I found Yotei kinda, boring. Loved Tsushima and even played through and enjoyed Shadows earlier this year. But can not get into Yotei. :-/

Is the reason Switch 2 not being a competitor based more on it probably not being able to run the vast majority of games coming out in the future? Because that seems fair. Nintendo is kinda off doing their own thing anyways. Where as PlayStation and Xbox were direct competitors for the more traditional console.

The rumor is Halo Studios has a live service Halo MP game coming out. From the Waypoint post a couple days ago they pretty much said 2026 will be the last year for Halo Infinite MP, I think that is a pretty big indicator that this new Halo MP game is coming soon and they will no doubt want it on every platform they can get it on at launch.

Really depends on what’s releasing. This time of year I can buy 3 new games in a month but come April-August not so much.

@UnlimitedSevens they have already started to dwindle stock of Series S/X so from what they have shown they are moving on from the current consoles. If anything I see all of this as them speeding up to the next hardware.

But still websites posting articles off any Joe/Jane on gaming forums is a terrible look.

Xbox just released a statement stating they are still making next gen hardware and posted their agreement with AMD. Posting articles on Reddit ramblings is not good journalism.

@Valgore probably I just don’t see a point in any of it anymore especially if they are just releasing games on Steam faster and people are going to be fine with just waiting instead of buying another piece of expensive hardware. Might as well maximize profits right off the bat

@Valgore I think at the very least it should be this but also games sell more on day one hype. If Sony wanted maximum profits from their games they would release them all day 1 on all platforms.

@Ricky-Spanish nope. You get a warbond credit for one free warbond and some armor. But the credit can not be used on the Halo Warbond because it’s legendary and cost more than the others. I used the Warbond credit on the control Warbond as it was the only one I didn’t have unlocked on PS5 and bought 20 dollars worth of super credits to get the Halo Warbond. It’s been fun starting over from scratch again but kinda sad losing all my warbonds that I will slowly earn back over the next year.

@Ricky-Spanish I own Helldivers 2 on PS5, it was my GOTY last year, I prefer to game on my Series X tho so I was thrilled when it was announced on there and all my gaming buddies could grab it. They love it and now I don’t have to pay for two online subs anymore. But yea we all bought the deluxe version and the ODST warbond. I am thrilled the game is doing so well on all platforms, it’s a brilliant co-op game.

I am betting most of those Xbox players (myself included) also bought the Ultimate edition and another $20 on the ODST warbond. Sony’s loving it.

I would like to see what the game actually is. I like shooters, I like MP games. I was interested in Contraband as well before MS axed that one.

“Some bland sci-fi shooter” try again. Will definitely be another SoulsLike with some plants gushing over it. If anything we need more sci fi shooters.

I played through AC Shadows earlier this year and this looks just like it. Even the story and the options while talking to certain NPCs to locate certain missions or cargo.

@ILuvGames yea im not sure how it’s going to work out but this seems pretty spot on to me. I think enough people are invested into Sony’s ecosystem to last them quite a while but it really depends how they adapt to the market shifting and the younger generations gaming habits. As long as I get my shooters I am happy haha

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare they have been 3rd party for years when they started porting their games to PC. Now those games are going to be on Xbox branded hardware in October when the Xbox Ally X drops, followed by the Xbox hybrid console in the next year or two. What I see in the near future is that Sony will have a storefront on PC and possibly Xbox, that will probably come down to if Sony allows an Xbox store on their hardware. But really I see a battle of storefronts to lure costumers in but we as costumers will not be having to buy similar hardware just to run a handful of games we want that are not being released on their preferred hardware. It’s why PC is growing so much, people are either over the console war BS or those that never cared.

@KawakiisaFraud the industry is changing, adapt or die just like any business. I agree that console/pc hybrids are the future. People just want options and with physical media dying that choice is going to come in the form of more digital storefronts and competing subs.

I enjoyed Starfield. They tried to do too much with it I feel like but it’s still a lot of fun.

God of War is 7 years old. It’s just sitting there on the sub service now. Release it on Xbox for whatever price, instant and easy profit for Sony. Microsoft did it with Forza Horizon 5 and is about to do it again with Gears. It’s really a no brainer.

Probably because it will no longer matter after this gen. It is looking more and more likely that the next Xbox will include Steam, so the games will be available on Xbox platforms regardless. Hell later this year you will see PS games on an Xbox branded handheld. Xbox is already bringing their games to PS because they own the console market. The war ended last gen.

@DonJorginho to be fair I am playing Donkey Kong right now so it’s not like they couldn’t be playing a game and commenting at the same time.

People give these outlets and even streamers too much power. If you like how the game looks and it appeals to you play it. Letting others choose what you play is bonkers.
