Amazon France Outs Ratchet & Clank HD Collection

Well despite my constant bellyaching about the lack of BC allowing Sony to make a boatload of money at it's loyal customers expense, this is probably the series that makes the most sense to have an HD compilation, if only b/c there are 3 good games - nobody would expect the 4th to be included. There are also limited cut scenes to worry about, and at least the 2nd game had multiplayer which would probably get a lot more use online this time around. And you know the trophy hoarders would love this. I honestly can't think of a better set of games now that Sly, Jak and the Ico collection are out and DMC and ZoE are coming. Nope, drawing a blank.

Would I buy it? Yes, on clearance, someday, but not for myself, my youngest son would love this.

Why does it matter if there are newer and better entries in the series? The original games are still great. It's silly to think that no one would go back to earlier games because they've been 'spoiled' with the newer ones.

This makes perfect sense to me. I would love to play them all in HD... And new comers definitely need to check out the originals.... And the story was fantastic

Yessss! I was bummed out when Insomniac said they had no plans to work on a R&C HD collection. I've never owned a PS2 so these HD collections are a great way for me to catch up on some good classics. The R&C games are at the top of my HD collection wish list so this is great news!

@rjejr - They better include the fourth game.

Anyways, I'll actually get this one, just because I want an excuse to play these games over again. I might pick up the J&D and Sly Collections at some point too, but they wouldn't be top priority.

And I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that this was how the J&D collection got known, and that turned out to be true. I guess it just didn't need saying, huh?

This comes as no surprise to me. After releasing the Jak & Daxter HD collection, it was only a matter of time before they did a Ratchet & Clank one. I'm still hoping for a Hitman HD collection though.

C'mon, man, good games don't make other good games irrelevent. That's crazy talk.

I see they've already taken the listing down. No matter...they've already accidentally revealed SEVERAL games in the past including the Ico/Colossus pack and the Jak collection, so I have no reason to doubt this is coming. About time, too. This has been on the top of my wish list since the HD collection thing started.

Hopefully, it'll include all four games, but I doubt it. A good alternative would be to have TWO collections...one with R&C, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal, the second with Deadlocked, Size Matters, and Secret Agent Clank. Then we can play the whole series on PS3!
