It’s the outcome of Xbox studios in my opinion, they spend a fortune but now need to recover losses. I can’t think of many new Xbox studio games that have not been lacking significantly. Atomfall, avowed, outer worlds 2. I mean the campaign for black ops 7 is a joke with 4 maps and half the campaign is just some multiplayer PVE environment and it’s on the same map for a significant portion of the campaign. L I play a lot of gamepass to the extent my ps5 not been used since March. It’s a great service but Xbox studios AAA are more like A games they just seem so lacking for a current gen game.
‘others criticised Naughty Dog for continuing to iterate on its half-decade old game’
I honestly think some people are broken, I bet they think if not for this content update we would have a whole new IP, with last of us 3 behind us and 4 due for release next year.
I’m certain this game is not 10/10 and to see the negative as ‘drags in place’ having played the first game can assume this to be a significant understatement.
Yes I am openly dismissing this game without credit simply based on the simple fact the first game was god damn awful….
Form a story respective it’s epic, gameplay is fresh and strangely doesn’t get old. Then there’s the music this really is just a GOTY contender through and through it’s not just hype.
While I’ve selected the second option ‘I’ll pay it for select games, and grudgingly’ honestly I mostly wait for games to go on sale these days. I have way to many games in the backlog and besides GamePass releases hardly looked at new games these past two years.
Comment like this just make them look ‘dumb’ we all have different criteria we’re looking for, I personally think many will be impressed with the switch 2 from hdr,vrr,120fps and virtual carts. Few nice game plus some great ports from ff 7 remake, cyberpunk, Elden ring etc.
Little disappointed with game pricing at £75 but overall to say one random game was your saving grace seems like a pointless comment go and by a rog ally and move on then.
I think there was as few first party new games announced and possible some being left hidden, Nintendo usually have a steady stream of new game each year so I’m not too worried about this point just yet.
For me a minimal does not dilute my experience in discover. It does irritate me during navigation however and partially ruin the exploration. Strange how the devs like you do what I think rather than just put a an option in the settings.
At the same time I also agree with the comment we can end up relying on the mini map. Though for me that’s usually when exploration is not fun or navigation is not easy without using the mini-map.
I would disagree who wants to play a game looking like it was made for the Xbox 360 🤣
It’s about a correct balance of graphics and content and it really depends on many factors form cinematic, style of game. Open world va linear etc. what is the character development like?
I think this creator maybe is too used to a driving game lol and needs to look at the variable before making blanket decisions.
If your only making a game then yeah he may be correct
Besides it falling on a weekend and a lack of official comment which could have seen improvements. I would say it was resolved quickly considering it appears to have been a major issue (outage length). Overall not too bad but I was also playing Zelda totk on the switch so I’m a little biased and also play single payers usually.
No it’s became games have become more expensive and we already had a large backlog why pay more for things we never played anyway !!!!
Oh ps let’s not forget filler content and unnecessary 50-100hour game plays for rpgs / open worlds these days. You sap our time then wonder why lol *****!
Backtracking in the first game was the reason I never completed the game was good and challenging but just remember having enough of it. Shame the backtracking side has not been resolved.
This is the outcome of greed by non-games who have nothing to do with this cash cow. Yeah you make console, yeah you make reasonable adventure games but that is Sony. Stick to what you can do not what you utterly fail at…money doesn’t buy passion, and throwing team after team of jaded employees does not fix thi just waste money.
Meanwhile Sony first party support has been abysmal and we now know why, Sony execs mess up big time this generation.
@RamboMike yeah because parents buy kids games. It’s a kids game fun but nothing beyond that and certainly not to the extent it’s being hype up to, that’s all I’m saying.
If you don’t understand the outcome of effective marketing, and some shiny graphics and sounds, then there not point having a grown up conversation. Go a chat about your Minecraft or Fortnite kill score or somthing .
@Kiryu-Chan yes I’m aware, you criticise a child game the children attack with that only thing they know. It’s logical and understandable behaviour.
Oh the fact it’s so shinny and for kids kinda help with the appeal, Mario wonder also had great reviews doesn’t mean we all flock to it.
Not saying it’s a bad game just it’s nothing special and I really don’t understand the appeal. I’m being overall critical and a d*** though, so I’ll concede and say maybe it’s just not for me, although I still enjoy it to some extent.
It’s just another game with no story or plot and really just average overall. Yet somehow marketing suggested its some game of the year contender and the band wagon jumped on board. Now we have this outperforming much better game based on money and gullibility.
Spoiler alert I’ve played it and it’s just another game nothing all that special tbh!
@PorkChopExpress Because it’s a Mediocre game. Persona 4 was far more engaging.
I’m in the same mindset as you literally played it last night for the first time in 5 days. Honestly I think this game was hyped just for necessity. JRPG are hardly a popular genre these days, unless they have awesome pixel art.

Re: PS3's Store Has Been Offline for a Day, Forcing Fans to Fear the Worst
@SuntannedDuck2 no worries bud many games come back around as you get older. Plus your backlog of games forever grows it’s good to miss a few 😉.
Anyway the store will have a set date for closure this is just a bug
Re: PS3's Store Has Been Offline for a Day, Forcing Fans to Fear the Worst
I’m sure they announce store closures. More than likely some glitch or server failure etc.

Is this because of sales/ps plus offers. Currently it’s less than £4 more for 12 months premium over Extra with like 25% of total price as well
