Re: Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Is the Most Successful Dragon Ball Game Ever in the US

LavenderShroud

It is a good game, and I have enjoyed the the bit I played with my brother. But I honestly felt it could have been a lot better. Especially story mode. They spent over a year recording dialogue and yet I have to read everything there? Which isn’t a bit deal to me since I play a lot of visual novel-esque games and undubbed JRPGs. But I was really expecting so much more…

Re: Feature: Why Would Sony Want to Buy Kadokawa?

LavenderShroud

I’m not particularly a FromSoftware fan, actually it wasn’t until last night I learned I have one of their games and hopefully I like it. But I am disappointed this works out poorly for Spike Chunsoft. I like what they make, especially on Nintendo. Don’t get me wrong, I like PlayStation as well, but feel like SC mainly excelled at handheld ventures? Aside from Budokai Tenkaichi. To be honest I didn’t even know Kodakawa owned a gaming devision until these articles started.

Re: Oh No! Youtooz's Plastic PlayStation Tat Looks Lovely

LavenderShroud

@MFTWrecks I find it crazy PlayStation doesn’t have a consistent or ongoing toy line myself. Nintendo and Sega have Jakks Pacific, Halo has more or less Jazwares even though it is incredibly inconsistent lately. Even Square Wnix makes those freaking expensive figures in-house. Yet nothing from PlayStation…

Re: The Game Awards Under Heavy Criticism for Elden Ring DLC's Game of the Year Nomination

LavenderShroud

Well if I needed any less reason to not be interested in Elden Ring, it would definitely be this. Seriously, this is a joke, like all award shows…

Honestly with all the hype and everyone around Stellar Blade, that SHOULD be GOTY. I finally got it yesterday, it’s taking a bit for me to warm up to it. I of course don’t care about awards, but this is ridiculous. Even Silent Hill 2 remake should be in the running since everyone seemed to love that one.

Re: Do You Really Want Devs to Make Lower Budget, More Original Games for PS5?

LavenderShroud

Affordability is important. That said, my consoles and handhelds are long since discontinued, so looking for games is cheap for me. Except the damn Vita…..

I’m really not into all these new high budget extravaganzas that always come out anymore. Stellar Blade is a bit interesting to me. But I still like simpler games that don’t need flashy graphics to sell.

Re: DOOM, Elder Scrolls, Fallout Devs Strike in Protest of Parent Company, Microsoft

LavenderShroud

Is Microsoft EVER acting “in good faith”? All they want to do is monopolize the gaming market and prove repeatedly they haven’t a clue what they’re doing.

That said, this is the fourth Microsoft article today on a PlayStation site?! Good Lord, Microsoft is getting out of hand.

Honestly, with all the strikes, buyouts, companies being closed, everything else that’s been going on lately, I feel we’re headed towards another crash…

Re: Square Enix's New AAA Games Are Being Trounced by Final Fantasy 14

LavenderShroud

I hope they don’t scale back too much on single player games. I actually really enjoyed Square Enid games, mostly Final Fantasy though…Wish they’d make more spin-offs or something that weren’t just mobile games. I loved WoFF it particular. I’d rather have single payer experiences, because I’m not into online games or multiplayer too much outside what me and my brother play on Nintendo.
