Fez Is Finally Coming to Other Platforms in 2013
Posted by Sammy Barker
And the world goes 'round
Polytron’s curious puzzle platformer Fez has been scooping up game of the year nominations like they’re going out of fashion recently – but the adventure remains restricted to the Xbox 360. That’s about to change, however, if a blog post from designer Phil Fish is to be believed.
“Fez will finally be ported to other platforms,” the outspoken developer teased. “Yes, I’ve heard you, dozens of people emailing me everyday telling me how much of an idiot I am for not porting Fez to everything.” Presumably, the PlayStation 3 will be one of the systems on Fish's list.
Fez's intelligent puzzles and throwback presentation earned it a slew of positive reviews when it released last year. Personally, we’re eager to see what all of the fuss is about.

This is the same phil fish that told someone to suck his you-know-what for talking crap about japan games and bragging about his game awards. Why should I support scumbags like him? Also why is it always the PS3 fanboys/owners that want everything from the 360? The PSN already have enough games or are they not satisfied?

@MorriganFan Who doesn't want more great games on their platform of choice? I'm sure plenty of Xbox 360 owners would love to play Journey too — difference is Sony nurtured that property, rather than paid for timed exclusivity.
EDIT: Yes, it is the same Phil Fish.

I don't care if this games come for ps3 BUT what I do want is that it releases on psvita! Looks like a nice game to be played on a handheld.

I want this type of game on psn simply because it's a good game worth playing.

I don't own a 360 yet so I'm hoping to see it on PSN.

Phil Fish has a controversial history with the media, but he's not all bad. "Watch Indie Game: The Movie" and tell me you don't feel sorry for him at times. If you can, you're completely heartless.
Anyway, I want to play this game, so I'm happy to hear it's coming to other platforms. That said, the original game got pushed back A LOT, so I see no point getting excited as though it were coming SOON.
@sammy: Fish has pointed out before that he wasn't paid to release Fez exclusively on 360. I'm not saying that NEVER happens (it does), but sometimes a small indie developer simply can't afford to push his product onto multiple consoles at once, and XLBA is an unfortunately common choice for them.

@Stuffgamer1 That's fair enough. In that case, I'm glad he's (probably) bringing it to PSN now because by all account it's an excellent game.

Even if this doesn't come to PSN, I'll just get it on Steam.

I'm looking forward to this game! And to anyone who hasn't checked out "Indie Game: The Movie" you really should - it's excellent.
I agree with everything you said.

Yes, anyone that has Netflix or any other way to watch it should check out Indie Game The Movie.

I'd like to see the game released for the handheld systems. I'd get the 3DS version if it happens as the game seems to be designed almost perfectly for that system but a Vita version would be great as well.

@Gamer83 Oh yeah, 3DS!
As Samuel L. Jackson said as Jedi Master Mace Windu in George Lucas' movie Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones, "I agree.".
If it came out for 3DS I'd definitely buy that version too.
