100 hours in and im on mission 50, ive been going back and S ranking all the previous missions, ive got to mission 44 so far. i love the FOB multiplayer. if you have any S ranked soldiers im going in .

So it looks like there is potentially an extra hidden ending, that nobody has legitimately achieved yet, but where it is speculated that it will only be triggered by EVERY PLAYER IN THE WORLD performing a certain action / working together to achieve something. Absolutely flipping mental. It would be awesome if players actually managed to achieve this!

Konami are staying pretty tight-lipped at the moment though, and have already removed the video someone uploaded (which was found via datamining the game). @SteveButler2210: I was half expecting something like this, lets see how it pans out! Looking forward to playing some more this weekend.

I've only spent 8 hours in the game but I already turned off markers because after Dark Souls and Bloodborne I find HUD very annoying. Do you think it's possible to beat the game without them or will it become soon too difficult?

@kyleforrester87: yeah I'm really intrigued to see where it goes in the long run. And same here, haven't played much this week so looking forward to bashing out a few hours in the mornings over the weekend!

@andreoni79: it's do-able, but you will more often than not end up blowing your stealthy approach and 9 times out of 10 end up in a shootout. To be honest it's totally up to you how you play, so that would still be fine, one of the major benefits of the game. But you will never beat all the "Total Stealth" missions or get all S ranks without using markers!

@Ash_uk1: Well done. I'm 16% through. But its been a pretty fun 24 hours in the game.

@Ash_uk1: Fair play mate, what was your overall time to hit 100%? I'm at around 55% now I think, with 60-65 hours (can't quite remember). Just spent a couple hours farming resources as well as grinding out some cheap heroism points on C2W so that I can start bringing in those S rank staff on a regular basis!

Guessing the 100% you're looking at >100 hours?

Im nearly at the 200 hour mark, i leave the ps4 turned on though to develop the rank 6 weapons and the nuclear weapon; it take 24 hours to make it and about 18 to dispose of it. i only need 2 more trophies for the platinum and both are linked to the nuclear weapon

you get alot of heroism points if you S rank missions and get most of the mission tasks done. i got 10,000 points for S Ranking some missions. I have nearly a million heroism points now.

@Ash_uk1: ah fair enough, yeah I've shied away from doing that so far, as I'd like my play time to largely represent actual play time. But, I will almost definitely do it for the 2 things you mention in your post. I am confident I will plat at some point, as generally speaking the S ranks don't seem as hard as a lot of stuff in earlier MGS games so long as you know what you're doing. The main thing that's going to take a while is just completing all side ops!

Yeah I farmed C2W for heroism points as you can S rank it in under 1:40. You only get 1,600 points as you're not doing extra objectives, but it's so quick and basically impossible to mess up that I find it the most reliable method and therefore quickest over all. Also if you do it playing as staff instead of Snake then you get a distinguished service medal in about 5-6 minutes or so, which can be handy if you have lower rank staff that need boosting.

The main reason I was doing it though was that I gather once you hit around 150k heroism and 60% overall completion the S rank staff start showing up, so I shouldn't have to worry about wasting time farming for staff for the Staff > lvl 50 trophy, as I should find enough S ranks while I'm clearing the rest of the side ops

Just thought i let you guy know that after the new patch it is now possible to get quiet back. you need to play mission 11, 7 times and where is says Replay it will turn to Reunion complete it once more to get quiet back. here are some pictures

@Ash_uk1: How did you manage to get S ranks easily? - ie) rush the mission / go in lethal / best equipment etc.) I have just finished mission 30 today - cant believe its taken me so long.

What does everyone think about 'to be continued' in some of the levels then you are warped to the helicopter? I think its stupid.

@themcnoisy: yeah i think they are completely pointless. a way of making the game seem longer.

S Ranks: time and not using reflex mode are the most important. not killing anyone helps but you can kill some enemy's just dont go overboard with it, same with no alerts too. the system is flexible to some extent; if you do some of the extra missions task ( ones that are not to far out of your way) you might be able to get away with a couple more kills.

i always use none lethal weapons and i usually go for no kills, no alerts and no reflex mode and do some of the extra tasks. but you don`t need to do all of that as long as you do it in good time

the things i use are
weapons:
tranq gun
Stun Arm
silenced tranq sniper
a lethal silenced assault gun

support weapons:
Stun grenades
sleep grenades
active or stun decoys
empty magazine clip
C4
Emp mine
smoke grenades
LLG-mines

items:
cardboard box
phantom cigar

and the highest grade sneaking suit, D-Dog with stun knife equipped and a jeep

@Ash_uk1: Cheers Ash, that's a great help. Hopefully finish mission 31 tonight. Didn't someone on here say not to go any further than level 30 for some reason if you do the side ops?

yeah ive played online it is good but has some balancing issues in cloak and dagger gamemode and lag issues

Its best to read up about the implications of going past certain points in the game. I do not want to say anything else.
