Completed the story campaign of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD and did a few optional revisits of bosses and played some Flick Rush, and started Warhammer 40K: Boltgun, which is really, really simple fun
Played Infinity Nikki for 100hours, have had my fill of gacha shenanigans, so this is a pass on that merit alone. 7DS also went from peak to trash over its lifespan (except Escanor), so the theme also doesn't do it for me
@Logonogo but in what way does it represent the city? To me, it's like going to a horse race, slapping a sticker with a city name on each horses' forehead, and be "proud" of the horse with the sticker of your city on it's forehead ... Buuuut ...
As I am writing this, I acknowledge that the main allure is the other people (friends, family, neighbors ...) who root for the same team, and the team of your city is the "easiest" to follow since it is nearby, so it does make sense in that way.
@Genghis_Schlonng Nah I get where he's coming from. The players aren't from the city the team "represents", so why care if your "home" team wins or loses? I would rather follow a player or a coach through their career instead of always cheer for the same team. But I understand this view differs from most people.
Don't care about sport games, but I understand a lot of people do. Alone in the Dark and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk are ideal PS+ fodder, not interesting enough to buy, but interesting enough to try for free.
I will miss the discounts, but I won't miss PS Stars because I never cared about it. Like, the digital collectibles were scraps from a aborted NFT project (when those were all the craze). Sure, they were nice to look at for a second when you got them for free, but who would pay for them, as you couldn't do anything with them?
Been playing through The Story So Far since the pandemic, atm playing Dream Drop Distance, in the Notre Dame world, and the gameplay is starting to grow on me. But the franchise really should find a way to knot everything together in a satisfactory way and start anew someway, cause damn is the story a mess even if you try to follow it ... After playing for 400h, really want to dig into KH3 but still got to get through Chapter 2.8
Has potential. But played Infinity Nikki recently, loved it but quit after the main plotline, since as an adult, I do - not - have the time for gacha games.
I don't understand the whole upheaval about Nintendo's price hike ... We're in a global recession, inflation is rampaging everywhere, and since Nintendo doesn't really do the MTX-schemes in their own games, the only way they can combat inflation is with a price hike ... If you buy Mario Kart physical, you'll also be able to sell it for almost purchase price, since physical Nintendo games retain their value for a long time
I can't wait for the "larger map is better map" to lay down ... Give me a small and dense map, which changes over time, or which you unlock parts of while you play. The Yakuza series always have small maps, but you really start knowing Kamurocho
Spent 120h on this game, dropped it after spooky season since I managed to complete the story by then. I also realized that the sidestories are not particulary engaging and I don't care about the dressup part enough to keep logging in on the regular. But as the new area entails more gameplay, I will make a short citytrip to Miraworld again! Really looking forward to the major update, really curious where InFold will take the story
As a kid, Ubisoft was a brand which stood for quality. Rayman, SplinterCell, BG&E, Tom Clancy, FarCry, Assassins Creed, Watch Dogs ... Why chase a trend which already is falling off or is saturated, be original again, make some great singleplayer games again with a more limited scope and world
Like I am fine with Nintendo asking $80 prices for Switch2 games, since Nintendo doesn't really do the whole MTX money milking shtick in their games, but other pubishers who do will absolutely follow suit ...
Eh, if it were just a base price increase I'd be ok with it, inflation and all, but it's on top of all the other money siphoning tactics which are implemented in games nowadays ...
Nice selection of double AA games, covering a lot of bases. I will definetely give RoboCop a try, maybe Digimon too, but Chainsaw Massacre will be a skip for me because it is multiplayer
Just bought Grounded full price a few days ago, last time they get me to pay full price -_- Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy is one I will snag up for that price tho!
Played it for the first time a big year ago, what a game, one of my GOAT's, a spend DAYS reading up on theories on the lore after completing The Old Hunters
Don't care about clothing merch, give me that remaster collection alreadddyyyy - I loved the original PS2 game (never played 2) and finished the PSP games multiple times, but most of all, I want to play the recent ones, but first I want to play the old ones, come on alreadddyyyy
@Haruki_NLI they are free competent games which are heavily "inspired" by other games (e.g. Genshin is very much "inspired" by Breath of the Wild) and most can be played on your phone. As they are free, the games are gacha games, meaning important progression is tied to items you only can acquire by pulling for them via random loot boxes. This pulling requires a currency you can acquire with real money, or by doing (daily) quests. Often (always?) these gacha games are predatory in many different ways, as some items are only available for limited time only (i.e. "banners"). Got into Infinity Nikki myself, which is a fun 3d platformer with gongeous graphics, but also got out of it (as I am not really into the dress up part of the game, where the gacha is oriented at)
Played Yooka Laylee on the PS4, thought it was a fun 3D-platformer. Surprised the developer does a full remake, would have preferred a sequel actually.
Releasing a successfull GaaS is (was?) the holy grail (cash cow) every publisher aims for, just like MMORPG was before it. Sony had multiple in development wanting that GaaS money, but only Helldivers II succeeded, and that success came completely out of left field for Sony, as Helldivers II wasn't (severly) monetized. But gambling costs money ...
@z0d15g0d Maybe, but it isn't clear if you'd only get an one time payment, or if you gain royalties when your voice is used in an generative AI. If it is an one-time payment, it better be big because when your voice is available for a company via generative AI, why would they need your VA services again? If you gain royalties it could be profitable for VA's, but legislators/accountants will have work to do ...
Do games truly need more power behind them? I mean, loadtimes are barely a thing anymore, graphics are topnotch, development time is already at the max ... Limits create creativity, and I think the limits of PS5 aren't really explored fully yet
Checking boxes off can be fun, but be careful, that's how gaming becomes another job ... Using the trophy system as a simple archiver of my gaming journey instead as a checklist a small decade ago revitalized my love for gaming
I almost can't keep up with these updates, just been able to finish the main quest and firework isles! Great game, developers truly put time and effort in it. First gachagame, and its essentially free as I do not really care about the dressup part (did buy the fireworks bicycle for 1€ tho)
@Richy2025
Its not a GaaS, so I don't see why this should be free for owners of the original version?
@Hundred_Hand_Slap
Don't forget about gems like Bloodrayne: ReVamped, Asterix & Obelix XXL: RoMastered and SpongeBob BfBB: ReHydrated!
Helldivers II is (or rather was?) an AA title, and it carries the GaaS strategy of former Sony management on its back. Also, the double AA area is partially taken by indie devs
I hope Shadows is great and it does well for Ubi, but I also hope Ubi dares to reinvent AC again for the next iteration. And they should try to diversify a bit more, drag some old IP on the forefront (SplinterCell, Rayman, Prince of Persia, finally release BG&E2 ...)
@RiotShieldsHurt Thanks, and I do yours! Given the difference between the games, I do understand your POV. Eternal is complexer in its gameplay, more fastpaced, almost no horror element anymore, and feels way more arcadey than 2016.

@Truegamer79 I recommend these:
There are a lot of other PS2 games which are also good/decent (like The Movie The Game), but those didn't receive a remaster or remake yet.

Re: Madden NFL 26's PS5 Box Art Immortalises One of the Coldest Moments in Recent Football Memory
@Logonogo Yeah, as somebody who doesn't care about sport teams at all, it was a bit abstract at first glance, but you make a valid argument

@Logonogo but in what way does it represent the city? To me, it's like going to a horse race, slapping a sticker with a city name on each horses' forehead, and be "proud" of the horse with the sticker of your city on it's forehead ... Buuuut ...

I like to think the girl on the left daftly positioned her arm like that to upheld her boobs, because otherwise they'd droop past her bellybuttom.
Exaggerated anatomy aside, great anime art.
If you don't like it, don't interact with it.
