Man, it's kinda sad being in Australia and these posts coming out at 7pm on Saturday, basically halfway through the weekend, but like usual I'm cleaning up my trophy list, probably going to be recording footage from Persona 4 Golden, while finishing Skylanders Superchargers and maybe working more on my Minecraft world
You know what? I'm not going to care anymore, I'll just buy digital games when I need too (mostly for videos unless it's something I really want to play) I don't need a PS6, I have enough games to play right now, not to mention the physical games that are coming out before 2028 and all the physical games that have come out the past decades. Once I've gotten my mojo back I'll petition my local senators for better consumer laws online and anti monopoly lawsuits, not to mention telling anyone who asks not to Playstation. I'm ok with finishing my current backlog before 2028 then switching to a balance of Playstation, Nintendo, and PC. Besides all this, I don't think there's anything else I can do.
@PlayNation5 1. I haven't tried it yet, but that argument hinges on "Can", they haven't given any alternate options yet and if they were going to they'd have shown us already
2. Again, Can. Stop Killing Games is trying to get this passed but it'd still be a while plus Playstation is one of the companies trying to stop the movement.
3. A bit argumentative, but I like having physical for the same reason I like having decorations in the room, it looks really nice having a bunch of items that follow some similarity, same reasoning why people like having encyclopedias in a row for example.
4. Well not every game gets a game trial and it's exclusive to Playstation plus deluxe. Not to mention Playstation's return policy isn't like Valves where that is the case, if you ever start the game you can no longer get a refund. Meanwhile my local game store branch allows you to go back to the store after 2 days and return the game for a voucher for another game (though I realize that is exclusive to my game store)
5. Isn't that the point of physical though? Sure it isn't instantaneous, but at least I can give it to anyone I want, not just friends I have on a list but I can also have terms on giving it to others like them paying me to own that copy.
6. Yeah this is a major downside of physical, it doesn't happen often, but I will admit that physical games are able to to be destroyed.
7. I'm adding my own point here, but by getting rid of physical, Playstation now doesn't have any competition on their console. They can stop giving the deals they give now, and since there aren't anyone who can resell those games, there wouldn't be any competition, and I know that I don't really want to go back to steam (I like trophies, and that's reason enough for me)
Wait Sony wants to stop doing the one of the biggest things that people love about gaming and thinks this will be over in a few days? If they ever post on Reddit about their reasoning we'll have another "pride and accomplishment" competitor for years until they revert this decision.
@mattitudemf Not my point though. I don't care if I have to wait an hour or 5 for a game to download, the fact I can go to ebay or some store and give it to them for money after finishing, or be able to have the physical sensation of putting my game in is something I value. And the fact any game pulls stuff like this is annoying because it means I can't go to a local second hand store and grab it from the shelf because a company decided to pull this.
@mattitudemf That's not the point though, Physical isn't great because there's shorter load times, but because you own it, short of bricking the console they can't get rid of access to the game you've paid for like they can with digital. The way they've done it this time means that you have a digital copy but now with a box.
I think like many of us, I'll probably give nine sols a try sometime (when my trophy log clears a bit more), Wuchang is another I'll probably try at some point, and I'll be putting EA FC 26 in my technically own but will never play list
I got this one just a few days ago, and it launched my enjoyment of astro bot games in general, though it did take a few months to finish because it was a vr game, though the presentation was really cool

Re: Promising PS5 Sim Rideshare Rocked by Crazy AI Controversy, as CEO Crashes Out in Public
If execs really say that people love AI, enough that it's a marketable part of the game, they absolutely deserve to be fired on the spot.

@NoCode23 You should have a look at this video, it goes over how to do that, and the benefits of doing so.
