Overall support for vr2 has been crap same as with the 1, they just see the people who buy it as mugs who will jump on board and buy it regardless, well, not any more, I’m done,
The thing with your character in a game (particularly a first person one) to me is a bit like my own face in real life … I very rarely see it , so it makes fk all difference to me tbh , if it’s a good game made for the sake of being a good game I’ll give it a go,
Maybe if they’d actually act like they cared about the fkin thing then people would feel like it’s worth investing in , there are several games that are amazing but it feels like Sony put these things out, barely support or mention them, then act surprised when hardly anyone buys or knows about it and go oh that must be rubbish no one wants it, ITS YOUR OWN DOING , absolute fkin morons, what was all that talk of hybrid games ?!there are so many games that would benefit from a vr mode that don’t have one
@Dampsponge Yeah I have a huge backlog already, but most of those are ps4 games, at the moment i'm playing a lot of forbidden west which was out aaaages ago and yet looks and runs amazingly, I can't see why I would spend more money on another console in general with how capable and quiet it is,
DOH silly me thinking sony would give a damn about their customers who have bought hardware and continue to buy software, it turns out they don't actually care about providing for said devices, they only care about shifting them, I mean as if that wasn't obvious from how they treat certain devices, psvr etc , fine!, i heard you loud and clear! I will avoid PS6 like the plague!
Kind of tempted to get one of these so I can play a game while the misses is watching rubbish on the tv, but then I will be expected to use that thing any time we both want to use the tv (That I should add, I paid for) so why did I spend 2 grand on a 4k hdr tv again?!?
I'm loving the puzzles but my god do these androids talk some complete and utter crap, physically cringe inducing at times, I think it's more the voice acting than the script but you'd think a race of machines would evolve beyond spoken language and be able to communicate directly in pure data rather than be confined to the linearity of the spoken word, they have radio and video chats so they are obviously networked in some regard... /pedantictwatmode
Other than the occasional cringe line from a droid and the fact that they just keep repeating the same sort of thing about there seeming to be some sort of purpose to the puzzles I'm very much enjoying it,
Only one that has me stumped so far is the one called 'loop' or something like that where there's a driller that you can blow through its own hole but then it gets stuck facing the wrong way against another wall... I don't know if I'm actually meant to do that or not, I'm generally short of ideas of things to try in it , anyway I've moved on to come back to it later but it's there in the back of my head 24/7 pissing me the hell off!!
@Exerion76 ah what I thought the image quality was the whole point of this thing! Was tempted to buy a movie on it to see since I downgraded my plus after the recent increase since I never used the extra stuff anyway, I’ll probably just uninstall this now cheers for the heads up
First one was amazing I did all the main stuff and the DLC but I never did manage some of the bonus star ones, still can't wait to start this one, would love a psvr2 mode!!
With the recent update to NMS I'm having trouble pulling myself out of space, despite also needing to complete red matter 2, see the other half of the Walkabout Minigolf courses, get further in Humanity that I was very much enjoying whenever I played it, and also recursively mangling my brain when not in vr with Patricks Parabox, I really enjoyed boxville although I completed it in one sitting so it was a bit too short / easy really
@sanderson72 Yeah I've disabled my PS5's HDMI CEC for this sort of reason , but still have relentless issues between my 55" Bravia XF90, HTA7000 System and Apple TV, somehow just turning on or being able to control the volume reliably are completely impossible, as either the tv will reset itself, the picture will turn on as a garbled corrupted mess until i change inputs away and back again on the receiver, or the volume control won't work until the apple tv has been power cycled and then all of a sudden it will decide it can see the hdmi receiver again, try and play a song off APPLE music on APPLE TV using wired ethernet that can stream 4k perfectly well and songs just stop halfway through for no discernable reason,, i have homepod minis and at random points you can't set an alarm on them because the slider will unset itself as soon as it's turned on, they'll unpair themselves / show as a pair and a single speaker simultaneously, play at different volumes or just not play out of one channel intermittently, all in all literally every single device i have is supposedly made by some of the best most knowledgeable companies around but all they produce is buggy unusable irritating f**king JUNK, that i would generally get more pleasure out of smashing into a billion tiny pieces with a large hammer than I do from attempting to use the bloody things on a daily basis! Anti Tech FTW
@Futureshark yeah I have vroptician inserts they are a total game changer, I’d never get another headset without them in future, so much more comfortable, and my entire fov is in focus rather than the part my glasses cover, in some ways my vision in vr is now better than it is in RL, honestly couldn’t recommend them enough!
@SJBUK yes I have learnt through many experiences that being top level excited for something will only make it arrive at the very last possible minute, much better to not give af and then it’ll turn up unexpected much sooner 😆
With a ~£600 PSVR2 order that had to be put on my debit card because Sonys stupid site is the only place ever that wouldn’t take my credit card , I have to take it easy on buying games right now or the misses will go mental ,
Exactly why I would never buy one at an inflated price, I will gladly wait another month or two until I can easily pop over the road to argos or PC world and pick one up with no hassle, until then i got a new m1 mac mini with the money that sony would have got
Well, I didn’t want to pay an extra tenner to not have a physical disc or a map, but given that I went to Asda living and they don’t take Apple Pay for anything over £30, I went to argos, whose checkouts wouldn’t accept Apple Pay, their self checkouts do but they don’t let you buy an 18 rated game from those and it tells you to go to the other tills instead, so I went to morrisons, they had it for the Xbox but not the PS4, so I went to PC World, who didn’t have a single copy, but they have PS4s and other games, by this point I was extremely pissed off and decided f**k it. I’ll just pay the extra bastard tenner.
Next time I want a new game I’ll just preorder it digitally rather than waste 40 minutes going between different supposed retail outlets, they had their chance, they suck, time for this logistically useless retail crap to die off , “digital” all the way (bugs me how Sony call downloads digital, as if a bluray is analog)
