Re: Hands On: Marathon Is Dense, Demanding, and Drop Dead Gorgeous

I appreciate they are going for a unique art style. I would rather a developer take big swings and miss than stick with PS3 grey shooters. It is very reminiscent of the Mirror's Edge DLC.

However, I can't tell a single thing on the screen. I'm reading a novel everytime I look at the screen, there is no setting to make text larger, and if I'm struggling on a 60" tv then it's not viable. I have had to press all 4 face buttons in different contexts to progress a menu, not even considering editing a loadout.

This game was made for mouse and keyboard and does not support a d-pad in the way it should. I've played a couple hours and am just exhausted by the mental load of it. I hope they find their audience, but their UI and visual communication needs serious work to illustrate what is actually happening.

Re: Blizzard Drops Phone Number Requirement As Overwatch 2 Launch Woes Continue

While I'm glad they've retracted it for people who played in the last year, I'm concerned for folks that 1) played before the crossplay June date and 2) never played at all will still be required to provide their number. If they have prepaid, it may still be problematic and bar them from participating.

Hope they continue fixing it, as I was long forward to this game.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Tops 20 Million Copies Sold

Glad they can turn it around. 20 million is still a lot by any measure, but does this figure count extant copies only, or do the ones returned count in this number since they were "sold"?

Edit: I've been informed the returns were only a small percentage, and therefore would not dramatically impact this impressive figure.
