Oh dear... Never would have expected this from Falcom.

Stellar Blade
Astro Bot
Trails through Daybreak
Unicorn Overlord
Granblue Fantasy Relink

Haven't yet played Persona 3 Reload, and currently at the very beginning of Metaphor ReFantazio so couldn't include them

0 interest in this type of game personally

Stellar Blade. Finally bought the game during a Black Friday promotion. Didn't expect to love it as much as this, close to a masterpiece imo!

And here I thought The Game Awards couldn't be even more of a clownshow. Looks like I've been proven wrong.

Still on the excellent Ys X: Nordics two weeks after starting it, gotta love this Falcom goodness

Mostly happy, wanted to try Ghostwire

Ys X Nordics. I'm saving Metaphor for the Winter break.

Why is there a picture of an evil-looking vampire? Which game is he from?

Eeeh not interested

What do you mean PS Stars "may" have been nerfed?

First they decrease the expiry time of points from 2 years to 1 year.

Then they choose to no longer give points for renewing/buying a PS Plus membership.

Now they remove several exchange options.

Not to mention all the technical problems these last few months.

If that's not total nerfing, I dunno what is!!!

Meaningless numbers which have been manipulated to push the narrative benefiting a multi-billion dollar company

Later down the line, and loved the PS2 Budokai Tenkaichi series

Well deserved, Astro Bot is a top-notch game

@PuppetMaster Same, I'm glad to see Visions of Mana in the top 10! It's the game that surprised me the most this year, such a joy to play!

@TripleKing333 Thanks! Will look into getting one or two.

No, and zero interest, don't like survival horror games at all

I love this game. Got a copy early 2016 and was amazed at its quality. My favourite ever non-Gran Turismo racing game for sure.

@TripleKing333 Hey, would you have any tips on how to store them, please? My collection of PlayStation discs is ever-increasing and I'm struggling storage-wise...

Any other non-Atlus game with those cons would have been given a 7 or 8 at best...

Mostly happy, Doki Doki

Echoes of Wisdom, AstroBot (one level a day), Gran Turismo 7 (one weekly challenge a day)

Preordered Indigo and Teal DualSenses... Wish I could have restrained myself because I already have Spider-Man and AstroBot ones...

@LavenderShroud IKR! Me reading through this section:

@colonelkilgore Many thanks for that list, much appreciated! A few of those you've mentioned are actually in my backlog, seeing them made me motivated to start them soon (Alice Madness Returns especially).

I found El Shaddai to be pretty good. Do keep in mind it was released in 2011, and there's a Remastered version that came out a few months back on Switch which is surely superior. The PS3 version still gave me a good experience though.

@colonelkilgore Hi, could you please list the games in your PS3 backlog that you've cleared? I enjoy going back to my PS3 from time to time, and this year I've started and completed Folklore, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, and more recently Lollipop Chainsaw. I'm always open to recommendations for this underrated console!

Metaphor ReFantazio Prologue Demo, which is a pleasant surprise to me. Will start Zelda Echoes of Wisdom once I'm done with it.

@Zuljaras Best comment. People are so used to getting voluntarily ripped off nowadays. Oh well, it's their money to burn.

"No, I don't want a PS5 Pro", especially not at that insulting price and without a disc drive

Lunar, Fantasian, and Ghost of Yotei have my vote

@Czar_Khastik Someone actually bought that A4 sheet...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/205013565573

Characters in Metaphor Refantazio named after/inspired by F1 drivers:

Hulkenberg = Nico Hülkenberg
Gallica = Divina Galica
Strohl = Lance Stroll

Not a coincidence at all

@Czar_Khastik that'd be nice, along with a PS Vita version with cross-save compatibility to carry on playing on the go

Nice review. Will pick this up on sale.

Glad I managed to snag a PS3 copy for £30-ish last year, turned out to be a rare game with a high price!

Pleasant surprise it may be, but defo not an 800-quid one.

Still on Visions of Mana. As with most JRPGs, I'm starting to get burnout after 50 hours, so will start Astrobot as a cleanser in-between my sessions.

Managed to snag a sealed copy at Argos for £47 thanks to discount codes

Way too expensive. Was interested, but there's not a snowball's chance in hell people will be paying that price.

These businessmen truly live on another planet. Absolutely delusional.

@VeldinX How are they the same thing? They're totally different...
"Nope, it's overpriced now" = post-increase
"No, it was already too expensive" = pre-increase

Visions of Mana, such a lovely game. Will buy Astrobot once I've completed it.

Loving Visions of Mana, great to see it in the top 10. And Emio is one of the best visual novels I've ever played, so glad to see it there too.

Nah. The Special Bots are more akin to free DLC, with their own separate trophy set.

"Too talky for its own good" for a visual novel is the equivalent of "too much shooting" in a FPS game. 0 logic in that con.

Spider-Man 2, nearly all wrapped up with the story and platinum trophy

Very puzzled they managed to get so far as releasing a trailer without receiving a cease and desist...

Another reason that the VITA is a beast of a console is the fact that it's also a Trails-machine, with a total of 7 Trails games being available on it: The Sky Evolution trilogy, Crossbell Evolution duology, and Cold Steel I & II. I'm thankful I managed to discover this gem of a JRPG series thanks to my VITA.
