@get2sammyb Grow Home sounds like it is fun in the same way games like Entwined or Flower are, but Armello sounds like a sweet strategy game. My vote is for Armello, but I will gladly take Grow Home if it comes to it. We still get a second PS4 game next month as well, right? (This isn't counting cross-play titles).
Hopefully Everybody's Gone to Rapture pops up on the free list in the next few months...
@get2sammyb This article only applies to first party titles and PlayStation exclusives, yes?
Also, to back your point, I too made the switch from Xbox 360 to PlayStation 4 as I am sure many have. The Last of Us Remastered was a welcome addition to my library and made into my list of favorites. I'm pretty excited to play the Uncharted Collection as well.
As far as games I would like to see remastered, I could get on board with a God of War trilogy.
Quite honestly, I'd rather see a Bloodborne 2 than DS3. They just need to add more features. It seems like DS has a lot more to do and explore than Bloodborne did. I like the feel of Bloodborne more than DS, though.
@BLPs Oh yeah, this is an European site... In that case, I have no idea. Presumably the 500GB model will go on sale when the 1TB model comes out. As far as games, I'm not really sure what you would enjoy. If you want raw gameplay, Minecraft would be a good place to start... Absolutely no story to worry about.
No, but seriously, Fallout 4 will be about the gameplay. CoD is about the gameplay, even if it is a repetitive formula. Destiny is also just fun to play.
I really hope the hotel staff do not throw them out. That would be such a waste. Why are these guys even buying them just to ditch them? I understand they CAN do it, but that doesn't mean they SHOULD do it. You mean to tell me it is really that hard for those guys to bring a PS4 with them in their suitcase when they travel? Give me a break.
@WARDIE I agree with you about the Capital Wasteland feeling more...well, more. New Vegas may have been bigger, but it felt empty beyond the main settlements whereas Fallout 3 had me exploring every little garage and shack I could see. Even the marked relay towers on the map had Morse code signals show up on your Pip-Boy when you explored them.
That being said, Hardcore Mode needs to make a comeback and it needs to be harder. By what can be seen from the trailer, it looks like armor and weapon crafting is going to be a big part of the game. For example, the rifle the Wanderer is holding in the trailer appears to be a Laser Rifle attached to the frame of a Hunting Rifle. There also appears to be focusing lenses of some sort at the end of the rifle. Maybe a custom made Laser Rifle with a longer range but not recoil? Irk, just my speculation.
Looking forward to the game is an understatement. I have been anxiously waiting for five years, wading through the Reddit rumors and vague Tweets just to find a shred of official evidence. To be presented with a full three minutes of in-engine footage, confirmation of rumors and promise of more to come at E3, is much more than I expected to see on Wednesday.
I was happier that day than what I suspect Leonardo DiCaprio will be the day he wins an Oscar.
@Gamer83 Well, I'm from the U.S. and sales here have been favored toward the PS4 until the X1 price drop. PlayStation was the best selling console in the U.S. again shortly after Bloodborne came out. I guess it has been rather dominant in the UK. On the whole, the PS4 has greatly outdone the X1 world-wide. In recent months, especially after X1 dropped price without Kinect, it was beating the PS4 in the U.S. on sales per month. After Bloodborne came out, however, U.S. sales spiked again.
Personally, exclusives don't really matter to me. The games I enjoy the most are multiplatform for the most part. Bloodborne being the one exception right now.
As far as long term sales are concerned though, Sony will need to grab more "console selling" titles. I'm not denying it's success in the last year and a half. And maybe a sinking ship was a bad example. It didn't start to sink, just lost some wind in its sales. cough
@get2sammyb You can get all those games on other consoles. I'm speaking specifically about games that draw people to buying the console because you can't play them on anything else. The Order didn't really draw crowds. Bloodborne was the only game I saw that generated much buzz among the community and it actually did help with console sales. The Order didn't exactly sell many consoles. As for the Witcher, it only helped to sell Xbox Ones because it had a collector's edition exclusively for Xbox.
No Sony exclusive excites(ed) me other than Bloodborne so far. If it wasn't for Bloodborne earlier this year, the PS4 might have been a sinking ship when it comes to console sales.

Re: Soapbox: Why Fallout 4 Has One of PS4's Best Open Worlds
@sub12 I think the style of the world and gameplay fits into the overall atmosphere of the game. It's like game-ception!
Re: Soapbox: Why Fallout 4 Has One of PS4's Best Open Worlds
Fantastic article, Kell. This could easily apply to Skyrim and Fallout 3 as well.
I have put nearly 50 hours to Fallout 4 and I haven't even made it to the bottom of the map.

Re: For Months, It Was 'Impossible' To Get Batman: Arkham Knight to Run on PS4
It arguably runs best on the PS4, so I am glad to see they more than managed to make it through a tough development.
