Re: Interview: Inside Honkai: Star Rail - PS5's Biggest and Most Ambitious Live Service RPG

As someone who doesn't play the game, I hope I'm qualified to leave my two cents 😏

For the relic pain points, I'm not sure why it still take mihoyo this long to give players individual substat reroll with sanctifying elixir-equivalent .. 🀯

Personally I think someone at the HSR dev team looked at ToF's NanYin inhabit global passive and gave them some ideas for new ways of monetisation πŸ˜…
I'm pretty sure if these were implemented day 1 on a new gacha hit, without a bat of an eye surely be normalised.

Btw, a sponsored interview over an update coverage of a competitor for/on GDC weekend is definitely worth the trip~ πŸ˜‰

Re: Wuthering Waves Has, Predictably, Jumped Straight to the Top of PS5's Most Downloaded in Japan

In the grand scheme of things, downloads don't matter over a single platform. @get2sammyb

For example, last month Nikki has earned ~$20m on one single platform for it's debut.
All the gargantuas are no exception. πŸ’ͺ

Sorry for the usual late input, as ALL OF US are very busy enjoying all the updates over here 🌊πŸ”₯✨

Now waiting Kuro for the ray tracing treatment~✌️

I always treated losing job and losing job opportunities are the same thing, whether it's from direct result of AI intervention.
Creative jobs are a murky territory, where you could see them using AI to automate certain procedural works, but then again the layoffs we seen so far, in my opinion, are just poor human resources management as the industry is entering workload automation whether it's from AI using machine-learning.

If the end justifies the means when everything was perfectly managed to the public eye, then there's nothing to be scrutinized or so we thought? 🧐

PSSR of course is created with efficiency in mind, even the workload it replaces doesn't fall into- replacing creative jobs category, I was just jesting about potential job opportunity lost by embracing AI by vocal non-supporters supporting PS5 Pro and ridicule the need of making another controversialized hearsay headline 😏

By presentation, I mean their story content not delivery. Some are in-game while some are on other platforms..
β€Žγ…€Every new version comes new characters with background stories, and their connection with all the casts and main story.
These characters look samey to the uneducated eyes, they certainly don't feel same when played with~ 🀞

γ…€Most of the time these action rpgs rely on casting abilities and finding the right composition, that feels almost like you're solving the combat puzzle on the fly.

γ…€Everyone's account experience may vary with what they have owned, but it's all about solving your own puzzle/journey. 🧘
Enjoying that in itself doesn't stop with one game, that's why there are choices and you can choose to do with another game. (treat it as New Game+, quite literally not conventionally)

Even if any of the them offer main content replayability, I'd doubt I'll go through the same motions again twice because I know some would not hit as hard as it used to..

So that's why we play them, as separate different experiences ☺️

@rjejr
Yea heheeh~
Just be a casual player like myself, by just doing the essentials and don't stress about missing some days or some rewards.
Weight time-reward factor and decide how you choose to game ☺️

If you don't enjoy the grind, it's okay to just find enjoyment elsewhere πŸ™‚

literally means -
Games all round are quite astonishing this year, but I really can't quite figure out what this year's goty selecting standard was, I bloody came for nothing!"

Somewhere in there he also mentioned that in general, many will only see results and then speak of the results. What I understand is he believes of their results with good confidence thus prepared the speech years prior, but alas disappointed that he couldn't share them.
Not really their fault if they're came what they aim for and everyone else telling them better than nothing only AFTER knowing the results.
For all we know the game was probably in good shape at that point in time otherwise it's hard to think to make a speech based only on a vertical slice.

The rest is neutral stance of calming/comfort the believers crowd and just instilling positive confidence and self-respect into everyone inclusive.

P/S:
From TGA's f.a.q. -
"voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%)"
Staggering amount of the former comes from the west, find out in there yourselves.

Game of the Year means nothing to me if I don't plan to play those games, I only play those that gives enjoyment and if said games happened to be new and got the nomination, good to knowπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘
Also, many like me just follow news and don't bother to vote, even sometimes like the polls here

All the limited event content is very procrastination-friendly, no content dead-locks like a certain game I still play to date. However when Rinascita drops, I hope they keep it that way~

@themightyant
Yesterday's event last two stages was something alright~ Brute forced, gave up and told myself sweaty/skill issue then call it a day πŸ§‚πŸ§˜
