I am surprised by the amount of people that have a very strong opinion on asymmetrical stick layout (seems like Xbox people hate symmetrical as well). I would understand a preference, but they both seem comfortable to me.
Now that D-pad though, that looks like a yikes! Sony's d-pad feels so good.
Seems way too high for what it offers, $150 is pretty much the upper end of what I would have considered.
I would like to know if the joystick parts are higher quality (not the thumbpad portion, but the actual components in the controller), because sony uses really cheap joystick components (just like nintendo and microsoft)
For anyone that wants back buttons, I highly recommend looking into the ExtremeRate Rise4 mod. Fairly easy to install, and has been working great for me so far, and was only like $40
These community rated lists seem to cause so much confusion. Every single one I look at has a bunch of comments from people that clearly didn't read the description, and are mad at PushSquare staff for their supposed bad taste.
I haven't played it yet, but I suspect I will like it more than you (I do not have very discerning tastes when it comes to video games). Nevertheless I appreciate the opinion piece.
I am dismayed at the amount of comments that are seemingly misunderstanding the main points in the article, and getting offended by a self identified minority opinion piece.
I don't necessarily agree with the following statement from the article, "The subject matter might be grisly, but as you can see, it's all delivered with a light, comical tone, so it should still be a suitable game for the family to enjoy."
I don't think I am ready to explain to my 6yo what cannibalism is, even if it is colorful.
Thanks for the review. Not really my thing, but thought it might be fun to play with my son. Would have been nice if the article mentioned if there was couch co-op (googled it, and looks like no).
"Will consider adding at a later date"??? I am assuming they will make this decision based on sales, but the sales will be bad since it won't have roll back. (I know some people will still buy it, but I think a large percentage of fighting game players now expect good roll back netcode, I know I do).
I feel like it is tough mixing single player and multi-player experiences on a "game of the year" type list. They really do scratch different kinds of itches, and there are so many people that really only play one or the other.
That being said, I adore this game, think it probably deserves higher, but am content that it is even in the top 10 given that it is a 2d fighting game, which I don't think is very popular these days (at least relative to fps multi player games).
My first GG game, and loving it! It is beautiful and netcode is amazing!
I very much do not like the lobby system (I get they wanted to go for an "in person arcade" feel, but it just doesn't real give that, and makes matchmaking a pain, and slightly abusable).
But I do really like the floors system, the game is doing a good job at matching me against people around my skill level.
The "only" 15 starter roster is a plus for me, as it is less matchups I have to learn right off the bat.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gotham Knights?
I have not played it yet, and probably won't play it until it gets some technical improvements or goes on sale.
I am not above playing a mediocre game, and look forward to playing this someday, but this is undoubtedly not the score spread WB was looking for.
I do hope it does well enough that they get another shot.
Re: Poll: Did You Buy Gotham Knights?
I'm going to wait to see if there are improvements, or for a price drop, but glad to see lot's of people are enjoying it.
Re: Poll: Will You Buy the DualSense Edge PS5 Controller, Now We Have a Price?
I think Sony may discover their console and software demand does not extend to peripherals, but I am curious to see how it sells.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 416
Like most people I will be playing elden ring. But also gt7 when I need a break from being pounded, and it takes two with my son.
Re: Never Stop Moving in Post Void, Out on PS5 and PS4 This Spring
This doesn't look like it is for me, but I can always appreciate seeing new things.

Re: Game of the Year: #8 - Knockout City
Looked interesting, but I don't often get into MP games these days, I don't need that kind of distraction from all of my hobbies 😄.
I appreciate pushsquare sticking to their guns though and putting a game they like on the list, even if it isn't the popular choice.
Re: Hot Wheels Unleashed Passes 1 Million Units Sold
I'm excited to play this with my 6yo son on Christmas Eve!
Re: Game of the Year: #9 - Disco Elysium: The Final Cut
I have not played this yet, but got it on sale recently and am very excited to play it. Glad to see some devs changing things up in the crpg world.
Re: Game of the Year: Stuart's Top 5 PS5, PS4 Games of 2021
Have the Radiohead thing downloaded but haven't tried it yet, but I am looking forward to it. I am avoiding reading anything about it.
Really need to get back and finishing psychonauts so I can play psychonauts 2.

Extremely disappointed that the title is "Crawls back into top 10" instead of "Swings back into top 10"
Re: Random: Guilty Gear Strive Perfume Gives a Whole New Meaning to Smell of the Game
So metal! (I still love the game though!)
