“Lackluster demand”? Isn’t Bandai Namco well within the top five most popular game companies? Although it seems like lately they make games off whatever fad anime is popular at that moment…

EDIT: I’m not talking of course about Dragon Ball or One Piece. Those are anything but fads and have an incredible and long histories.

@Dom_31 That’s exactly what I was thinking. It would probably be the most interesting choice I think. Someone new finds the Death Note, and you as L has to investigate the murders or something.

@TrickyDicky99 That’s exactly what my brother did in a few games on 360. He loved them when he was a kid, and it felt like there was more to the game for him.

@hel105 My brother is like that. Not really into chasing them in games, but has 100% in a few games that were extremely important to him growing up, so it felt like it extended the game for him.

@Andy22385 That’s…Actually a nice way of putting it. I know some games make it worthwhile gameplay-wise, e.g. The Wolf Among Us if you try different story lines.

@MrPeanutbutterz I remember the Deadpool game poking fun of that and giving you a Trophy for literally standing up when the game begins.

I never understood the obsession people have with these Trophies or Achievements. Why not just enjoy the game? I mean, sure I will admit some are fun to try the challenge. But I never saw the hyper obsession to get every Trophy for every game people buy…

Another week, another Ubisoft article. I’d honestly be surprised if they make it through the year. Low stocks, considering a buyout, and now this? There’s no way they’ll make it.

If they actually did port Halo to PlayStation, I’d honest see it as a confirmation of MS not knowing what to do anymore and slowly cease the console market. I mean sure, they have other exclusives like Gears and Forza, but if they move they’re bread and butter, Halo, which has been in severe decline, to PlayStation, then what’s to stop porting other games and even continue console development? My brother had absolutely no interest even in an Xbox zone, but bought one just to try Forza Horizon 3, then got more games later. But it’s true, exclusives help sell consoles. If I want to play like Ratchet & Clank or Mario, I’ll buy the consoles those games are for. If Xbox has no exclusives anymore, why even make a console?

@Deityjester Agreed. Some franchises are very much okay for yearly releases; Mario, Atelier, but some just don’t need it like Assassin’s Creed or Pokémon. I feel it just cheapens brands. And in Ubisoft’s case, it seems to be biting them in the ass hard.

Damn, poor ol’ Ubi just can’t catch a break anymore huh? Seems like there’s an article on them everyday here. I personally don’t own any of their games, but I HAVE enjoyed ones I tried before. If they do get bought out, then I wonder how it’ll affect AC: Shadows. I’m not getting it myself, but am curious about how that release goes.

I find it odd more JRPGs are starting to come to Xbox when previous games never came to the console. Neptunia, Persona. I get it. It’s about selling more copies on more systems. But like everyone is saying, there’s not much of a market for JRPGs on Xbox. I know there are players who would play on Xbox, the only game I’ve even played so far on my 360 is The Last Remnant, and I recently got Star Ocean: The Last Hope. But again, like everyone else is saying, there’s just not a lot of people who will play those kinds of games on Xbox.

Are these VR2’s compatible with PS4? I’m honestly not well informed on technology….

So they released a stealth update, only to have a more improved stealth update next month?

If they’re doing so well, why fire people? What. To make their profits seem even larger?

I didn’t even know things were skipping Xbox releases. I just assumed everything was multi-platform except for things like Astrobot, or recent Final Fantasy games. Even Idea Factory started releasing their games on Xbox. But seriously, do they really need to investigate why? Pretty sure a quick Google search would suffice.

Well if anything managed to beat CoD, I’m glad it’s Dragon Ball of all things. Something just feels satisfying about seeing it selling more at the moment.

@naruball I never really understood the whole obsession people have with needing to follow reviews to buy a game. I mean, sure, if a game is horribly buggy and unplayable, or has really awful controls, then yes, reviews are fine. But I’d rather get a game I like and try it myself. Hell, I’ve actually enjoyed some buggy, poorly reviewed games and enjoyed them.

I love Star Wars, and I am a woman. But honestly, I just feel there’s so much of it lately I feel rather burnt out. Like, I was excited for Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor. I didn’t keep up with any news for this game really, and I haven’t even finished Bad Batch. Plus I don’t even own a PS5. But that’s just how I feel about it, I just didn’t feel any need to see what this game was about.

Damn. I heard they were very picky about licensing out Warhammer, but didn’t know it went that far. Kinda impressed.

@somnambulance Honestly, I don’t think it would be anywhere near as big as it is without all the multiple collaborations and crossover skins it has.

Yeeeah. No way in hell is that happening. Even if it does, I’ll just stick to my Vita, 3DS, and 360. Sure, I enjoy a few mobile games, but I really don’t like all these new “live service” crap that keeps popping up.

With all the controversy and exposure this game is getting, it’ll either be the worst selling game in the franchise, or the best. I honestly see it going one way or the other.

I don’t really get excited for new games, or anything like that, aside from Nintendo mostly. But I am really looking forward to this. I’ll have to see if I can “borrow” a PS5 for a bit after it’s released…

PlayStaion becoming Xbox then? That XONE update a year or two ago added so many pointless ads….Seriously. These consoles already cost a fortune, we don’t need all these ads. Or. Nobody does. I don’t own a PS5… But damn. That looks absolutely horrible and gross.

I only got 3. I mean, I barely just got my first PlayStation console like a month ago, and still haven’t even set it up yet…

So that Type A and B thing was true…Damn. Seriously, what purpose does any of this crap serve? How does something like that even make the resting go up? Look at some other games that have plenty of exposure in character designs and it’s perfectly fine, and then there are some that get criticized to hell for it. I’ll never understand it.

@Afroducc Everyone wanted open world, until the point where everything was like that. And just became over saturated. At least, that’s what I have noticed.

@TrickyDicky99 I feel like this gen is more about making everything look “pretty” graphics wise, instead of making things worthy of being played. I mean, I could be wrong. But it’s just what I have noticed.

@Medic_alert I have a relative who DID pay the $70 for Tears of the Kingdom as a huge Zelda fan. But won’t spend that much for any PS games Just doesn’t feel it’s worth it what with things needing updates or still having DLC when most games feel incomplete anymore.
