@SMJ I remember hearing that sega lost the source code. But not sure how true that is.

while there were low points(which even then, i don't think they impacted me much), the high points were incredible, it didn't focus on one genre, and had games i had been wanting to see. genuinely might be my favorite state of play, and heck i'm shocked i like a state of play

I'm not sure how you can sell the original ridge racer on it's own since it has so little going for it. Most of the stuff it has is in the other games in the series, and the fact that there is only 1 track means it's going to get stale quickly. The fact this is somehow the most expensive arcade archives release is horrendous. There are so many other arcade racers out there that offer way more, even for the same price.

i think my biggest problem with this is that, besides aba, lbp plays nothing like astrobot,

i feel like doom(2016) would have been a better choice for making enemies due to how varied dooms cast is.

so they didn't bring this up, apparently the dlc is only included in the deluxe version, which is $60.

@PloverNutter this isn't necessarily true. 4 is known to be the game that abandoned the original structure of the original trilogy. if it was 3, i'd probably agree, but it isn't. here's hoping they also remake actually 4, and not ps1 4

Well, already they failed in the naming department. I thought the title was click bait, where it was one of the older gts getting re-released.

@MysteriousMudkip just a bit of a correction, since I wanted to make sure double x was her first metal slug. Apparently she was also in 2 mobile phone games that came out even before that. I didn't know these existed since I have never had a Japanese phone in my life, and I doubt these storefronts for these phones still exist. Still, felt like just making absolutely sure what her first metal slug game was. Not sure if the mobile games are exactly the first. there maybe games even more obscure, and I'm not sure how much I trust a Fandom site. but still, thought to correct myself
