Re: How to Pre-Order PS5's 30th Anniversary Collection

NoHope

It is a huge step of progress for Sony to do some kind of lottery, maybe for the 40th anniversary, they can just let everyone interested sign up and then send a link to the winners of the lottery.

IT IS NOT ROCKET SIENCE SONY!!!!!!!!!11!! HATERAGE ^^

Re: Horizon Zero Dawn's PS5, PC Remaster Is Very Much the Real Deal

This will be another opportunity for Sony to show us the power of the PS5PRO, they dropped the ball on the first chance, so maybe they learned something.

Looking forward to it, I hope there will be an upgrade option.
Also a good pick for people who never played it before.

Would I like to see other titles remastered. For sure, just in case anyone missed it, I would drop everything for a SOCOM II multiplayer remake.

However we should not forget that new gamers come in and for them it’s great to be able to play the best version of this fantastic game.

Re: Sony Pulled Bungie's Head Out of Its Ass, and an Ex-Lawyer Reckons That Was a Good Thing

NoHope

Should Sony not rather try and pull their own ass out of their.....? Nnevermind.

Regarding Bungie and the laywer statements. One thing they definetly did not managed to accomplish was giving newcomers an easier entry point into Destiny 2.

Other than that, I still am disapointed in Bungie cutting paied content (or putting it in a vault).

They are a talented developer, they just need guidance and a better layed out roadmap.

Re: Japan Sales Charts: Astro Bot Barely Registers at Retail, PS5 Numbers Plummet After Price Hike

@Secryt

I understand you, however it was not the point or argument of our conversation. Some statistics are just useless in certain situations.
Of course Sony wants to push everyone to buy digital, they get a 30% cut of all purchases, unless they made a special deal with some publisher.

Also, comparing PC digital, to consoles digital does not add up. In the PC market you have different options to purchase via Steam, GoG, Epic store, key sellers snd so on, Sony does not give you the option.

On PC I can play a game from 40 years ago with little to non effort, try this with a PS3 game on PS5 and tell me how this works out.

Re: Japan Sales Charts: Astro Bot Barely Registers at Retail, PS5 Numbers Plummet After Price Hike

@Secryt

Again, they take the whole revenue from the console market. That is the first factor that washes down the numbers. Many games are digital only, than there is a small thing call GTA shark cards, Fortnite whatever they name it(basically all the ingame digital only stuff). Factoring this in the whole digital is not logical.

As an example, GTA V made revenue around 7 Billion, most of it from micro transactions.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Astro Bot?

NoHope

Finished the game yesterday and it was a blast. Lots of cool areas, some awesome ideas and great visuals. I wish I could have played more of the miniture/mouse levels.

I would give it something between 8 and 9, leaning more towards a 9.
For me there was basicly almost zero challenge in any of the levels and the "hidden" bots and secret stages were to easy to find. The game was also fairly short.

Giving this game more than a 9 would mean I had to ignore the existence of a game called Super Mario Galaxy and on top of that there is a Super Mario Odyssey.

For me, Astro Bot is nowhere near Odyssey.

@hi_drnick

Absolutely, my verdict will most likely change, once I played through it completely. There are only small things bugging me right now. Major one is, that there is no challenge whatsoever right now, way to easy as of now. Anyone else got that feeling?

Something not related to my rating of the game, but has to do with AstroBot. It received an update today and since then, it crashed 2 times within the hour, before that not once.

Re: PS5 Pro Reveal Is Already Sony's Most Disliked Console Announcement

NoHope

The criticism from my point of view is very understandable.

Let's start with presentation of the PS5PRO, they do it by "celebrating" how awesome the base PS5 is BUT there will be something better out there and how do we show this off, here goes:

They show lackluster comparison "pictures/videos" on YouTube, which is a joke in itself. No word about power consumption, noise level and so on. Given some peoples problems with the PS4PRO noise level is baffeling.

The Pro is addressed to enthusiasts and such, so I would assume that many of those people had a base PS5 (day one - so no detachable disc drive) and have also a huge library of games (digital and most likely also physical).

So of course Sony asks: why a version with disc drive and lets remove the vertical stand while we are at it.

I addressed the different pricing for US/UK/Europe already, so I will not repeat myself there.

Sony is acting like a bully right now, lets hope someone comes along and puts them down to ground level soon.

Re: Talking Point: Is PS5 Pro Way Too Expensive?

NoHope

First off, the intro for the PS5Pro was very meh, not what Cerny said, but the few "pictures or comparison videos they showed".

I was expecting a price of 649€ without disc drive in Europe, put the vertical stand in and a disc drive and we are talking, then 799€ is hard to swallow, but okish.

What I do not want to see anymore is how any company f's over their loyal "fanbase/customers" and takes advante of certain regions in the world with the pricing.

Further, I do not believe that let's say a GTA VI with RT will run 4k, 60FPS without any compromises on this new shiny box. But this is just me, the future will let us know.

Re: How to Pre-Order PS5 Pro

NoHope

@get2sammyb

Well true, however taxes go from around 10% all the way down to 2.x %. Do the math 800€ is still very steep.

So we get effd hard by Sony.

Re: Poll: Are You Sold on PS5 Pro?

NoHope

Puh, 800€ would have been my boiling point (with disc drive included) and to top it they even took out the vertical stand?

Also, nice to have 2TB, I already have a 4TB internal, this could have taken a bit pressure of the price as well, sad.
