Re: Dev Admits PS5, PS4 Tintin Game Is Unfinished on the Same Day It Releases

Fragpuss

@Mossbergs It's not the devs it's the publishers/suits that insist on deadlines being met because they have laid down money for a game and advertising and they want to see their return on that, they care little about quality and extra delays mean more money spent on readvertising further down the line so they choose to disrespect the customer base because they know it can be "fixed down the line with a patch". Honestly it's more refreshing to see the devs going against the publisher and outting this information about the game however last minute as it probably means the studio won't be releasing any more games after the publishers dissolve it in retaliation

Well it's now July 2023, i just got this game (thanks Boomerang), i got the ps4 version and had fun with it enough to get the plat which involved 2 playthroughs of the story. I agree the clunky controls are pretty bad but the game never crashed, no real bugs (no pun intended), and overall a fun experience.. .

Then we come to the ps5 version (you get a free digital upgrade with the disc)... i deleted it very quickly, graphically it looks marginally better i guess but the game judders so much that any immersion and enjoyment is soon gone.

I think the ps4 version had an update but the ps5 version didn't when it really should have.

@Milktastrophe on that same subject of not listing different platform versions of the same game separately, why on Earth did they change the home screen to show mukti platform games separately instead of being able to choose the version via the ootions button? Frankly that was a dumb move on their part and it should be restored like that on the home screen and the store!

Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Gets Surprise DLC This Month, 2022 Expansion Is 40 Hours Long

I've played every AC game at launch since the first and tbh Valhalla is one of the worst imo. The plot is terrible, the asgard stuff was boring, Eivor is entirely lacking in any personality whatsoever and if you just wanted to play the main story you can't because the final mission is locked behind a skillwall so you are forced to level up with more side missions (which are actually the most well written and fun part of the game) before you can do it. Honestly it feels like Valhalla doesn't deserve the success it's had and it's only people creaming over the viking setting that has made it successful not the game itself. Origins and Odyssey were much better, and so was black flag, the ezio trilogy, syndicate... infact the only worse games are unity and 3

I honestly don't get why Valhalla has been so successful for them, it's average at best and lagging way behind origins and Odyssey in terms of quality, story, and fun.

For me it's in the lower half of all AC games. A boring, uninspired storyline that's literallythe same mission repeated, a main character with absolutely zero personality, charisma or charm, and locking the final mission behind a grindwall is just lazy.
