I checked it out but not for me. The intro/test was too much effort for a casual time filler. It's probably a good thing to make sure they get people who take it seriously.
I have Night in the Woods in my backlog and Overland on my wish list, so good to see. Usually, the PS5 upgrades happen after I have already started the game on PS4, and I prefer not to have dual trophy lists.
I've played almost nothing but this game for the last week — really loving it. I agree with Abbey parts could be way better, but I always feel like I'm making progress towards better cards/abilities or unlocking stat boosts that will help in the battles.
@Olmaz Agreed. I impulse purchased this one and was surprised by the poor performance given the style (which I like.) Responsiveness is one of the most important aspects of games like this for me, and it's not great.
@JohnnyShoulder Graveyard Keeper is great. I platinumed it when it came out. Potion Permit has a similar vibe but I don't think will be as in depth. I liked the game but am experiencing some of the bugs and holding off a bit for now.
Appreciate the mini-review. As for the grinding — does the game communicate this or is it a situation where you get into a boss battle and suddenly realize you are under leveled?
I can live with the first situation, but the second is really annoying.
I think Colin has it nailed on LSM. They don't want to remove it, but they do want to force Sony to implement Game Pass and get more subscriptions on PS.
I was a bit turned off by the real-time aspect as opposed to full turn-based, but it's interesting enough that I want to play more of the demo. I didn't get very far beyond the first combat mission. The game also has character comments for non-voiced lines that don't match the words being said which is extremely annoying.
This review seems spot on from my 6-7 hours with it to this point. The game is really pretty to look at. My only complaint is I wish the hidden object/camera mechanic wasn't there. I'm fine just reading the story and managing the occasional battle.
I played through this over the weekend, and it feels exactly like Until Dawn for better or worse. They simplified the gameplay, but the story beats feel very similar. I would not recommend until it's $30-40 but I enjoyed my playthrough.
I think the cynicism about DLC with this game is overblown. If they were offering content packs it would be one thing, but a few extra characters that don't impact the gameplay are pretty minor.

Re: Potion Craft Brews Up a PS5, PS4 Port in 2023
I'm in Day One. I was hoping this would come to PlayStation.

Re: Persona 3, 4 PS4 Ports Likely Priced $20 Each, Add Difficulty Settings and Quick Save
They had me either way, but this sounds good. First time for P3 and will be the 2nd for P4.

Re: Get Square Eyes Staring at the Gorgeous Dioramas on Display in LEGO Bricktales
This looks interesting as long as there is enough content. There's a lot of potential if they made a game to virtually construct all of the lego sets.
Re: PS5, PS4 Had 1.5% of Console Market Share in Japan Last Week
Anyone know what the previous week was? Just curious for reference.

Great idea for a game. Seems obvious but kind of unique.
Re: Soul Hackers 2 (PS5) - SMT on a Budget
I appreciate the detail on the review. I may still play this due to the combat being good and dungeons being less of a priority for me.
