Anything that cuts down on the ridicilous required grinding in jrpg's is a good thing.
Though it's high time they got rid of that ancient and quite frankly terrible mechanic, which was just there in the old 8 and 16 bit games to artificially pad out a game.

..Words can not convey just how much I hate resident evil 4.

( 0 and remake are great games, but 0 was just a prequel and remake a reinvention of the original. )

This " evolution" of the adventure game genre, isn't exactly a good thing.
It went from an actual game genre, to a glorified barely interactive story book, where there is just a pretense of choice and no actual choice at all. Because the game will force the story it wants to tell on you anyway, the Telltale " games" don't even pretend the choice you makes has an impact on the story at all.

Thanks a lot for removing all that icky choice for me Telltale !

Paramount missed a huge opportunity with not releasing the 13th Friday the 13th movie on Friday the 13th in 2013.
There were 2 of them in 2013 December and September.
This was a opportunity they will never get again and they ignored it.

God I can't stand any of these.

And the idea that Bioware lost it's edge is risible.
That seems to imply they had an edge to begin with, instead or repeating the same game over and over again with a new coat of paint.

Didn't buy it at all.
Dont plan too either, untill I pick it up used.
I got enough to play on the ps3 and 4.

bloodrayne 2 is more like Bloodrayne 1, but set in the modern world with slightly better graphics.
It's still the same game otherwise.
And after that it took 7 years for a new Bloodrayne to surface. And it was Betrayal.
..What a fitting name.

I remember the blood omen series.
I have most of them.
bloodrayne is more like Nocturne, also from terminal reality.
Bloodrayne's development name was Nocturne 2

IIt doesn't help that I don't like platformers and that Betrayal is in the super kaizo mold of difficulty.
So I wasn't best pleased.

Truth be told though, is that the first act of Bloodrayne 1 is a bit dull. It doesn't get good until act 2.

That is the third game, that is Betrayal. The one I don't like, because its not even close to the original.

Nah, that sounds more like FF13.
At least there is no garbage story, cringy voice "acting", nor is the game totally linear.

where the "choice" they give you isn't a choice at all.

I personally loath platforming im not good at them and platforming forced or otherwise just frustrates me.

What I really want to know though, is how bad the grinding is
or better yet if there is any grinding.
I can deal with platforming if I must, but if there is any grinding I tend to tune out.

This is exactly the reason why I loath online gaming
and online only games. They live and die by the grace of the server operators.
And all of them are on borrowed time.
It's just a matter of time before the plugs are pulled and that fancy game is just another useless piece of plastic.

You can use it as a coaster maybe.

To be honest that sounds like every other FMV game out there.

It's biggest sin then is that it's boring.
At least you can snicker at the inept ones.

So in other words its like all the other FMV games.
A barely interactive movie.
Just this time the video part isnt compressed down to run on a Sega CD.

Thought this genre died out in the late 90's though when Trilobyte went under.

Maybe this will finally be a Gran Turismo I will be interested in.
Because the previous game play was as dull as dishwater and I never understood what people got from it.

Not too sure about the online centric part of the game though.
Never cared about online gaming.

Yeah but Nintendo and sense don't really co operate anymore these days.
Look at the Nes classic shortage and the fact they are killing the thing instead of ramping up production.

Psn right now, is too much like a game of russian roulette with your money.

Well too bad for you then, they got your money and your stuck with a clunker in your library, you can't get rid off.
Ive had quite a few games i didn' t like but had no way to get rid off.
And they are still clogging up my psn game library.

( Bloodrayne Betrayal is one of the games i was really dissapointed in.
Betrayal is right I expected a scrolling beat em up, what I got was an insanely difficult platformer.
which is hardly what i wanted.)

Might buy it, but it mostly depends on the gameplay.
If there is any grinding, i'm out.

So from bad Disney princess clone, to something slightly more realistic and expressive.

And off course the damn thing wasn't ready but it shipped anyway, cause we can patch right ?

i'll get this in 2020 when its on sale.
Maybe, no way will this be a full msrp price tag for me.
