Crystal of Atlan, a self-proclaimed magicpunk MMO from Nuverse, is coming to the PS5 in less than a month – and no one’s paying attention to it.
The anime-style free-to-play game features over 20 character classes, all unlocked from the off, with tons of skill combinations for you to experiment with. You’ll find co-op dungeons and more, as you battle your way through a “fantastical world where magic and technology intertwine”.
While the game will be free-to-play when it releases on 28th May, a couple of pre-order packs are available featuring various in-game items.

The first, for $9.99/£7.99, includes the following:
- Phantasium Pass (15 Days) (x1)
- Starting Pack (x1)
- Arcanite of Brocade (x10)
- Top-up Point (x720)
Meanwhile, the second pack for $19.99/£15.99, includes the following:
- Phantasium Pass (30 Days) (x1)
- Advanced Adventurer’s Manual (x1)
- Starting Pack (x1)
- Arcanite of Brocade (x15)
- Top-up Point (x1,440)
In our experience, these pre-order packs are rarely worth the price of admission, so maybe sit tight and wait to actually try the title before you cough up any cash.
The game’s scheduled to release on 28th May, and developer Nuverse says it’s “meticulously optimised” the experience for the PS5, although it’s unclear whether it’ll feature crossplay with the PC and mobile versions.
“As a standalone platform, PlayStation offers a unique and immersive experience like no other,” the studio concerningly said, suggesting this may be another Tower of Fantasy situation, where the PS5 edition exists separately to the other available versions.
Either way, the little bits of combat gameplay we’ve seen of this game look great, and while we’re not personally huge on MMOs, we think this one definitely deserves a bit more interest.

Great trailer, great artstyle, but not really into MMO's either. Never heard of it before
Alright, despite it being MMO, I'll give it a chance. Looks awesome.
First time I heard of it. Will need to see what gameplay is like. If it's good, then I hope it has crossplay, so I can play with my friends.
"although it’s unclear whether it’ll feature crossplay with the PC and mobile versions"
If i wanted to play with PC and mobile people i would buy/play the game there.
Turing crossplay Off is the first thing i do in many games.
Looked more like a trailer for an anime than a game. Maybe they should try showing some game in their, uh, game trailer.
As it's free I'll give it a bash, but I'm likely to drop it like so many other MMOs I've tried.
Marketing: "Hey have you heard there's this new free-to-play MMO..."
Me: NO!!!
That two minute trailer is a minute too long
