Re: UK Sales Charts: Nothing on PS5, PS4, Can Compete with Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

panzermeister74

Tears Of The Kingdom I knew would sell well at launch, however selling well doesn't make it that great of a game IMO. But Nintendo fanatics will eat up whatever Nintendo shovels out onto the Switch. This game is nothing more than a cut and paste of Breath Of The Wild using the exact same combat mechanics, running over what seems like an endless map to find "X" shrine that's about as boring as watching paint dry on a wall, while breaking numerous weapons over and over again. Not to mention turning every damned thing you do into a puzzle (like the fusion stuff") every time you turn around. Also, the Switch's weak hardware really shows itself a lot in this game. If anything, The Legend Of Zelda has went down hill and the lack of new game mechanics, memorable dungeons (yeah, remember those?" And quests that feel more like a chore to complete, taking the fun out of the game. While there are many who eat Tears Of The Kingdom up as a great game, sorry I cannot. I just don't believe the game over all is all that great, especially for $70+ tax.

Re: Bethesda Apologises to PS5, PS4 Fans 'P*ssed' at Exclusivity

panzermeister74

Doesn't bother me one way or the other really since I play on PC as well. To put it bluntly, Bethesda games really aren't all that great to begin with on consoles. Had it not been from mod creators and the ability to use mods and patches that fix their games, most Bethesda games wouldn't really be worth playing beyond one playthrough. Sure, it sucks I suppose but it's not like PS fans didn't see this coming when MS announced they bought Bethesda.

Re: Mini Review: Metro Exodus (PS5) – A Greatly Improved Version of a Pretty Awesome Game

panzermeister74

Sure, it looks better than the PS4 version, which it should, but I personally seen a good bit of visual buggery in areas that comes off as looking strange when you're close up. Don't know what's causing the weird effect on many walls and some objects. It's actually hard to describe the effect in words. The only thing that really helps the new version is the smooth 60 FPS frame rate. Let's face it, Metro Exodus sucks @30 FPS minus. It's definitely IMO worth a new playthrough since it's a free upgrade from the original.

Re: 505 Games Attempts to Explain Control's PS5 Upgrade Scandal

panzermeister74

I wish for just once developers would just have the balls to just tell it like it is and just say because "we're greedy." In a lot of cases with upgrading these games its as simple as tweaking the settings in the graphics dept and optimizing them to run on whatever platform it's going to be on. They act as if they are building the game from the ground up. This is just the typical behavior of many developers and publishers nowadays to bilk players out of as much money as possible or come up with some sort of exclusive BS from one platform to the next. Not even suprised anymore. I do own the PS4 Pro and XB One S and will be buying the PS5 (for Demon's Souls alone!) But since I have Control on PC, I'll not be buying it again to just play an upgraded version on the PS5.

Re: Talking Point: Will You Be Buying The Last of Us 2?

panzermeister74

Nope. The Last Of Us II's fate was sealed after the leaks, including Naughty Dog's, SONY and Musso's repeated and still continued anti-consumer behavior and abuse of YouTube's DMCA policy levying false copyright strikes on creators channels that have any negative criticisms about the game. I also work part-time in a game store that's privately owned that sells new, used games and consoles and we will not be carrying The Last Of Us II for numerous reasons unless someone orders it. I wasn't really surprised Neil Druckman managed to ruin the story with his personal political views and beliefs, it's what these people do regardless of it killing the over all sales of the games just as long as it receives the right check marks from all the blue haired, blue check mark people. Damn the fans and how dare they, the fans of a particular franchise be upset for ruining a good franchise with politics and forced diversity agendas. Sure, The Last Of Us II will still sell well but nowhere near what they would like it to. This game may very well go down as one of the worst mishandled games in a long time and rightfully so. It was marred from the start allowing Anita Sarkeesian to even step into the studio and spew her feminazi poison and input. The terrible looking characters say much about the creative and political direction that's been forced into the games character design. The plot and story are also laughable as well. Sadly, this is what fans get after the long wait. A sequel loaded with forced SJW politics, beloved characters disrespected in an awful manner to push that so called progressive political agenda and a huge fist to the faces of the TLOU fans. Yes, leaks suck but this is one leak I was glad I seen before handing the rest of my money to Naughty Dog for this mess. I canceled my Pre-order for the collector's edition as I just can't support this game or people like Neil Druckman, along with the shady, underhanded dirty bullying DMCA takedowns they pulled on creators using fair use material on YouTube. Sigh ...maybe one day these activists posing as game developers and writers will finally get it.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Leakers 'Not Affiliated with SIE or Naughty Dog', Sony Confirms

panzermeister74

Everything that's been said about Naughty Dog or reported from respectable games journalists have turned out to be spot on. Neil Druckman is a tyrant to work for, they mistreat and threaten their employees, fire game testers who don't give them the feedback "they want to hear", disagree with certain political agendas being pushed on everyone or forcing developers against their own beliefs and political views and even religion to push those agendas in the game. Anyone can see what kind of company Naughty Dog is and exactly what kind activist filth is calling all the shots after they way they did Amy Hennig, who was the best writer they had. Also any developer who collaborates and pays money to the likes of Anita Sarkeesian, is a developer to keep an eye on and worry about. I guess now it's time to start seeing articles by journalist who are friendly to the cause of clowns like Neil Druckman and Anita Sarkeesian to start damage controlling and deflecting the actual narrative away from what's reality. And once Naughty Dog or Druckman started the typical calling those who don't like what they saw of TLOU 2, bigots and homophobes, (the typical words and accusations they come off with) I was totally done with even buying this game used. Everyone I've talked with about the leaks and characters plus comments from those who also don't like what they saw and hate the story plot, was nothing whatsoever to do with the character's sexuality. We all knew Ellie was gay in the first game, they was sure to let everyone know that fact. People dislike the story and the **** character...which is another story. Doesn't matter really, the way Sony, Naughty Dog and Neil Cuckman have handled this situation with threatening YouTube channels with copyright strikes, calling fans homophobes and bigots, it's going to hurt the sales of The Last Of Us 2. Every game these activist developers have tried to push on everyone and lecture players about certain politics have ended up taking, it's as if developers haven't learned a lesson at all. What should have been one of the biggest releases of 2020, has turned into a complete disaster for all parties involved; Naughty Dog, Sony and most importantly, the TLOU fans. Shame on all of them, including the person who leaked the game. Only positive out of the who situation is I saved $60+ tax by getting my Pre-order money back. I'll play it maybe when they put it on the monthly free games with PS Plus. Now I'm sure, my comment will be deleted because it's what they do when you disagree with their articles and opinions.

Re: The Last of Us 2 Leak Leaves Director 'Heartbroken'

panzermeister74

That leak saved me $60+ thank goodness. They just can't stop shoving personal political agendas up everyone's hind end and it's wrecking franchises. And maybe if Naughty Dog focused more on paying their developers instead of giving money to people like Anita Sarkeesian, this might not happen. This is what happens when you pull this kind of crap and cater to an audience that doesn't even play these games. Good job Neil Drunkman.

Re: PS5 'Superior' to Xbox Series X in a Lot of Ways, But Devs Seem Disappointed by Sony's Communication

panzermeister74

Being primarily a PC gamer nowadays and knowing what is what in terms of hardware specs and power....before I go on, I'll make it clear that I also game on consoles, both current gen and past gen that way no one can say "well, you're a PC gamer" this and that or I'm bashing consoles because that's definitely not it. However, I've gotta say that if Mike Cerney worked for me designing a console to compete with my competitor, I'd fire his ass. I got the impression that SONY isn't really happy with the PS5. Also, they waited an awful long time to come out with the hardware specs of the PS5 with already knowing what the XBOX Series X was all about. Bottom line is, the Series X is more powerful period and no amount of spin is going to change that fact. We're going to see a difference in game performance between the two consoles when it comes to using Ray Tracing tech w/ PS5 GPU @ 10.2 TFLOPs, 30 CUs vs X @ 12 TFLOPs, 50 CUs. For example, its like putting an RTX 2070 up against an RTX 2080 Ti or the RTX 2060 up against the RTX 2080. The specs of the PS5's CPU is the more baffling issue to me though. Why did they not do PS5's CPU like Microsoft did with the Series X? 3.5 GHz? Come on man, that stuff's going to down throttle in some games and cause issues in performance. I'm definitely interested in learning more about the cooling solution they are going to be using. I've got a bad feeling about the PS5.

Re: Uncharted 2, 3, and The Last of Us PS3 Multiplayer Servers Go Offline Tomorrow

panzermeister74

I've tried playing all of these games on the PS4 in multiplayer mode and they are pretty dead as far as player base is concerned. So, I could imagine how dead they are over on the PS3. While I hate to see the servers turned off on the small number of people still playing the online modes of these games, at the same time, coming from a financial point of view can understand as to why it's time for Sony to turn them off. Servers cost money, and very few players are accessing these servers, then there's very little point to keep paying to keep them online.
