Re: 'We're Discussing Ways to Improve': Marathon Dev Tweaking Monetisation and Difficulty as FPS Fails to Blow Up

Gabrielmpf

I just don't get this game or Bungie's decision to go forward with such a niche game.

I mean, the first thing a developer wants in a GaaS game is to please as much gamers as possible with their game, to bring revenue. Yet, they went with Marathon, a game (like it or not), that is one of the most divise games in recent history.

I get why Destiny is a game that many FPS players like, because the visuals are very good (the first thing players judge - maybe second, after gameplay...). But Marathon? I don't know, it just fells weird.

It was always going to be a risky choice, even if it was a single-player game. But as a GaaS game, a game to replace Destiny as Bungie's main game?... Definitely not the greatest idea.

Re: Going Platinum #2: The Witness

Got the equivalent of the platinum on Xbox, and at the time it was incredibly satisfying. I beat the game while avoiding the temptation to look up guides. There were times I felt stuck, but always managed to solve it. I probably wouldn't be able to beat it today, since I get bored easily now with this type of games.

Re: PS5 Fans Divided Over Helldivers 2 on Xbox Pivot

PlayStation fanboys move the goalposts so much, you no longer know where the goal is...

When MS bought ABK, they were afraid Xbox would take multiplatform games off PS.

Now, not only they get to keep those games, but also get exclusive games from Xbox.

Suddenly, a live-service game comes to Xbox, and they're worried about PS exclusivity and keeping games off Xbox. Go figure.

Re: Infinity Ward's Turn in 2026, Sledgehammer Games in 2027, Says Call of Duty Insider

I don't know why people talk ***** about Sledgehammer. They made two of my favorite CODs, Vanguard and WWII.

We hear people complain all the time about copy/paste year after year. Yet, when a developer makes something different, it's trash...smh

On topic. As for next year's COD, more Black Ops isn't necessarily a bad thing. Means more time for the other two developers to work on their title.
