Re: Talking Point: Why Are Fall's Biggest Blockbusters Flopping?

I did get Titanfall 2 bc of good campaign reviews, and I am enjoying it. However, none of these recent games focus much on narrative, just pure gameplay that I've seen before. And no, I will not be "pre-ordering" (people still do that?) The Last Guardian. It honestly hasn't spurred much excitement in me and it seems too similar to ICO/SotC, which were great at their own respective times for their unique atmosphere but weren't the most "fun" or "exciting" games.

@johncalmc @Reverend_Skeeve Great, thanks for the comments. More of the same isn't bad in this case, loved the first game (and expansion).

Was hoping for more of a comparison to XCOM: Enemy Unkown, this reads like a basic overview that could easily have been copy/pasted from the first XCOM game. Didn't learn much

Totally agree, played it release week on "crushing" and hated myself (and the game) for it. Totally kills the casual nature of the game's tone and makes shooting from ropes and charging totally unrealistic in terms of gameplay. Disappointing, because "Grounded" in TLoU is probably my favorite example of difficulty done right.

Well I just ponied up for the Hitman Intro Pack, so that's a solid bet, especially since episodics tend to make their first episode free towards the end of their runs.
