I LOVED the first one, and I have huge respect for Obsidian. This is one of my most anticipated games. I was looking forward to pre-ordering, but there is no way I'm paying $80 for this or any other game. Sorry Xbox, I'll wait until it goes on sale
@Bez87 I've played the game 3 times and literally bought the PS5 version last night to replay for a 4th time. I understand what you're saying, but I was looking forward to Bill interacting with Joel and especially Ellie. Instead we are given a huge back story to a character that just appears all of a sudden (in the TV series), has minimal interaction with our protagonists, and then is never seen again. I understand the significance of the note, but Bill doesn't seem important to Joel/Ellie. In contrast I actually felt for Tess, because we saw her relationship with Joel/Ellie for 2 episodes. She was an ally and we cared about her. Same with Kathleen. I don't understand why there was so much investment in their story when they're basically throwaway characters, put on screen to be an obstacle in Joel and Ellie's journey. Kathleen did nothing of significance and then she too dies in the most anticlimactic way.
@ThaBEN that's exactly why I didn't like the 3rd episode. We're introduced to a new character, we follow him for 20yrs, but then he dies at the end of the episode. I felt zero connection with Bill.
@Titntin the average user is careless and will give away their credentials if you ask nicely. I work in IT and I've seen users write down their passwords on notepads, post-its, etc.
Everyone saying, "your not the target audience. It's for new players", is just making excuses for Sony/Naughty Dog. Sony can charge $70 for new players, while giving existing owners an upgrade path. Dozens of studios, from indie to triple A have done this. Sony is simply being greedy.
I remember being over 150+ hrs in and still not finished with the story. This game was too long. There was point where I forgot what Eivor was fighting for.
I've exclusively owned every single playstation console from PS1 to PS5. I'll almost certainly buy an XBOX for the first time once Starfield releases, and I'm not sure I'll ever buy another PlayStation. As a consumer having an Xbox is beginning to look like the better value.
I thought it was just okay. Stray was far and away the highlight for me. I understand there were some big games, but I don't care for Final Fantasy, Street Fighter, "Horror" style shooters (RE and Callisto), or VR games. I'm just tired of playing the same games. I want to see more innovation from developers/publishers.
Clearly I'm in the minority here, but I don't mind the animations at all. I remember being so disappointed coming from RDR2 to AC Origins and having loot magically appear in my inventory. It felt so "gamey" and ruined immersion for me, if only for a split second.
I played Days Gone from beginning to end and while it was entertaining, the game is nothing special and the writing is mediocre. There were moments I literally laughed out loud at how stupid Deacon and Sarah were.

Re: Jack Black Calls for Red Dead Redemption Movie, Story 'Even Better Than The Last of Us'
Absolutely agree. RDR2's story is also better than GOW. It should have won GOTY

Re: Despite Scrapping PS4, Gotham Knights Is Just 30fps on PS5
Was cautiously optimistic about this game, but I've removed it from my wishlist. I didn't spend $500 + tax to play in 30fps

Re: Americans Earn the Fewest Platinum Trophies for PS5, PS4
Not surprising. I've had every single PS console and have a grand total of 2 platinum trophies. I don't care for them at all
