Topic: Transformers Devastation --OT--

So it looks like Platinum Games has struck gold again with this one. Being a child of the 80's I have had my eye on this game for awhile now. After seeing some footage I have to say this is the Transformers game I have been waiting for. The combat reminds me alot of Bayonetta and the graphics are just gorgeous. I usually don't buy games day one but I just might for this one.

Anyone else excited for this one?

i too am excited, any word when PS will have the review up?

I know some places have got review copies already that's how I saw some of the game play. I can't wait for next week.

@Tasuki: I am! Just hoping to see some early reviews up before the game releases as I am a bit worried about the content. So far, I've gathered that theres a story mode and 50 challenge mode missions. I think there are five playable Autobots in total as well.

@WanderingBullet: No problem man. I was a little worried about how the game was going to turn out but after seeing that video, we'll I NEED THAT GAME!!! lol. I trust the reviewers too as they are both big time transformers fans as you could tell by that video.

That has easy turned out to be my most anticipated game this month. In fact I might pass on the Uncharted Collection for that game instead.

@Tasuki: Yea, I was kinda worried as well since the trailers mostly only showed the city as a playable location. Another reason was the $50 pricing which had me concerned about the amount of content. Do you think we'll be replaying the same story mode with all five different Autobots or do you think they'll each have they own sections?

I will be disappointed if this is not in the game somewhere;

@WanderingBullet: From what it looked like each Autobot had his own level basically you play a different Autobot each level. However in the video above it looked like Bumblebee and Optimus were in the same level so maybe you can switch? Hopefully some reviews will say that.

@Tasuki: Depends whether Activision are actually sending out review code or not. I actually didn't realise it was out so soon - this time of year is CRAZY!

Yeah I didn't realize either till I saw that video the other day. But thanks for the answer hopefully you guys get one soon, I would love to hear what you think.

@Tasuki: Someone posted a gameplay footage thats 80 mins long on youtube. I didn't watch it though, to avoid spoilers.

@WanderingBullet: Yeah that's a bit too long for me and as you said I am sure it contains spoilers.

@Tasuki: Based on the trophy list, looks like you can play as any character through all the chapters.

I loved the Cybertron games so I was kind of hoping for another one of those. That said, yeah, it's Transformers so I'm definitely looking forward to this. The combat looks really fun.

I ended up watching a video review from someone who got it early, anddd ended up trading some games for a preorder. Long-story short, seems like it has some decent replay value.

So this came out today?? Anyone played it?
