@Kidfried I had to chuckle when I saw that your first game was a bootleg Mario game. My memory is vague, but the earliest video game I can remember is playing Mario on PC, which I presume had to be pirated in some form. My parents got their first PC, a Windows 95, it was sat in the attic, and on it was a Mario game. I played it a lot, that's all I remember. Although I remember dying a lot too. I don't think I ever got far into it.
But looking at your list; Super Mario World, Pikmin, Gravity Rush, Journey, the Team ICO games, there's a lot I agree with!
I remember you had MGSV in your top 5 best PS4 games, and seeing how MGS3 is your favourite game of all time, I have to try those games out some time. The MSGV Definitive Edition is dirt cheap these days, I'll add it to my list of games to play this year!
@Kidfried I'm not entirely sure, but it looks familiar! Especially those waterfalls, I remember them, but I can't think of any other Mario game that had waterfalls like that.
I suppose I could find a copy of MGS1. There's a remake on the GameCube, right?
@kyleforrester87 I don't own a PS1. And I can't remember any of my friends with a PS1 owned MGS1. Had I been aware of its existence, I could've played it on PC I guess, since I played a lot of PC in the 90s and early 00s.
I thank you in not quoting rules at me whenever you disagree with a rule. You might be a mod over at NL but it cares no weight here. Wolfenstein The New Order. I'm German so I can really appreciate the voice acting. It's not generic German, but they had a really good mixture of different dialects and accents in that game. I really appreciate the little nuances in that game.

1 – Very first video game
Sonic 2. It came bundled with the Mega Drive that I got for Christmas, must have been 1992 or 1993.

Whoever wins the Push Square tournament. They will have earned my love and respect.

Time Slip, it was one of those Net Yaroze games back on the PS1 that used to get bundled onto the demo discs. It involved a lot of snails.
4 – Your guilty pleasure game.
Singstar, without a doubt. I hardly even feel guilty about it, in fact I'm considering hiring a vocal coach in the run-up to the next family gathering.
5 – Game character you feel you are most like (or wish you were).
Both Suikoden characters. Aspire to Gremio, but am more like Viktor.
6 – Most annoying character.
Moira from Fallout 3, my god, never has an NPC got me killed so many times. But I still love her.
7 – Favorite game couple.
Abigail and John Marston.
8 – Best soundtrack.
Grand Theft Auto 3.
9 – Saddest game scene.
The ending I got on Silent Hill 2 was pretty bleak. I wasn't great at the game though, so it may not have been the 'proper' ending. Hell, for all I know the canonical ending could involve lots of laughter, a musical number and a break-dancing Pyramid Head.
10 – Best gameplay.
Micro Machines 2.
11 – Gaming system of choice.
This is a strangely-worded question. Does it mean ever? Or at the moment? Currently, I tend to play all my games on PS4, but those old Mega Drive cartridges are a bugger to get in the disc tray.

We Love Katamari.

Sonics 1-& Knuckles, Suikoden 1 & 2, Streets of Rage II. These are the only ones I can think of.

Until Mania came along, I was starting to seriously sympathise with Dr Robotnik.

Ryo Hazuki. Although this is mainly because in my version of Shenmue, he did nothing except go to the arcade and play Space Harrier all day before spending his wages on toy dispensers.

Good question. I don't know. At the risk of sounding like one of those people who reply the same way when you ask them what their favourite type of music is... "I like everything".

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, but it did pick up towards the end.

I'm a big fan of Dark Souls' whole vibe. And Bloodborne too.

Once upon a time I would have said Konami, back when they were churning out absolute corkers like MGS 1, Symphony of the Night, Suikoden and Vandal Hearts at a rate of about one-a-minute on the PS1. That feels like a long time ago now though, so let's say Naughty Dog. Of course in 20 years they'll probably be reduced to peddling erotic pachinko machines featuring Nathan Drake in nothing more than a studded g-string. Actually...

@Kidfried Thanks - I seriously love the Rapture soundtrack. I was caught abroad last year for work and got poorly and I just listened to it in the background as I tried to chill out and get better.
