@Oram77 Given how much they've butchered D2 for the last 6 or so years, I'm glad they aren't. I have no faith we would get a great game. I think most of the talent that gave us a fun exciting game have left.

My buddy got me BG3 for Christmas so I'm playing that a lot. Luckily he got me it on Steam not PS5 so I can actually play it in high res and a solid framerate.

@koffing more like 3w in rest, and about 45w when doing things in rest mode, downloading game updates and such.

Rest mode always. If it had quick resume like Xbox maybe I'd do a full shut down, but some games still take a while to load in and make us look at logos of the companies. Not many show the cards to jump back in quicker that we were sold on in 2020.

Also I can then use the app to tell it to download new games, and it will keep recently played updated.

So we get crap, average indie, and old but decent... Meh.

@rjejr Only similarity with genshin is the art style in places, and the gacha mechanic. Obviously they play differently being a turn based battle vs action hack n slash.

Why would you put this? The game is delayed to 2025, not just the PS4/PS5 release.

I find it funny that there's recent games that don't even support it, and are just basic PS5 games. Take Astro Bot. Nice game, quite pretty, but the shadows are a bit poor in a lot of areas, and it really stands out in the mouse level, they look crap. And it's the same on the Pro lol. I mean it's a console, it's a closed eco system, you can't just set your games to ultra. But this is a Sony published game not even offering any advantage for their new upgraded hardware.

After the Vita? Hell no. Hell even looking at the PS5, hell no. Get a Steam Deck or similar with millions of games? Or get a locked down portable Playstation, that, knowing Sony, won't be supported very well, and all my existing digital purchases wouldn't work on it but they'd sell me ports of my existing games like they're somehow new.

I kinda expected it to be free since they said this was a thank you to all the players.

Nah, when it's cheap years later maybe. This has been my least used Playstation next to the PS3. Not much excites me on it, and most of what's good can be played elsewhere too, so no need for a PS5 to play em.

Cosiest lol. Until it kicks in the usual gacha with loads of different tutorials for tedious modes it wants you to learn for a million upgrade materials and crap... Ugh no thanks. It's what killed Genshin for me. At least with Star Rail you can autobattle to get all the annoying crap.

My only nitpicks with the game are the shadows are still a bit low quality, like in Playroom, and it's really obvious when using the mouse shrinking power. And the music, which I love, but has Kenny been sat on his hands for 4 years? I'd say 90% of the music is recycled from Playroom and Rescue Mission.

lol, what? Ya know people buy physical games online, right? There's tons of games shops that run exclusively as online stores. I myself got it from The Game Collection for £49 with £11 back in reward points. I'd say the various online stores where you can buy physical games is why crappy shops like GAME that sell for RRP or near enough are struggling.

The selling point of PS4 Pro was at least hey look, 4k! Even though hardly anything was and most stuff wash checkerboard rendering, games still looked better on our shiny new 4k tvs.

This is gonna be, hey look this game looks a little better, look at these side by side screenshots to compare... Also the price is just crazy... Meh.

Hell no. The PS4 pro at least gave you 4k output and lots of games looking much better and higher res than the 1080p machine.

This is just, some games might look a little better and run a little better. And for an insane price.

I got a PS4 Pro. This has no appeal to me.

4 years on, 2TB is the least I'd expect. Also if it cost £500 and came with the ODD I still wouldn't buy it. Oh a few games that run rough will now run slightly better cause of the GPU, but the CPU is still the same old Zen2 chip just a tiny bit faster... Nah. I imagine the GPU is probably still weaker than my 4 year old 3080. And the CPU will be a bottleneck still, Watch GTA6 still only be 30fps on this.

They could have put in a Zen4 chip at least for more uplift. Shouldn't have any compatibility issues really. Hell I paid £310 for a B650 board, a 7600, and 32GB of RAM to bring my system up to date a bit more, but in 2024 they're charging 700 smackers for a Zen2 system. Just lol.

@HotGoomba Yup. I added a 2TB NVMe to my PS5 for £70.

@Czar_Khastik You can't remove the SSD. And I very much doubt you have a 16TB M.2 since they don't exist.

I think it looks crap, just like the slim and standard one. Probably the ugliest PS generation. Though that PS3 Super Slim was damn ugly too.

[edit] Memory Meadow guide is a bit wrong, no point getting the canister with a net in it at the start as you need your hands free to pull out the two cables to walk across first. THEN get the canister.

Yes, I've already preordered it for PS5, but a future PC release would be great. They'd get more of a following and I'd be able to actually play it in native 4k ok my PC with better shadows than the meh ones the PS5 has.

1 was decent, 2 was good, pre sequel was decent, 3 was mehhh. Boring story with barely any interesting points, some decent level design but very annoying characters. I had to play with voices set to zero cause the two antagonists were so utterly annoying. Then I played Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and realised the story could be even more boring than 3. But with the gameplay being rather bland too. So... Yeah. If they had the BL2 team on this maybe it could be decent. But lets face it, given their last two games it's gonna be a turd.

Wild Hearts performance mode is 1080p with issues... lol

@Stale-Bread No one expects it to run games in 8k. But the point is it can't output in 8k. If you connect it to an 8k TV you can still only select 4k as the max res.

@Max_the_German That's uncompressed. DSC would let it output 8k60 in HDR.
