR for £4 on ps3 and then a free upgrade to ps4, so im good on MMO's at the min
@Splat
Exactly. I forgot this game was even coming to consoles at this point. And like you said, it sounds like we aren't missing much.
Just give us Elder Scrolls VI already. After beating Morrowind, Oblivion, & Skyrim, I am ready for more single player RPG awesomeness.
I might try it once it gets F2P but until then, meh!
