@Midnyte-Monkey Most TakeTwo games on Extra tier at most last 6 months (June), but don’t be surprised if it is only there for 3 months (March). Don’t take this as a guarantee, I will look to finish it within the 3-6 months myself.

@Steeleye50 I agree, you always find one that clicks in the end. Previously only difficult games I would play would Fallen Order, but since PS Plus Extra catalogue, I tried games like BloodBorne. I understand not everybody has the time or patience due to other commitments, but for me I slowly got use to learning the enemy and boss patterns and fell in love with the brutal nature of souls games. That game has opened my up to play games like Nioh 1 and 2, Demon Soul Remake, Sekiro and similar games like Returnal.

@Waa-Laa I understand where you are coming from, nothing worst multiplayer-related trophies stopping you getting a Platinum (if you are aiming for). Most games these days would separate the single player and multiplayer portion of their trophies, but best to check if it is the case for Delta.

At least everybody now have the chance to play one of the first AAAA game: Skull and Bones!

You would think she would play Zoe and somebody like Isabela Merced would play Mio. I would be curious how they are going to squeeze everything in, or split into 2 films?

@awp69 Ask you a question, which will get more exposure for the devs of the trailers shown, a state of play or blog post? I know the answer. I didn’t have a issue with this State of Play, plenty of new games announced, mix of big budget and indie titles to look forward too this and next year.

@Th3solution Additional tips when adjusting your settings, have the aim reticle big as possible and have Selene on auto sprint. Especially important against bosses.

@Medic_alert Having the physical discs during the outage meant u could’ve played a game. Downloaded the data and latest update for Cyberpunk 2077 UE during the outage on Saturday without any issues. I just couldn’t redeem Phantom Liberty (PSN code). I do play majority via digitally, but I still buy physical discs as well.

That’s the vibe I got from stuff outside the remake as well e.g. Crisis Core and Advent Children. Haven’t played Rebirth yet so wouldn’t know how the relationships were portrayed in that game.

@NeuralDeclan Same offered the 25% to re-sub PS Plus Extra (mien due to expire end of January 2025). Similarly bought a Shopto PSN digital voucher. Best time to re-sub.

@themightyant I think this is true for 2K games as well (Take-Two Interactive). Saw the same thing for Marvel’s Midnight Suns only 6 months on extra. So in future be aware that these games will have 6 months max on PS Plus Extra.

@Shepherd_Tallon I think it was, Days of Play special one. Honestly, not too bothered as it did introduce me to Dredge which was a intriguing experience.

@Shepherd_Tallon nothing was lost, but I knew for a fact I started the Dredge campaign before it went down. During that time (ps stars was down) I completed the game and I checked just now I didn’t get any the collectible from it (or was it points)?

@Beerheadgamer82 same heard many positive things from this game, started it yesterday. Played around 4-5 hours and absolutely intrigued by the creepy-Lighthouse vibes. My tips would be focus on upgrading the engines (singular not twin so if damaged less of a penalty), use your horn to scare away flying creatures, pin everything on the map (resources, fishes etc).

Not going to lie, XBOX’s showcase was top tier, games after games with mix of cinematic and gameplay. PlayStation needs the competition from XBOX, because Playstation has been complacent without it so far. Hard to say, but imo we wouldn’t have got stuff like ps plus extra or premium as quickly if we didn’t have Gamepass.

@WizzNL I think everyone thought they would be adding more due to so many games leaving. This is very disappointing.

Please don’t remind me, so much trouble with those enemies in BloodBorne. I could never dodge or parry their grab. Frenzy + Grab = Instant Death. Fun times in latter main story and DLC.

@Vaako007 Haven’t played it yet but I heard the minigames were placed on the main story path. I can see why the developers wanted people to play the minigames (due to sinking so much time and resource into them), but some players may be frustrated if games artificially increase the playtime due to this and who only want to go through the story.

FYI massive Firaxis apologist here, XCOM and XCOM 2 is in my all time top 10 games, so I was always going to play Midnight Suns. I can see the cards putting off perhaps casual comic book/Marvel fans, but if you play several hours into, you will rewarded with smart, ever-evolving gameplay with incredible rooster of Marvel heroes. The social stuff and dialogue is questionable, but nothing beats the feeling of Captain Marvel going Binary! Completed the story and enjoyed the 50+ hour journey. Currently on PS Plus Extra!

Might get into this tv show. We might get a new season before a new Fallout game. Not sure I want to play the existing ones like Fallout 4 or 76 (due to the jank and repetitive structure), but I want to see what all the Fallout fuss is about.

@sanderson72 Agreed. Although tbf the download speed is faster (if u have interns hard drive), I don’t understand why it can only download one at a time. When I download in rest mode, it would prioritise updates which I’ve paused (during active mode) and ignore my assigned queue which is weird.

@Ashkorsair Crazy omission. When I switched to the PS5 late last year, I was shocked this feature was not carried over from the PS4. I would like to share videos and images to the Newsfeed instead of just my friends in the message tab.

@Dragon83 TLoU part 1 and 2 are mostly done due to people wanting to play it after watching the tv show (tbf also improved accessibility features in part 1). Sony probably saw what happened to Witcher 3 when the Witcher tv series was released and made commercial sense to release an updated edition to those games. Similarly to the rumoured Gravity Rush remaster due to film coming out in the near future.

Most games that are added for one year: Ghostwire Tokyo, Tchia, Haven, Code Vein. Shame about Civ 6 as it has been on Extra less than a year. Starting to plan my backlog when games are added onto this service to avoid disappointment in the future.

Love they were able to bring over the charm (e.g. propaganda-like comments by helldivers, directional inputs for strategems and computers) and tactical (e.g. reloads, deployment location etc) from the first to a bigger audience! Some people were concerned about the multiplayer direction that Sony was going to take moving forward, but I believe you should room for both single player and multiplayer focused games in the marketplace.

@Dragoon1994 nor did I! But the moment to moment gameplay (shooting and skills) is what made me continue to play past the Endgame. Fallen Order and survivor (I haven’t played the second one yet) has bounties as well. Have u played either?

@Dragoon1994 When it was announced I was curious, but since playing Division 1 and 2 in the past 2 months, has significantly increased my hype for this game. I know they will nail the gameplay, like to see what they do with vehicular combat. Slight concern would be story, as I wasn’t grabbed by the story in the Division games (except for the Echoes).

@JalapenoSpiceLife I think I know which boss u are talking about. I died to that boss as well. U need to attack his left arm (holding a tower), so the right side of the screen. So when u select attack, hover to the right and u can select the arm. After disabling the arm for while, attack the middle. Should stop the boss from counter attacking you after u hit him.

FYI, be careful of downloading Ghost of Tsushima Legends! So I have the base Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, I went to add Ghost of Tsushima Legends on PS4 + PS5 from the PS Plus page. Now it turns out I won't be able to purchase the PS4 Upgrade of the Director's Cut on PS Store. I have spoke to Playstation customer support, they said I have to wait until the PS Plus membership expires and contact them again. My membership expires next January . I wish I wasn't that eager to redeem the games or Playstation warned us about duplicate copy (of part of a game).
