Re: Promising Sci-Fi RPG Exodus Changes Its Main Character's Face After Fan Criticism

ArrrrPG

Exactly @JohntheRaptor.... So so Weird... People who were complaining originally will now complain new one is too generic. And who can blame them. Also in any case none of these people were gonna buy the game and dev should have stuck to their vision. This is a bit lame way to handle criticism overall. Sounds there was simply no vision unfortunately for them to just pivot like that with an AI face generator.

Re: The Witcher 3 Remastered Reveals Huge List of Improvements, Including PS5 Pro Support

ArrrrPG

@Exerion76 it truly is amazing! It will also work in their favor and boost DLC sales so its a win win. It is ultimately a marketing coup, but to provide free remaster to sell a DLC seems like a very generous coup lolol. In a world where studios like SE charge you for essentially re releasing the same game over and over without adding anything, all we can do is celebrate a dev that does the exact opposite, regardless of the intent being to sell a DLC, its free stuff and we shall rejoice!!!

Re: 'We've Been 100% Listening': Insomniac Already Acting on Marvel's Wolverine Criticisms

ArrrrPG

Im curious about the repetitive combat issue... Its supposed to be a combat game, whats the issue not enough moves, enemy diversity? Obviously combat needs to be tight as its a core mechanic... I dont see people bashing on BoD as much which just release with virtually 5 enemy types and combat is also central... Obvi different kind of games but... Im curious exactly and objectively how bad is combat truly...? Ive watched no trailer or review just read a bunch of comments....for reference I thought Spidey 2 was mid and didn't finish (thank god it dropped for free on ps plus). But loved Miles Morales.

Re: Poll: 10 Years Later, Is Persona 5 a True JRPG Masterpiece?

ArrrrPG

Great game, but I have to agree with some comments, dungeons were very repetitive and life sim aspects do get old quickly. Is it perfect? No. Are combats and story great? Yes. Is it worth playing? Yes. That said I must have tried a new playthrough 2 or 3 times but never managed to stick with it personally... The life sim aspects always end up turning me off... To each their own though, no doubt its a great game worth trying at the very least, even today @Oram77

Re: You Can Get Phantom Blade Zero's PS5 Platinum Trophy on Its Easiest Difficulty

ArrrrPG

@GilaMonster the trophy system actually counts for nothing as it is.... I for context only plat games that I already got 90% of trophies by playing the game normally and will entertain a 2nd playthrough or chapter select (ff7 remake, gt7 are 2 for examples that I had most trophies by just playing and figured lets go for em) to get what im missing just for the fun of it, and only if I really intended to play the game after finishing, it gives me a reason to stick around a bit longer before putting it away, thats me, doesnt have to be everyone.... Also personally I will never look for a guide first to get a plat in one playthrough, I play, I enjoy, thats it...

Now, all that being said, trophies really are meaningless in a sense and I think if someone does care about it, they should be able to get it on any difficulty. Imagine for example having a handicap and getting an achievement like a trophy actually means a whole lot for you somehow as a personal achievement. Its so easy for you to say it should be done a certain way only because you can (play on hard)... Sometimes meaningless things for one can be meaningful for someone else and and it should be accessible to all, particularly for something like this which has zero and I mean zero impact on anyone but yourself...

What you are saying, is that you getting a platinum makes you superior to someone who cant, and thats kind of a sad way to live... I hope you reconsider your stance.

I ask you kindly to just enjoy gaming and let things go a little in life.

Re: If Things Don't Turn Around for DON'T NOD, It May Face Closure in a Matter of Months

ArrrrPG

@guacguacboo problem is (almost always) marketing not the combat (in the case of Banishers). Look how much press Blood of Dawnwalker is getting and very much all comments reflect what you just said about Banishers, "bad combat gets in the way of storytelling" but heres why, good marketing... "a game made by Witcher 3 dev"... will sell no matter how bad the combat mechanics or enemy diversity is.also its a 9/10 on Steam, only IGN seems to have bashed on em... Just bad marketing which resulted in poor sales.

Re: GTA 6 Targeting 30fps on PS5, Undecided on Performance Mode

ArrrrPG

Funny that the discussion for 60fps with this game actually exists being whether its ok not to have it. But for any other games its automatically not ok and theres usually no room for it.

One must ask why is the biggest release of gaming history with biggest budget getting a pass on such a basic element now a standard in the industry?

Because they chose to push graphics far beyond what the console can handle and they get praises for that? Just another way to re-release paid upgrades later on... I find it a bit lame... Ill continue to play catch n chill at 120fps on my switch 2 in the meantime....

Re: Hyped PS5 Soulslike Mortal Shell 2 Has an Easy Difficulty Mode, But There's a Catch

ArrrrPG

@Faraz27 I came here only to read comments like these. Amazing you're the first in the list! Truly gamers cant be satisfied. If no easy mode exist people complain no easy mode exist. When an easy mode exist people complain its unfair for those to put in the work to grind. When a dev finds a middle ground to satisfy both sides, you complain still... Give me a break....

Re: GTA 6 PS5 Gameplay Coming This Month, Here's When to See It First on Netflix

ArrrrPG

@Mr-Cage my advice here is keep your expectations low. Its clear it will sell insanely regardless if it being good or bad. Its clear that all studios will follow and increase their prices after this, and its clear im unclear whether I will buy this or not lol (most likely not tbh). It feels wrong and so many other good (better?) games releasing this fall...

Re: This Revelation Should Terrify All Console Fans, Particularly Those Looking Forward to PS6

ArrrrPG

I wonder if this is the time where stores start offering payment plans... You know like for cellphones... You pay over 12, 24 months... If consoles are expensive I can see people budgeting for em over time like any large purchases these days.... Most people dont need new phones, but having the ability to pay them over time allows the market to sell them to people anyway by stretching it over several months... Much like overpriced phones, new consoles arent necessary at launch but I believe theres a way Sony/MS/Nintendo can figure out a way to make people afford them and buy em even with increasing prices... And technically if you just keep your current iphone 2 extra years youll save enough money for your new shiny console.....

Re: The Witcher 3 Vibes Are Inescapable in New Dawnwalker Quest Gameplay

ArrrrPG

Wow that first 7:30min out of 8min was painful to watch (yes I mean the whole thing was painful) , click X 20 times to hear some canned lines, what a poor storytelling mechanic... First BoD footage that actually turns me off and starting to lose interest... And everything clickable in yellow or white marker... Gross design and nothing immersive. Something we've seen (and hate) been done a million times by now... I actually thought this was gonna be good until now.... So disappointed... And then getting a 20 sec underwhelming mini boss fight with little to no action.... So bad...

Re: Rumour: PS6 Costs Sony Almost $1,000 to Make Right Now

ArrrrPG

I find it funny people assume you can just fit a ps5 pro into a handheld no biggy... I personally don't want an Xbox S handheld edition in the Sony ecosystem... I say either release ps6 as planned or delay 4y. Dont try to bridge the gap here... Instead they could try to ship more ps5 pros in the meantime, were just scratching the surface of pssr on this thing, and just make this the new gen officially... This is going to be very interesting to see how things develop regardless...

Re: Sony May Mitigate Hardware Pricing Nightmare by Simply Selling Fewer PS5s

ArrrrPG

@get2sammyb you know that Costco sells chicken at a loss to get customers to come to their store so they buy other stuff. Same principle applies to ps5s. Sony can afford to lose 100$ per console because in long run those people owning a console sooner rather than later will make them more money. Selling less console doesn't make it more profitable if you look at big picture. Only if you look at the hardware alone but thats not Sony's business model anyway so looking at it from that angle alone makes zero sense in my opinion.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Stripped of All PS5 Microtransactions as DLC Nears

ArrrrPG

I finished the game and explored quite a bit. I was able to ignore completely the fact that microtransactions existed in this game finishing with over 10 unused ferrystones... I used oxcarts alot since this was how the game intended you to travel for the most part and ferrystones only when I needed to skip quickly to a very far location for a specific quest... I do feel bad for those who spent money in the store somehow now that those purchases are being rendered irrelevant... Oh well lesson learn people? Probably not... Those stores shouldn't be allowed to exist....

Re: Crimson Desert's PS5, PS5 Pro Modes Revealed, PS5 Pro Offers Substantial Upgrades

ArrrrPG

@DennisReynolds yeah im actually reading about this now... Seems fsr3 was introduced in 2024 on base ps5. Where some other methods of upscaling existed prior as well... I thought AI upscaling on ps5 pro was first to introduce upscaling somehow it isnt the case... Interesting...first time I notice a game being upfront and specific about "how" they plan to achieve a specific framerate... Its making me somewhat optimistic...
