I picked up a PS5 Pro in the sales. £699 down to about £550~ felt a little too good to pass up on. I've been wanting one for a while, so it's nice to finally get on board. I'm sure the PS6 won't be too far away, but at least I can start saving for that now. God knows what the price will be for the PS6 if Sony haven't pre-empted the supply bottlenecks, but I'm sure they've thought about it.
@1UP-HUSKY I remember staying up all night as a kid playing Alundra, then trying to go to school the next day. It didn’t go well, but WHAT a game! I’d love a remaster or a new one too
1. Don't already have a PS5 2. Haven't played any of the games that are getting an upgrade 3. Prefer digital only 4. Have loads of spare cash
Finding someone that can tick all 4 of those will be tricky, that's very niche! A better way of looking at it, is to ask yourself whether you want the PS5 Pro, or to buy 10-12 full price launch games and keep the OG PS5. I know what I'd prefer !
I'm a bit out of the loop on this one. Has there been a confirmation of the spec yet? Like is there a fairly strong case for people with the OG PS5 to buy this, or is it a sweeter deal for people that don't have a PS5 yet?
I think a 9 is pretty fair when you take into account that it's been made by such a small group. I didn't like the amount of invisible walls, but overall this game is awesome! There's enough depth in terms of build and setup to keep me happy and the amount of secrets and hidden areas is perfect! I'm caring less about missing trophies because I'm looking forward to doing another playthrough. What a game!
@species I'm still in Chapter 2 atm but I believe I'm close to the end of it. I'll report back! I've been playing in performance mode and it has seemed okay, but I'll happily blame input lag for all the times I've died
@jrt87 I'm waiting for it to drop. I didn't rate the demo much but since then I've been thinking about it and I want to play the full game. I do have Wukong preordered so I guess that will keep me busy
@Ultrasmiles I 100% agree with this. I've always loved that feature on Steam that shows you how many hours the person has played. It definitely gives it a bit more credibility.
I played this on PC and I enjoyed it. It's pretty short but it's fun to figure out and see all of the different clues... some creepy, some not so much. I might buy it again if it has a platinum
@Dezzy70 not sure if this makes any difference to you but it’s a bank holiday on Thursday and Friday for the Queens Jubilee so you might be able to stay up later if work was the reason not to?
@thefourfoldroot I checked out the prices on CEX too but ended up going with GAME because I was able to use some of the credit to pay off some of the accessories for my PS5 preorder too. With the pandemic situation the convenience of just going into one shop was a more attractive prospect. I got just over £300 so it’s funded a few games for me, the satisfaction of not having to change discs makes it worthwhile. Most of the games I traded in had already been platinum’d and the DLC done so it made sense, not to mention every time I opened my game cupboard about 5-6 fell out like dominoes haha
I can relate to everything you said in this article. At the end of the PS4 era, I traded in my entire physical collection for credit at GAME. I used this to buy lots of digital PSN cards and have since bought AC:Valhalla, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Borderlands 3. I don’t think I’ll get any physical games despite buying the PS5 with the disc drive, I’m gonna see how long I last !
I looked at getting the CX but I already had a standard 1080p 55” Samsung TV. I decided that if I was getting a new TV then I wanted to go up at least one size, but the 65” CX was way too expensive. I ended up getting the 65” C9 (the model before the CX) and it’s honestly amazing too. If anyone is looking for a new TV then don’t overlook this one too!
@themcnoisy yeah that’s a fair point. I think most people know whether they want it at launch or not, so asking them to save £50 a month for a console isn’t too difficult? If the price reveal is the true deciding factor as to whether you get it at launch (perhaps because you’ve not saved in advance), then it’s more important to know, but even the tightest of budgets can make this happen with a bit of forward planning. I’m only optimistic because I’ve saved already, if I hadn’t, then a £600 console would screw me over and I’d have to wait.
I struggle to understand why people are that bothered about the price at this stage. We’ve known it’s coming for quite some time so the opportunity to save up has been there. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to know the price, but it’s not a deal breaker for me. I overestimated at £600 and saved that over the past few months so I’m ready. Now it’s a question of will I be able to afford a game in that bracket too...

Re: Match-Three RPG Puzzle Quest Returns in Immortal Edition on PS5, PS4 This Month
I wonder what the platinum trophy looks like for this? I assume there's only one for this entire game.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for September 2025 Announced
Viewfinder is an excellent puzzle game; it's a bit like Superliminal and The Witness.
Re: Kojima U-Turns on Death Stranding 2 Review Scores, 'Happy' with Them
@DaveTheRave I find that kinda mad because the second one is exactly the same in terms of gameplay I love them both though!
Re: Elden Ring Nightreign (PS5) - A Ruthless Roguelike Reinvention of the Lands Between
That's great, but is it more fun than RoadCraft? I'd like to play this, but I don't want to drop the game we're currently playing together.
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5) - Daring, Quirky RPG Is an Absolute Must-Play
@JB_Whiting I said this as soon as I started playing too. It's mad isn't it haha
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5) - Daring, Quirky RPG Is an Absolute Must-Play
@LiamCroft What is the pacing like? Does it hold up well throughout or does it suffer with some big sections that feel grindy or a bit boring?
Re: The Last of Us-Themed PS5 Controller Available to Pre-Order Now
That is really ugly, imo :[
Re: PS5 Pro Announced, Costs $700 and Out in November
I think it's more attractive to people that:
1. Don't already have a PS5
2. Haven't played any of the games that are getting an upgrade
3. Prefer digital only
4. Have loads of spare cash

Re: Black Myth: Wukong Builds the Hype with Stunning Final Trailer
I've not preordered anything for a while, but this game looks amazing. The trailer absolutely sold it for me.
Re: Mini Review: LocoRoco: Midnight Carnival (PSP) - A Frustrating Yet Jubilant Jamboree
I enjoyed this to begin with, but the controls were a bit annoying and frustrating. Not a patch on the first game imo
