Kayak VR was one I bought immediately after I dropped down to Essential. Super chill. Great VR showcase game.

I am straight up dreading horseback archery. But trophies are trophies and my addiction is my addiction.

FYI several of those PSVR2 games on the service are on that big list of games leaving the service this month.

I'm currently working my way through the game a second time, going for the platinum and one of the HC trophies. This will fit in nicely. I'll have to do a 3rd playthrough for those other 2 DLCs after they're out. Still the greatest game of all time.

Get ready for another Red Dead Redemption style, low effort, 30 fps cash grab. I'll get it anyway because I'm part of the problem.

I'm still scared that all the good writers left and we're going to be left with a substandard story in a world designed for GTA online. But even if that's the case, the sheer amount of money and effort thrown at it suggests that it'll still be better than most games, just not up to par with previous GTA games. Or I could be wrong and this could be the best game yet.

If it lacks a platinum trophy, I'll be upset but will be forced to admit that it's hilarious.

For the first time in ages, my PS+ account will be used for multiplayer and not just free games. It's time!

Boltgun was lots of fun and I guess it's time to try heroin- er, Balatro.

These sound like complaints that I would also have were I to see the show. My city's local orchestra did an evening of video game music where they played everything from Tetris and Zelda all the way up to Megalovania with the full orchestra. It was incredible. Stripped down versions (maybe with a string quartet) could be cool. But this hybrid approach sounds unsatisfying.

What... we didn't like the opening? Personally I think this game has the absolute best pacing of any open world game I've ever played. The second I got bored with something was the very moment the narrative introduced something new. To me, it's the most remarkable aspect of what's essentially just a pretty good game.

So that's how it is? We some sort of... Dark Pictures Anthology?

After playing and beating the game at launch, I finally went back and tried hardcore mode (all negative perks) on the first game. It is SO MUCH fun. There are a few negative perks I could do without (Numbskull turns progress into a grind) but I love the lack of fast travel and the need to truly navigate. Hardcore is just how I'm going to play both games from now on.

And that's why I'm switching from Premium to Essential this month! Well... that AND my own personal playing and buying habits.

@Oz_Who_Dat_Dare It was on sale on PSN for that much just a couple weeks ago. I think it was one of their weekend sales that was only in effect for a couple days.

JUST picked up Robocop for $10 on the weekend sale a couple weeks back. Oh well. A month of asymmetrical multiplayer with the rest of the free folk could be fun too.

After bouncing off all prior Souls-likes, Bloodborne was the first (and so far only) one that clicked for me.

My premium is about to become an essential so it seems like as good a time as any to grab Dying Light 2.

If this gets rid of the flashing, then Jesus Christ be praised, etc.

@ShogunRok Thank you. That probably makes the most sense. I'm seriously considering playing it in canon mode when I eventually get to it.

Just curious but... how are romances handled in that "canon mode" that's newly available? Do you still get to choose, are the romances removed, or do they pick one for you?

The final XBox's power wil be eclipsed by it's sudden and inevitable failure. Years later people will still talk about what a shame it was that it failed because it was capable of so much. This is a certainty because people insist on making the same mistakes over and over again.

I'm approaching the level cap so I assume that I'm nearing the end of the story. I'll likely take a small break between playthroughs but I'm going to dive back in on hardcore pretty quickly.

Gears 3 was some of the only multiplayer content that I ever played so it's a bit of a shame. But so long as some form of Gears MP lands on PlayStation eventually, I'll probably give it another go.

I'd like a low effort port of GTA IV that offers no quality of life updates, no remastering, and no options for better frame rates. I'd also like it if it was nearly the same price as a brand new game. I shall not be disappointed.

Never played Hardcore in the first one but I am itching to try it on this one. Having played the first so many times, the sequel is a bit easy in certain areas so I'm hoping that Hardcore reintroduces the struggle.

SS failed for all the reasons already gone over. Quidditch failed because it's a ridiculously poorly designed game (the creator, not the devs). So how the hell does that translate to "Let's cancel the game that actually fits what our customers want?" Executives who aren't familiar with their own industry are a plague.

I'm still getting the flashes even after turning on motion blur so I hope this patch addressed that too. I've had a couple crashes and I ran into the bit with Pavlena referenced in the notes. Overall, it's run really well but I welcome any improvements.

When Suicide Squad was given away on PS+, I tried it for a couple hours. The only reason why I didn't turn it off after the first encounter was because I was enjoying the story and cutscenes a lot. After a few more encounters, I was done though. Give me that Arkham gameplay back and I'm sure Rocksteady will crush it again. But good Lord, don't be an exclusive to any system!

No one was forced to make live service. They were just made to feel that no project would be approved if it wasn't. That's some hair splitting that only an executive (even a good one like Shu) could ever pull off.

I'm the opposite. I've been Premium since it became available and I plan on dropping to Essential next month when it expires. I've simply been buying more games and don't have a need to gamble on whether games I'd like to play are on the service or not.

It's quite something to be playing a game for the first time that I'm pretty sure will be my favorite game ever. Fortunately savoring it slowly is part of it.

I want a personal apology for what they've forced Bluepoint to work on and an announcement that they're working on Bloodborne II as an offer of recompense.

I was too deep into KCD2 which had downloaded earlier in the week. Didn't even know there was a problem until I tried checking my trophies.
