A.) Shadow of the Colossus
B.) God of War
C.) Days Gone
D.) Detroit: Become Human
E.) The Last of Us: Part II
F.) Spiderman
G) Death Stranding
H.) Ghost of Tsushima

Me personally, I think The Last of Us: Part II will sell the best
P.S: Sorry, forgot to put Ghost of Tsushima, so I edit it.
P.S.S: Again my bad, I didn't know Spyro was made by Activsion. I re-edit the post.

My first bet is The Last of Us 2, my second bet is God of War.

PS: Spyro will not be an exclusive, just saying...

@Slasher Spyro is not a first party game it's third party done by Activision. For it to be a first party game Sony had to make it.

@PS_Nation Do you think The Last of Us: Part II will outsell the first, because I personally think it will.
P.S: Even though I said that The Last of Us: Part II will sell the most, I have this suspicion that Spiderman will be a knockout success saleswise .

1)The Last of Us: Part II, 10million+
2)Spider-Man, 7million+
3)God of War, 6million+

I think Uncharted 4 will go down as the best selling PS exclusive of this gen. It must be sitting pretty comfortably at 10million+ sales already. I think the lightheartedness of Uncharted 4 make it an easier pick up for the more casual consumer than TLOU2.
I do think TLOU2 outsells Horizon which will probably do 10million+ lifetime as well.
Spider-Man will do great.
God of War is more of an unknown quantity. The previous games typically did 4-4.5 million lifetime, but it feels like there's added interest this time around. However, some of the old fans have become disillusioned with the change in gameplay. Initially I thought it would easily outsell Horizon, but that was before we got the updated Horizon numbers (7.6mil in 1 year). I struggle to think God of War is going to do anywhere near that.

@Slasher That’s a good question. TLoU 2 appears to be a safe bet, but Spiderman could be the highest selling if they time it right.

@Slasher PS4 has a huge fanbase and The Last of Us now is already an established series, it really has the potential to sell even more than the first game. Although, the first game is available on PS3 and PS4, the remastered version sold really well and many people like me bought the game twice.

I think it'll be Spider-Man. Safe bet, I know. It has that franchise power, and if Sony get behind marketing it, it'll be a smash.

God of War could be my next guess. It was kinda PlayStation's big series before Uncharted came around, and I know plenty of people who hold the series in high regard when it comes to PlayStation franchises.

The obvious answer is The Last of Us Part II. The first game sold really well despite coming out mere months before the PS4 and the remaster that happened the following year sold about the same.

I think God of War will do good as well. Maybe not as good as Horizon, since it's not open world. But Uncharted 4 sold really well to, so it's not impossible for a linear game to do well.

I find it difficult to say how well Spider-Man will do. I think a few million for sure, but I have no idea how popular he is.

Shadow of the Colossus and Detroit: Become Human are little bit more niche games. They'll find their audience, sell at least a million, but I definitely put them at the bottom of the list.

Days Gone, well, it depends on what they're doing with that game, but I can't see it becoming the best selling PS4 exclusive of the bunch. Some are speculating they're delaying the game for a battle royal mode. Who knows how popular that will be a year from now and it that will boost sales. And Ghost of Tsushima? I think it will do well, but samurais aren't as popular as guns unfortunately.

The Last of Us beat Uncharted 2 and 3 on PS3 and, until H:ZD was the 2nd biggest selling exclusive on PS4 behind Uncharted 4. I can see that beating the others. Spider-Man could well be 2nd - mostly because of how iconic the character is but there have been murmurings of discontent - mostly around those QTE's they showed but we will see when it launches. God of War seems to have attracted a more mainstream audience but whether the old guard are willing to give it go or not - who knows. Days Gone seems to have a lot who are still of the mindset that this game is a rip-off of the Last of Us - rather than looking at what the game is actually offering - seeing Deacon as Joel, the Freakers as the Infected and putting these together to conclude this is a Last of Us 'wannabe'. This blinkered view could hit sales - although maybe could be a grower as they open their eyes...

I think its too early to comment on Ghosts or Death Stranding - both have yet to show any real game-play and both could be very successful but whether they will challenge the Last of Us 2 or not, could depend on the game-play/story etc. Death Stranding looks visually good in the trailers (if it looks that good in game-play or not, time will tell) but it could be too 'odd' (for want of a better word) to sell to the mainstream. There will be people buying it because its 'Kojima' but whether it has the game/story to sell to the mainstream - its too early to tell. Ghosts has potential but to beat Last of Us 2, it will have to be something special and have mass appeal.

I do think that games like SotC and Detroit are quite Niche. Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls weren't massive sellers - enough to be successful but I doubt Detroit will be any different.

I doubt it will make a big difference but quite a few of these have appeared to be visually downgraded over their reveals. Whether its a supposed 'change of Lighting' (God of War), Artistic Direction (Spider-Man) or whatever reason QD are saying about Detroit, I don't think it will make to much difference sales wise but could affect a few people on the fence in combination with other issues they may have - like change of direction (GoW), QTE's (SM), Pacing (DBH) etc..

Of these 8, 5 are certainly definite purchases for me - God of War, Spider-Man, Days Gone, Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. Death Stranding is a could be purchased but not enough information for me yet but the other two are definite no-no's.

I think God of War will surprise a few people, but yeah Last Of Us Part 2 will most likely be the best seller.

The Last of Us Part 2 easily. It's predecessor sold about 7 million on PS3 and Uncharted 4 sold 10 million plus so Naughty Dog's games are huge blockbusters now. Spiderman could go a long way but I think it'll need a combination of a quiet rdlease window, good reviews and huge marketing to comfortably get it past 5 million.

Incidentally, are we referring to just PS4 sales? Of course the PS5 could be a while off - even a Nov 2019 release may mean a number of these don't release on that Platform and, if it has Backwards Compatibility, may mean some don't get the 'remaster' treatment - like Last of Us did for example.

If a game like God of War (as its releasing next month) only releases on PS4 but Last of Us 2, Death Stranding and/or Ghost of Tsushima get released on both PS4 and PS5 (either dual release or as a remaster on PS5), are you only looking at PS4 sales or potential combined sales? With rumours of PS5 dev kits in the hands of some third party devs (so first party devs must have one - if true), it could change the order. If, for example, you only count PS4, maybe a game like the Last of Us 2 won't be the 'best' as people buy a PS5 to buy and play it - I know I would - especially if it offered 60fps. If combined, that also affects 'sales' numbers as some will buy twice (like I did with Last of Us) - which has a combined sales higher than U4.

Maybe I am over-complicating this but as we seem to be approaching that cross over phase, a time when two generations could co-exist, that can throw 'sales' figures as some games may get bought twice - thus boosting the sales numbers. Spider-Man may sell more than Last of Us 2 on PS4 because people buy a PS5 to play it (maybe and if it gets a 'dual' release like Zelda:BOTW - depending on release of both game and console). Maybe Ghost of Tsushima becomes a 'launch game' for PS5 and doesn't release on PS4 so doesn't sell any on PS4. Maybe Days Gone sells most because it gets a 'remaster' on PS5 with full 60fps so a lot of people buy it twice.

@BAMozzy I feel none of these games will be full cross-over games. Though I agree that a Remastered edition of TLOU2 on the PS5 is a very safe bet. Just a very easy way to reel in people that missed out on PS4 this generation.

If a Spider-Man movie came out this year, then Spidey might have a shot. But it's not, so... TLOU2. Also, I think Ghosts has the potential to become a Horizon-type success. But it's way too early to say.

Which one do you reckon will sell the worst? I fear Days Gone, even though I'm quite on board for that game myself.

Kidfried

Octane

@Kidfried Detroit will be a tough sell. I've heard SOTC did well, but I can't imagine it will sell better than Days Gone.

Octane

BAMozzy

@Kidfried I think Shadow of the Colossus or Detroit will be the worst selling. SotC sold just over 1m on PS2 and the ICO collection sold around 1.34m so I doubt the PS4 version will sell more than 2m and Quantic Dreams games aren't that big sellers and can be very niche. Those that like them, love them but don't have mainstream appeal. When games like Bloodborne, Infamous and Killzone sells around 3m - even MGSv sold around 3m on PS4 which is more than RE7, R&C, Doom, Wolfenstein, Rise of the Tomb Raider etc, it does seem that these two in particular could be the lowest selling of the lot.

Days Gone could do very well but I do think it will be a grower as more and more people who dismissed it get to see reviews and word of mouth spreads. I still don't know if it will match H:ZD because its 'zombies' and doesn't have Robot Dinosaurs or a charismatic (and attractive) lead character but time will tell.

As for 'cross over' games - its difficult to assess what could happen. It may depend on Sony's BC Stance and whether or not games will get enhanced on the next gen. If games do get patched, that could see a resurgence in sales but maybe not as many sales as a remaster might. It could depend on whether games get a dual launch too (like Zelda:BOTW) as some may decide to buy a PS5 to play these whilst others may end buying it twice when they do decide to upgrade. Then there is which games (if any) get remastered or end up only releasing on next gen - which can boost sales if there isn't many games around to play on it. Too many variables and unknowns at this point though...

probably Spiderman to be honest because it has the brand power of Marvel behind it as well as the upcoming Avengers movie that also has Spiderman in it

Spiderman, for sure. We haven't had a good Spidey game since Spider-Man 2 on the PS2 and it's a franchise that appeals to many different people. It'll be huge imo.

I’ll say Spider-Man for the reasons mentioned by Sammy above.
