My highly critical friend bought the game, played 10 minutes of it, deleted it, and got a refund back from the PS Store. His reason? The overwhelming bugs and PS3 graphics. Now for me, I place graphics at the bottom of the list when I rate a game-- my rating is based on story strength and overall "fun-ness" as I think it should be. I bought it last week and I've already put 50+ hours into it. I think its a great game. Great, not amazing. I'm patiently waiting for fixes to these bugs, but they aren't ruining my experience. It's nice to see the devs as human. Can't say the same for Bethesda, who consistently make buggy games like this over the course of years and ship it without remorse.
I remember playing Tomb Raider on the PS One and the PC. So why did PS4 players have to wait so long for this game to release on their console? I'm not going to pay Square Enix so they can keep doing this to us. I'm tired of the way businessman--who praise the almighty dollar--are getting in the way of my play time.
I've been challenged to complete God of War 1 and 2, so that'll have my attention for most of the weekend. Dunno how many Destiny fans are still around but I'll also try my hand at the Trials of Osiris with some friends.
Man, Spooke2k...you sound like you need a vacation buddy. Or holiday as the UKers call it. I played a bit of the sparrow racing today and here's an honest assessment of it (coming from someone who still enjoys a bit of Destiny from time to time): it's fun. Losing a race invokes feeling, mostly anger, because you want to do better next time. It is certainly challenging. My one complaint is that currently--there are only 2 maps. I'm hoping they throw a few more at us before this is over. I'm actually hoping the racing league sticks around afterwards, I have been wanting this for a long time. The sparrow is probably one of the funnest vehicles I've ever driven in a video game. So it's got my vote. Give it a try!
