Yawn. The media are still trying to counter the public's dislike of this game with pointless stories like this? All those who don't like the game won't care if it sells eleventy zillion. May as well cut the propaganda now anyway, the game is old news.
@S1ayeR74 Matroska is just making the point that prices increase over time; we can't expect to be paying the same forever. If some people can't afford it at launch, that's just how it is. We're talking about a luxury good not an essential. Buy or not buy is a decision for the consumer.
The update about the voltage increase is of course wrong in its premise. A higher voltage requirement does NOT translate to longer battery life in the way that a higher mAh capacity does.
@lacerz absolutely, i have a big enough backlog as it is thanks to ps plus and the brilliant PSN sale reductions....last thing I want is to be paying a lot more each month for a big bucket of trash games to sort through for the decent ones before they disappear off it.
PS plus won't be going anywhere, these figures prove that.
@huyi same, but I intended to play through the whole Yakuza series last year and haven't even finished Zero so probably not the best idea, although this price is a real bargain for those interested. Very cheap.
post on PlayStationPlus Reddit has got a screenshot of a convo with Sony support, who have confirmed it was just a load of them sent out at random, not to everyone. So not dependent on how long you've been a member, how much you've spent etc. Which is kind of dumb.
It's not the amount involved, more the principle here that irks me. Been on plus since 2013. Anyway, sounds like if you've not had 'the message' yet then you're sol.
Edit here's the online support apparently confirming the random allocation of this giveaway:
Grind central. So.much.grind. and faffing about with power for bases was the last straw for me. Got plenty of play out of it, but no desire to throw another load of hours into grinding materials
@wiiware indeed, I can well remember PS1 games going for £50 in the mid 90s....far more than £65 in today's money, and with no options such as PSN sales or easy re-sell of physical back then!
Bearing in mind you can typically get 15% or so off PSN credit, and sometimes more (I stock up on codes at 25% off usually) the 'real' price is nowhere near that.
And if you're not desperate for a day one purchase, the regular PSN sales of increasingly large chunks off the RRP make it very affordable imo.

Looking forward to this, probably on PS5 where it will really be able to sing.

Discs in 2020. How quaint.
Digital all the way for me so don't care if the boxes have a thousand colour patterns on them!

Re: Round Up: What Was Announced During Sony PlayStation's State of Play Livestream?
Come on, let's be honest - Hitman 3 aside, this was trash. And the PS5 stuff looked...bad.

lol at all these posters shouting about how they'll let their PS+ lapse 'next time'. We all know you won't.
