I would’ve thought logically they’d stop selling ps4 the same day ps5 came out, if it weren’t for the supply chain / plandemic issues I don’t see the purpose of continuing making it. Just maintain support for it for a year or so while everyone upgrades.
@theheadofabroom I’m not sure why that would have anything to do with a group of people including someone from sub-Saharan Africa, which they probably rarely ever saw, as godly in their own cultures mythology, unless depicting them as their enemy. I mainly ask because she is the so-called “‘mother of monsters”, so the devs are being a bit racist here, if that’s the case, in casting the assumingely sole black character in such a way. Perhaps she will use her powers for good though and it’ll turn out okay for the story and not be too offensive. Also isn’t she supposed to be a giant? She seems pretty small in the video.
@ThroughTheIris56 yeah, as long as it makes sense and isn’t blatantly forced / out of context I’m fine with it… but this trendy new buzzword “inclusion” in and of itself is a forced concept by definition in this scenario, since it requires devs going out of their way and adding something extra they didn’t necessarily think of when designing the game. It’s more like, an upper level corporate guy comes in and says “squeeze xyz into this game SOMEHOW.” That’s what I don’t like, and it’s obvious when they’re forced to do it, probably against their will at times.
@ThroughTheIris56 stop making too much sense. It’s triggering the NPCs. Excellent points though. I’ve said similar things about this, but unfortunately we’re still feeling the fallout from #gamergate and it looks like the media won that battle. I tend to stay away from the games heavily affected by it the best I can in an attempt to maintain some level of sanity, though it is disappointing when it rarely does indeed impact an otherwise great game.
@nessisonett change things? It was purely a set up to hide their future game plan under the guise of us having an impact. The media spins it as outrageous, people complain, they react by saying we won’t screw you this time, just every other time in the future going forward.
Not only that, they masterfully split the community into two camps, creating their own free army of shills. They won, and are laughing.
@UrbanPlaystation I’m sure they’ll get a few more sales from this article drop. But it’s just incredible to me that the game was capped at 30 to begin with, but even more so for such a huge PS game that there wasn’t more pressure for them to actually utilize next gen specs at launch, not like they didn’t know it was coming. You had games running at 60 FPS since the ‘90s, meanwhile pc gamers are up to like 360 FPS. Guess I just forgot how far behind consoles really are, and a little shocked more game devs aren’t as eager to bring their games up to a respectable level since the tools are available. Sony probably should have applied some more pressure in this regard.
@Flaming_Kaiser no issue, “solid 30 fps” just sounds like a meme for an older game running on a ps5. Sad that it took this long for the game to not be hard coded capped at a ridiculously low FPS for a system that has the capability of running at a decent 60 FPS. Incredible it’s taken nearly a year for games to take advantage of the ps5 specs. Ideally all these games would have been fixed for ps5 before ps5 launch.

@Amusei yeah it’s just so disrespectful to those LGBTQ+ that they are being pandered to purely to make money and get virtue signaling points. I’d be ashamed of Sony if I was LGBTQ+
@RubyCarbuncle Okay. But the point about men is moot. If I’m suggesting my opinion is less women own a Ps5 than do men (which according to Sony is true), why would I be surprised if my own suspicious were reported to be true ? I don’t see how sexism comes into play with making an observation on consumer purchase. No one is bothered by women owning a Ps5 lol, that’s not even remotely the point.
@RubyCarbuncle
This is the same company that supported BLM. So no I don’t believe any PR that would come out of their mouths.
Also implying I have an issue with girls in gaming by telling me to get over it is pretty presumptuous.
Also, the fact that this website cherry picked that one bit of info from Sony’s presentation all but confirms its propaganda lol. You’re allowed to question things, sheep isn’t the required race to select, human is also available.
Definitely getting some noticeable stuttering and FPS drops on Ps5. Some glitching out when near tight quartered areas as well. No crashes yet. Hopefully it’s patched soon.
@Fenbops thanks for a response. I figured as much because the game felt a little choppy in high res mode, might’ve looked better couldn’t really tell, but if it’s not 60 FPS the resolution doesn’t matter too much imo. Ran into the same issue on demon souls, thinking I was having a blast on high res mode until I turned it off and the game ran smooth as butter hahah
I’ll probably stick with the high resolution off. Thanks !
This hasn’t been specifically stated anywhere but wanted to confirm. On the PS5 version in settings, I’m assuming “high resolution” being on is the 4K / 30 FPS and having it off is 60fps at the lower res? It doesn’t have any description. Thanks.

@theheadofabroom I just thought they were going with Norse mythology so she doesn’t really seem to fit that description.
